Description

The invention relates to a bag packaging according to the preamble of claim 1.

For packaging portions of ketchup, mustard and the like in small quantities in liquid, semi-liquid or pasty form packed products, flat bags or sachets in the form of 3- and 4-sealed edge bags or tubular bags are predominantly used. The bags are usually constructed of film laminates and have on the outside a printed, optionally overcoated paper layer or a plastic film, eg. B. of PET, oPP, oPA or cellophane, on. The plastic film can also be printed by reverse printing.

The opening of these, due to small amounts of packaged product, relatively small bag is usually carried out by tearing. For this purpose, serving as a predetermined crack point material weakening, z. B. in the form of laser cutting lines that extend over only a portion of the material thickness of the film laminate may be provided. Another Sollrissstelle is z. B. a commonly arranged in a sealed seam Anreisskerbe. To open the bag is normally fixed in two places between the finger and thumb of each hand, and the opening by tearing is caused by a relative movement of the two hands to each other.

US 3 635 376 A und US 4 328 912 A beschreiben Beutelverpackungen für fliessfähige Füllgüter, bei denen ein Ausgusskanal durch eine nicht versiegelte Stelle gebildet wird, und der Ausgusskanal durch ein elastisch verformbares Verschlussmittel verschlossen und geöffnet werden kann. US 3 635 376 A and US 4,328,912 A describe bag packaging for flowable products in which a spout channel is formed by a non-sealed point, and the spout channel can be closed and opened by an elastically deformable closure means.

EP 0 496 587 A2 describes a pouch packaging with a centrally located spout channel formed by a thin seal embedded in the interior of the pouch forming a small prechamber and breaklines contains, is closed. By means of central folding of the bag and pressurization, the break edges tear and the contents pour into the antechamber of the pouring channel.

US 4,890,744 A describes a pouch packaging with a spout channel in a circumferential sealing surface, wherein the spout channel is closed by a thin-walled seal, which breaks when pressurized the contents.

Another known opening aid consists of a notch introduced in the packaging unit usually on the finished bag into a sealed seam. In another known opening aid, the laminate is weakened locally before bag production by means of laser cuts in the intended opening area. In either case, there is a possibility that an existing barrier layer is damaged or a notch extends into the unsealed area.

Another disadvantage of the known opening aids in the form of Anreisskerben and laser cuts is that even with careful tearing of the bag, the contents still exits during the tearing process and unintentionally stick to the hands.

The invention has for its object to provide a pouch packaging of the type mentioned, which has a one-hand opening system to be used, with which a contamination of the hands with leaking out of the package contents can be avoided with proper operation.

Zur erfindungsgemässen Lösung der Aufgabe führt eine Beutelverpackung mit den Merkmalen von Anspruch 1.For the inventive solution of the problem leads a bag packaging with the features of claim 1.

In a first preferred embodiment of the inventive bag packaging the sealing seam is widened in an area adjacent to the sealing edge to a sealing zone directed away from the sealing edge, and the outlet zone extends up to a marginal edge of the sealing edge.

In a second preferred embodiment of the bag packaging according to the invention, the sealing zone and the outlet zone are arranged at a distance from the sealed seam, and the outer layer has a weakening line or a separating cut as the exit point in the area region of the outlet zone for the contents of the bag packaging.

In a first preferred variant of the pouch packaging according to the invention, the outer layer in the outflow zone adheres to the part of the pouch front wall which lies below the outer layer and has a lower adhesive power than the outflow zone and is peelable therefrom.

In a second preferred variant of the bag packaging according to the invention, the outer layer in the outlet zone is detached from the part of the bag front wall lying below the outer layer.

In a third variant which is preferred for the first preferred embodiment of the pouch packaging according to the invention, the outer layer in the outflow zone is detached from the part of the pouch front wall lying beneath the outer layer except for an area in the sealing edge and adheres to the region in the sealing edge with an adhesion force outside the outflow zone lower adhesive force on the lying under the outer layer part of the bag front wall and is peelable from this.

In the first preferred embodiment of the bag packaging according to the invention, the sealing zone may have the shape of a triangle with a base parallel to the sealing edge and legs forming a tip at a distance from the sealing edge. However, the sealing zone can also have the shape of a strip preferably projecting at right angles from the edge of the seal, with a free end. Expediently, the outlet zone is delimited by two boundary lines extending essentially parallel to one another and perpendicular to the edge of the seal. However, the outlet zone can also be delimited by two borderlines preferably extending in the region of a bag corner against one end of the sealing edge.

In the second preferred embodiment of the pouch packaging according to the invention, the sealing zone preferably also has the shape of a triangle with a lying parallel to the sealing edge base and at a distance from the sealing edge forming a peak legs. Expediently, the outlet zone is delimited by two boundary lines running substantially parallel to one another and perpendicular to the edge of the seal, and two boundary lines extending essentially parallel to one another and parallel to the edge of the seal.

As a bag front wall and bag back wall suitable, against each other sealable packaging films have on the inside of the finished bag packaging forming the inside a sealing layer. The sealing layer can be connected as a sealing film via a laminating adhesive with a carrier layer. However, the sealing layer can also be applied directly to a carrier layer by extrusion coating. Under certain conditions, it is also possible to produce a sealing layer and a carrier layer by coextrusion.

The outer layer arranged on the side of the bag front wall which forms the outer side in the finished bag packaging is separated in a separable manner from a carrier layer located below the outer layer in the regions outside the outlet zone for the filling material by means of an adhesive layer.

In the areas within the outlet zone for the filling material, the outer layer is peelably connected to the carrier layer or detached from it. Optionally, the outer layer can be peelably sealed within the outlet zone only in the region of the sealing edge against the carrier layer and be detached from the carrier layer outside the sealing edge.

The sealing layer and the carrier layer can form a single, common layer. The sealing layer, the carrier layer and the outer layer can also consist of a single layer or be constructed in multiple layers.

Die Dicke der Siegelschichten liegt im Bereich von 10 bis 100 µm, vorzugsweise 15 bis 75 µm.The sealant layers are usually polyethylenes, eg LDPE, LLDPE, MDPE and mixtures thereof or co-extruded, metallocenes polyethylenes and ionomers, eg Surlyn®, or coextruded films of these materials with PE as support layer. Polypropylene can also be used for special applications. The thickness of the sealing layers is in the range of 10 to 100 microns, preferably 15 to 75 microns.

These serve as a barrier layer against the passage of oxygen, water vapor and flavors. The thickness of the aluminum foil used as a barrier for bags is about 5 to 30 μm, preferably 7 to 15 μm.

Suitable outer layers are biaxially oriented plastic films of polyester, polypropylene or polyamide. A preferred polyester is PET (polyethylene terephthalate) in a preferred thickness of 8 to 20 microns, especially 12 microns. The plastic film used as outer layer can be printed frontally and optionally provided with a lubricious topcoat or be counter-printed. Instead of a plastic film, a plastic-coated paper layer can also be used as the outer layer.

Instead of a barrier layer of aluminum foil, other barrier layers can be used, for. As ceramic thin films of silicon oxides and / or alumina, which are applied by sputtering or by deposition from the vacuum, or plastic films, for. B. from materials of the series of vinyl alcohols, eg. As the ethyl-vinyl-alcohol polymers or polyvinylidene chloride.

The bag front wall and the bag back wall may have the same or a different layer structure. Usually, the bag front wall and the bag back wall are made of the same packaging film.

The bag packages according to the invention are in particular 3- and 4-sealed edge bags as well as tubular bags with a longitudinal seam and two transverse seams. The scope includes u. a. also a package in which the bag back wall as a flexible, z. B. manufactured by thermoforming or cold forming container is configured with a circumferential sealing surface and the bag front wall is sealed as a lid against the sealing surface.

One in the Fig. 1 and 2 Bag package 10 shown as an example in the form of a flat bag, in particular a so-called 4-edge bag with four arranged in a rectangle seal edges 16, 18, 20, 22 consists essentially of two opposite, a bag front and a bag back forming packaging films. The packaging film forming the front of the bag, referred to herein as the bag front wall 12, and the packaging film forming the back of the bag, referred to herein as the bag rear wall 14, are substantially strip-shaped over the bag package 10 along the seal edges 16, 18, 20, 22 Sealed seam 24 connected to each other and include a Füllgutraum 13 a. The pouch packaging 10 normally contains a flowable, in particular a liquid, semi-liquid or pasty filling material 11. Pouch packaging 10 comprises, for example, the known, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise and the like food products containing sachets as filling material 11.

In a region provided for the bag opening, adjacent to the sealing edge 16 region, the strip-shaped sealing seam 24 to a sealing zone 26 in the shape of an isosceles triangle with a parallel to the sealing edge 16 base c and two at a distance e to the sealing edge 16 a tip 27 forming legs a , b extended.

The bag front wall 12 can be sealed on the side directed toward the inside of the bag package 10 against the side of the bag rear wall 14 which is likewise directed against the inside of the bag package 10. The side of the bag front wall 12 directed towards the outside has an outer layer 28. In a the tip 27 of the sealing zone 26 including the outlet zone 30 for the product 11 adheres the outer layer 28 with respect to the adhesive force outside the outlet zone 30 lower adhesive force on the underlying portion 29 of the bag front wall 12 or is in the outlet zone 30 from the underlying portion 29 of the bag front wall 12 detached.

In the embodiment shown, the outlet zone 30 is delimited by a border line 32 extending parallel to the sealing edge 16 and two border lines 34, 36 running parallel to each other and perpendicular to the sealing edge 16, which guide the transition of the outer layer 28 from the parting 29 underneath the bag front wall 12 to form a peelable or non-adhesive connection in the outlet zone 30. The boundary line 32 running parallel to the sealing edge 16 is, as seen in plan view of the bag, spaced from the tip 27 of the sealing zone 26 by a distance f.

If the filled with filling material 11 bag packaging 10 is pressurized from the outside, what in practical use z. B. by compressing the bag 10 between the thumb and index finger of a hand, so there is a wrinkling on the bag 10 such that the tension, which acts on the sealed against each other bag walls at the transition from Füllgutraum 13 to the seal compound at the top 27 of Sealing zone 26 reaches a maximum. When the breaking elongation of the part 29 of the bag front wall 12 weakened by the reduced or missing adhesion of the outer layer 28 in the outlet zone 30 is exceeded, a breakage or local severing of this part 29 of the bag front wall 12 takes place to form an opening slit 38 (FIG. Fig. 3 ).

After local severing of lying under the outer layer 28 portion 29 of the bag front wall 12 in the region of the top 27 of the sealing zone 26 occurs with continued pressurization of the bag 10 filling material 11 from the Füllgutraum 13 through the opening slot 38 in a lying below the outer layer 28 part 29 of the bag front wall 12 and the outer layer 28 formed in the outlet zone 30 gap or channel 40 and leaves the bag package 10 through an outlet opening 42 at a peripheral edge 17 of the sealing edge 16 of the lying under the outer layer 28 portion 29 of the bag front wall 12 and the Outer layer 28 is formed.

The opening mechanism in the Fig. 1 to 3 shown pouch 10 is in the 4 and 5 further illustrated. Fig. 5 shows that when applying a pressure on the held between index finger 46 and thumb 48 of a hand 44 bag 10 filling 11 by the at the peripheral edge 17 of the sealing edge 16 from lying under the outer layer 28 portion 29 of the bag front wall 12 and the outer layer 28 formed outlet opening 42 exit. Next is out Fig. 5 recognizable that the opening of the bag packaging and removal of the filling material 11 is carried out by one-handed operation. Here are the squeezing the pouch causing index fingers and thumb from the outlet opening for the filling spaced such that contamination with contents, as can not be reliably avoided in conventional bags with Aufreisssystem even with proper opening, is prevented.

At an in Fig. 6 illustrated variant of the in Fig. 1 to 5 As shown in the bag package shown formed by the outlet zone 30 and two boundary lines 34 ', 36' limited channel 40 along one side of the triangular sealing zone 26 to the sealing edge 16, so that the outlet opening 42 results at the peripheral edge 17 of the sealing edge 16 in a bag corner.

At an in Fig. 7 shown further variant of a bag 10 according to packaging Fig. 1 instead of a triangular sealing zone 26 extending from the sealing edge 16 and extending the strip-shaped sealing seam 24, a sealing zone 26 'projecting at right angles from the sealing edge 16 or from the strip-shaped sealing seam 24 is provided in the form of a strip with a free end 27' instead of the triangular tip 27.

The free end 27 'of the strip-shaped sealing zone 26' is here corresponding to that in the Fig. 1 to 5 shown embodiment with the triangular sealing zone 26 of the outlet zone 30 for the filling material 11 enclosed. Again, the outlet zone 30 is limited by a parallel to the sealing edge 16 and two parallel to each other and perpendicular to the sealing edge 16 extending boundary lines 32, 34, 36th

At the in Fig. 8 illustrated variant of Fig. 7 In the embodiment shown, the channel 40 formed by the outlet zone 30 and delimited by two boundary lines 34 ', 36' extends along one side of the strip-shaped sealing zone 26 'to the peripheral edge 17 of the sealed seam 16.

Als Verpackungsfolie zur Herstellung von 4-Siegelrandbeuteln diente ein Laminat mit dem AufbauTo bag packages with a protruding from a sealing edge, the production of an opening slot in the packaging film serving strip-shaped Sealing zone 26 'were carried out bursting tests and the bursting pressure as a function of the distance X of the strip-shaped sealing zone 26' of a bag side wall and the distance Y of the free end 27 'of the strip-shaped sealing zone 26' determined by the sealing edge 16. With the bursting tests, the optimum dimensions and arrangements of the strip-shaped sealing zones 26 'corresponding to the lowest possible bursting pressure can be determined in a simple manner.

In the FIGS. 11 and 12 the construction of two packaging films suitable for the production of the bag packaging 10 is shown.

At the in Fig. 11 1, a sealing layer 50 is applied by extrusion coating to the side of a carrier layer 52, which later faces against the inside of a bag packaging produced from the packaging film, or is connected to the carrier layer 52 via an adhesive layer. The side of the carrier layer 52 directed against the outside of the pouch packaging produced from the packaging film is connected in a separable manner to the outer layer 28 via a first joining material 54. In the region provided for the outlet zone 30 for the filling material 11, the outer layer 28 with the support layer 52 lying below the outer layer 28 is, in some cases, not peelably connected via a connection-free zone 58 or via a second connecting material 56. The first bonding material 54 for producing the release-resistant compound is, for example, an adhesive based on polyurethane (PU). The second bonding material 56 for producing the peelable compound is, for example, a hotmelt or a hot-seal lacquer. The sealing layer 50 consists for example of a polyethylene (PE), the support layer 52 of an aluminum foil and the outer layer of polyethylene terephthalate (PET).

In the Fig. 12 shown packaging film corresponds in its structure in Fig. 11 illustrated packaging film, in which case the sealing layer 50 at the same time includes the carrier layer and, for example, consists of a polyethylene.

For the bag front wall 12 and the bag rear wall 14, the same packaging film can be used. The application of the second bonding material 56 used to produce the peelable regions can be carried out in a printing process, for. B. as register printing.

At an in Fig. 13 shown further variant of the in the Fig. 1 to 5 shown pouch packaging is at a distance from the strip-shaped sealing seam 24 a sealing zone 26 "in the shape of an isosceles triangle with a lying parallel to the sealing edge 16 base c and two from the sealing edge 16 facing away tip 27" forming legs a, b approximately in the middle of Bag front wall 12 arranged. The surface area of the outlet zone 30 for the filling material 11 encloses the entire sealing zone 26 "and likewise has a spacing around the sealing edge 16 and the sealed seam 24. The outer layer 28 is provided with a weakening line or through the surface region of the outlet zone 30 for the filling material 11 the outer layer continuous separating cut 37 is provided as a slot-shaped opening for the discharge of the filling material 11 from the bag packaging 10. In the example shown, the separating cut 37 runs parallel to the sealing seam 16 and is arranged between the sealing edge 16 and the sealing zone 26 ".

In the in Fig. 13 In the embodiment shown, the outlet zone 30 is delimited by two boundary lines 32, 33 extending parallel to the sealing edge 16 and two boundary lines 34, 36 running parallel to each other and perpendicular to the sealing edge 16, which guide the transition of the outer layer 28 from the parting connection 29 to the underlying part 29 Bag front wall 12 for peelable or non-adhesive connection in the outlet zone 30 form.

In the Fig. 13 shown, intended for a Füllgutaustritt from the bag front wall 12 pouch packaging 10 is applied by folding the bag and pressing together the superposed by the folding bag halves from the outside with pressure, which in practical use - as in Fig. 14 shown - eg. B. performed between thumb 48 and index finger 46 of a hand becomes. As already stated in the Fig. 1 to 5 illustrated pouch packaging, also the wrinkling takes place here on the pouch 10 such that the tensile stress which acts on the sealed against each other bag walls at the transition from Füllgutraum 13 for sealing compound, at the top 27 "of the sealing zone 26 reaches a maximum. When the elongation at break of the weakened or missing adhesion of the outer layer 28 in the outlet zone 30 weakened, lying under the outer layer 28 portion 29 of the bag front wall 12 is a break or a local severing of this part 29 of the bag front wall 12 to form an opening slot 38th

After local severing of lying under the outer layer 28 portion 29 of the bag front wall 12 in the region of the tip 27 "of the sealing zone 26" occurs with continued pressurization of the bag 10 filling material 11 from the Füllgutraum 13 through the opening slot 38 in the of the under the outer layer 28th lying portion 29 of the bag front wall 12 and the outer layer 28 formed in the outlet zone 30 gap or channel 40 and leaves the bag 10 by the formed in the outer layer 28 through the weakening line or the separating cut 37, slot-shaped opening.

The term bag packaging 10 also includes a packaging in which the bag rear wall 14 as a flexible, z. B. made by thermoforming or cold forming container with a circumferential sealing surface and the bag front wall 12 is sealed as a lid against the sealing surface.
