Mit der Hubvorrichtung kann der Strickzylinder in Vertikalrichtung bewegt, das heißt von seinem drehbar gelagerten Laufring abgehoben und aus der Strickmaschine herausgeführt werden. Mit der Verstelleinrichtung kann der Strickzylinder oberhalb des Platinenschlossträgers seitlich d.h. in Horizontalrichtung aus der Rundstrickmaschine herausgeführt und soweit verfahren werden, dass er beispielsweise auf einem bereitgestellten Lager, beispielsweise einem Hubwagen oder dergleichen, abgelegt werden kann.
