Das Schaltergehäuse 10 umfasst Rastmittel 20a, die dazu eingerichtet sind, in korrespondierende Öffnungen 20b in der Leiterplatte 12 zu verrasten, um eine Befestigung des Drehwahlschalters 4 auf der Leiterplatte 12 zu bewirken. In der Blendenöffnung 19 ist eine Lagerhülse 16 eingesetzt, die aus einem Material besteht, hier einem Kunststoffmaterial oder einem Keramikmaterial, um eine geringe Reibung zur in der Hülse 16 gelagerten Schaltwelle 5 bereitzustellen. Der Nockenkörper 6 ist kreisscheibenförmig ausgebildet, wobei die Nocken 6a am Außenumfang der Scheibe angeordnet sind. Am Nockenkörper 6 sind in axialer Verlängerung auf einer Kreisbahn die Lichtvorhänge 15 angebracht, die im Zusammenspiel mit den auf der Leiterplatte 12 angebrachten fotoelektrischen Bauteilen 13, 14, das gewünschte Schaltsignal erzeugen. Auf der Leiterplate 12 ist hierzu eine Lichtquelle 13, hier eine LED, angebracht, die von einer Steuereinrichtung zeitweise aktiviert wird, wobei die etwa gegenüberliegend angebrachten Fototransistoren abhängig von der Position der Lichtvorhänge 15 den Drehwinkel bzw. die Position der Schaltwelle 5 erfassen können. Die u-förmig gebogene Blattfeder 7 liegt mit ihren freien Schenkeln 8a, 8b unter Bereitstellung einer Federkraft am Außenumfang des Nockenkörpers 6 an, wodurch beim Verdrehen des Nockenkörpers 6 aufgrund der umfangsseitig angebrachten Nocken 6a eine rastende Bewegung der Schaltwelle 5 und aller anderen mitdrehenden Teile bereitgestellt wird. Die freien Schenkel 8 sind an ihren freien Enden jeweils nach innen, also zum Nockenkörper 6 hin, ausgeformt, um einen abgerundeten Bereich für das Zusammenwirken mit den Nocken 6a für eine sanfte Verrastung bereitzustellen.
