Description

The invention relates to a door pillar for a roller door, preferably for a fast-running roller shutter, with a flexible door curtain, according to the preamble of claim 1.

Specially designed guides for guiding a curtain are from the CH-A 561 350 known. A feeding rail for guide rails of a roller shutter is described. The feeding bar acts on the roller shutter bars increasing the friction between them so that the roller shutter does not generate any noise when exposed to wind.

The U.S. Patent No. 4,478,268 describes a so-called damage minimizing gate for closing a vehicle passage, wherein the gate is constructed of a rubbery material. The curtain is attached along its upper edge to a curtain winding mechanism which includes a winding drum mounted in bearings. The bottom edge of the curtain is connected to a finishing strip, which is made up of angle members and a flat bar. In this curtain, the side edges of the curtain can be pulled laterally through a slot opening formed by each guide channel when a strong wind load is applied to the curtain.
The curtain has a thickened area extending along each side edge of the curtain. Each guide channel of the gate has a throat of reduced width to limit the movement of the door To restrict thickened edge surface of the curtain out of the channel. Each throat of the guide channel is narrower than the thickened edge of the curtain. The thickened edge surface may be provided with an oblique shoulder on the side where the thickened surface meets the thin main surface of the curtain.
A difficulty with this known curtain construction is that considerable friction can occur between the thick rubber edges of the curtain and the guide channels, especially when the curtain is exposed to high wind or air pressure on one side thereof, which causes problems in the operation of this curtain Tors can lead or requires a higher engine performance designed.

An improved industrial gate describes that U.S. Patent No. 4,601,320 in which friction reducing devices in the form of plastic strips made of ultra-high molecular weight plastic are attached to the thickened side edge portions of a curtain made of rubber or synthetic rubber. These plastic strips extend along the side edge portions of the curtain and are intended to reduce the amount of friction between the side edge portions and the guide channels. On one side of the curtain, the strips are spaced apart in an end-to-end relationship so that they do not interfere with the lifting or lowering of the rubber curtain. Although such strips have worked satisfactorily, these strips are problematic that the plastic material of which they are made is relatively expensive, and that the method of attaching the strips in the desired manner to the torrents is very labor intensive and adds substantially to the cost of the door.

The U.S. Patent No. 5,170,833 describes a roller shutter with a relatively high speed, in which the curtain consists of a relatively thin plastic or fabric layer. The upper end of the thin curtain is mounted on a rotatable hanging roller, which is functionally connected to an electric gate opener. Two vertical guide channels are located on opposite sides of the door opening and serve to guide the flexible curtain along the correct path. Each guide channel is made up of two guide plates, which can be made of steel or aluminum.
The roller shutter itself is provided with a rigid end strip, which extends in the width of the door opening in the guide channels. A safety device with a known structure is arranged along a bottom of the end strip. Each end of the end bar may be provided with a strip of friction reducing material consisting of the aforementioned ultra-high molecular weight plastic. These plastic strips help to reduce the friction between an end plate of the end strip and a flange of a front guide plate of each guide channel.

At a roller door after the DE 697 23 114 T2 are provided relatively cheap, wear-resistant fabric strips which are attached to the side edge portions of the gate forming flexible layer. These strips, which extend in a direction parallel to the side edges of the gate curtain, cover the oblique shoulders formed between the thicker side edge portions of the curtain and the relatively thin main surface of the curtain. These fabric strips reduce the friction between the side edge portions of the curtain and its respective guide channels.
Although rolling doors of this design can be made easier and less expensive than the previously known, flexible roller doors described above. However, even though the thicker side edge portions of the curtain can generally be pulled out of the guide channels under a force of action, often without substantial damage to the curtain, the friction on the side edge sections is still considerable.

In known roller shutters must bring to the pulled-out side edge portions of the door curtain and the end of the end strip of the aforementioned rolling doors with flexible curtain in their desired position, the curtain together with the end bar up, are pulled into a position above the ends of the guides so the side edge sections can be threaded back into the guides. During this movement upwards grind the edge strips of the door curtain or lateral parts of the end strip of the door curtain outside of the goal posts or on the soffits of the wall opening. This additional load is present in the event of hair lifting by the mass of the end bar and also in the case of a curtain lift with tensioning cables.

The object of the invention is to provide with simple means and low structural complexity, a gate column for roller doors, which do not have the aforementioned disadvantages or in which the disadvantages are substantially reduced, also a threading should already in a reversing movement of the door curtain in crash Situations may be possible.

The object is achieved by a gate column for a roller door with the features of claim 1; the subordinate claims disclose embodiments of the gate column according to the invention.

The new gate columns according to the invention, in particular for a fast-running roller shutter, which
a flexible door curtain, a rotatably mounted, drivable winding shaft for receiving and moving the door curtain between a first end position "gate open" and a second end position "gate closed", and two mutually spaced arranged torso columns facing each other a management level for the Define the door curtain and each record and guide a border strip of the door curtain,
have a novel vertical guide slot, which is formed by two guide strips arranged vertically and spaced apart from each other, wherein the leading surfaces of the guide strips of the gate columns facing the door hinge have a plurality of sections in their longitudinal extent and form a free space between adjacent sections. In addition, the mutually facing leading surfaces of the guide strips are arranged in alignment in a vertical plane, which is substantially perpendicular to the guide plane of the door curtain. Several adjacent portions of a leading surface form segments, with at least two adjacent segments of the guide strips being vertically spaced from each other to form a window.

With this new design of a door pillar, in particular its special vertical guide slot, the friction surface in the guide slot, which parts / sections of the door curtain abut in a crash situation or in a situation immediately before the occurrence of a crash, substantially reduced. This is particularly advantageous if, for example, an increased or large wind load acts on the door curtain. When rolling doors of known type according to the prior art, it comes in such a situation, large wind load on the door curtain during its movement, not infrequently to a standstill of the moving door curtain when the conceived Drive power of the roller door for such a situation is not provided.
If the designed drive power is sufficient to move the door curtain even in the case of large wind loads, increased friction and thus increased wear of these edge strips takes place on the edge strips of the door curtain, ie on their guided sections. In addition, there is the increased expenditure of energy, which is a parameter which must be observed, especially in the case of roller shutters with very frequent movement of its curtain.
These disadvantages are substantially reduced or avoided in the gate columns according to the invention.
According to a preferred embodiment, the length of each section of the leading surface is greater than the length of a free space.

According to another preferred embodiment, the length of each free space is greater than the length of a portion of the leading surface.
In addition, according to one embodiment, the sections of the one leading surface are arranged offset in the vertical direction relative to the sections of the opposite leading surface.
A further embodiment provides that the sections of the leading surface are designed as rolling elements, in particular as balls.

The gate columns according to the invention can also be used in roller shutters already in operation. For this purpose, the existing gate columns at a roller door, in particular a high-speed roller door with a flexible curtain door, are exchanged for novel gate columns, since these novel gate columns are already provided in one of their designs for this purpose. Another variant for retrofitting already put into operation shutters with a novel gate column is that the novel vertical guide slot, in particular its two spaced-apart guide strips are made as an assembly, which are arranged in front of the front of an existing gate column, so that the existing torso columns do not need to be completely replaced, but only the door facing the door facing the front of an existing column is changed.

A door column 10 according to the prior art for a roller shutter with flexible curtain is in FIG. 1 shown. The gate column 10 has a front 18, in which a vertically directed guide slot 16 is provided. The vertically directed guide slot 16 is formed by two spaced apart vertically Guide strip 17. The gate column 10 is arranged in a wall opening 2 of a wall 1; the bottom surface is designated 3.

11 angeordnet.
In FIG. 2 is a roller shutter 4 with inventive new gate columns 10, 11 shown in a perspective view. On a floor 3 is a section 1a of a wall 1 with a wall opening 2. On one side of the wall 1 is in the wall opening 2, the roller shutter 4, here in self-supporting design, arranged. Sideways of the soffits of the wall opening 2 are the new gate columns 10 and 11 of the roll-up door 4. Above the wall opening 2, a winding shaft 12 in bearings 14, 15 is arranged rotatably and drivable.
The drive 13 here consists of a motor, a transmission and a control unit. The control unit together with its operating element is arranged at normal working height in one of the door columns 10 and 11, respectively.

A duplicate of the operating unit is then still on the other side of the wall opening. 2
On the winding shaft 12 of the flexible door curtain 5 of the roll-up door 4 is stored. By rotating the winding shaft 12 in accordance with the specification of the control unit, the door curtain 5 is moved between a first end position "door open" and a second end position "door closed". At rest and during movement of the door curtain 5 whose edge strips 6, 7 are each guided in a guide slot 16 of each column column 10, 11.

At the lower transverse side of the door curtain 5, a closing strip 8 is provided, whose sides 8a, 8b terminate in front of the respective front 18 of the gate columns 10, 11, see in addition in Fig. 5 ,

The horizontal distance between the respective front plane FE, see in addition in Fig. 5 , the torso columns 10 and 11 corresponds approximately to the length L of the end strip 8, wherein on both sides of the end strip 8 to the respective front plane FE out a gap is formed, so that when moving the door curtain 5 and thus the end strip 8 no jamming of the end strip 8 between the gate columns 10, 11 takes place. The distance between the gate columns 10, 11 is also chosen so that the inside width LW of the wall opening / door opening 2 can be fully utilized. For the one end position "door open" the door curtain 5 is raised so far and rolled up on the winding shaft until the lower edge of the end strip 8 above the clear height LH of the wall opening / door opening 2.

A first embodiment of the gate columns 10, 11 is in the Figures 3 and 5a shown in side view. The spaced apart and opposite vertical guide strips 17 which form the guide slot 16 and the guide plane BE (see also FIG. 5 ), each have at their facing leading surfaces 17a a plurality and in the vertical direction at a distance from each other Sections 17b. Wherein between each two adjacent sections 17b, a free space 17c is formed.
The portions 17b of the leading surfaces 17a are guide elements which are arranged in series and at a vertical distance from each other in a vertical plane in alignment and substantially perpendicular to the guide plane BE.
A plurality of adjacent portions 17b of a leading surface (17a) form segments with at least two adjacent segments of the guide strips (17) spaced vertically from one another to form a window (25), the advantage of which will be explained in more detail later.

At the in FIG. 3 illustrated embodiment, the length Lu of each interruption 17c is greater in magnitude than the length La of a leading portion 17b.

In the FIG. 4 is a second embodiment of the
Tor columns 10, 11 shown, the view is directed to the front 18. The elements forming the guide slot 16 are here also the leading surfaces 17a with their portions 17b, which are vertically spaced from each other by a clearance 17c.
In a special embodiment, it is provided in this embodiment variant that the opposing sections 17b of the guide surfaces 17a arranged at a distance from each other are arranged in vertical direction Ld are arranged offset to each other with a vertical distance.
This embodiment is particularly advantageous when due to the designed for the corresponding roller door 4 conditions with an increased crash situation must be expected. In such an embodiment, the bead-like thickened edge of an edge strip 6, 7 of the door curtain 5 is less stressed in the event of a crash. In a crash situation, the relevant section of the
Edge strips 6, 7, ie their edge-side bead-like edges 6a, easier to move through the guide slot 16 therethrough. The risk of excessive stress on the relevant section of the edge strips 6, 7 when passing through the leading
Areas 17a, 17b in a crash is again reduced compared to the first embodiment variant.

Another, here third embodiment variant of the gate column 10, 11 is in FIG. 5 shown. The gate columns 10, 11 are also arranged here on a wall 1 near the wall opening 2. Starting from the front 18, lying on both sides of the guide slot 16 sections of the front 18 in training as an inclined surface 18a, 18b recessed in the body, they form a funnel. At the end of these bevels, the guide strips 17, which are spaced apart from one another and form the guide slot 16 opposite one another, are respectively arranged. The leading surfaces 17a and 17b of the first and second embodiment of the torso columns 10, 11 are formed here by rolling elements 24, in particular balls.

Preferably, these balls 24 are corresponding FIG. 5a arranged grouped.
Preferably, the guide strips 17 consist of several segments. An advantage for the reversing of the door curtain 5 in or after a crash situation is also that at least two adjacent segments of the guide strips 17 are vertically spaced from each other, so that the window already mentioned earlier 25 is formed so that in the crash Situation of the guide slots 16 extracted portions of the edge strips 6, 7 already during the reversing of the door curtain 5 before reaching the upper end of the guide slots 16 accordingly FIG. 5a be returned between the guide strips 17. This reduces in the event of a crash, the waiting time to return to normal position, also the edge strips 6, 7 charged less.

The door curtain 5 is guided with its edge strips 6, 7 between the rolling elements 24. In this case, the size / thickness of the bead-like edge 6a is selected so that it acts as an abutment at normal, designed wall load and prevent withdrawal of the edge strips 6, 7 from the guide slot 16. Only when the designed limit load is exceeded, the edge strips 6, 7 are pulled through the guide slot 16 with elastic deformation of the bead-like edges 6a in the relevant section. In addition is provided that the obliquely inwardly directed legs 18a, 18b of the front 18 of the gate column 10, 11 are resilient, so that when a crash situation, the burden, in particular a tensile load on the edge strips 6, 7 of the door curtain 5 significantly lower is.

Another, here fourth embodiment variant of the gate columns 10, 11 is in the FIG. 6 shown. In this embodiment, the leading portions 17b of the leading surfaces 17a of the guide strips 17 as in the aforementioned variant also rolling elements 24, preferably balls, between which the edge strips 6, 7 of the door leaf 5 are guided. At the vertically extending edge of the edge strips 6, 7, a bead-like edge 6a is also formed here in each case. The guide strips 17 forming the guide slot 16 are here arranged on the gate column 10, 11 of an already operating roller shutter. In such a way that the guide strips 17 on both sides of the guide slot 16 of the existing gate columns 10, 11 are mounted so that the two guide slots 16 are aligned so that depending on the width of the door hanger the edge strips 6, 7 move as needed in a widened guide slot 16 can.

In the other, third and fourth embodiments described above, the leading sections 17b are rolling elements 24, preferably balls. This has the particular advantage that the Guide slot 16 can be kept very narrow, because of the very low friction, ie, that the leading portions 17b immediately on both sides of the leading surfaces 17a of the edge strips 6, 7, the door curtain 5 abut, which is particularly advantageous in such roller doors, in which a relatively close completion of a wall opening 2 must be achieved. Such situations are particularly present where a wall opening between two adjoining rooms that have different atmospheres, is closed with a roller door, with an exchange of room atmosphere is to be avoided as possible.

The invention is not limited to the illustrated and described embodiments, but in particular also includes variants which may be formed by combination of features described in connection with the present invention, according to the appended claims.
