Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for optimizing energy consumption of a hybrid vehicle and plug-in.
- the invention also relates to a hybrid vehicle and plug-in implementing such a method.
- the invention aims in particular to propose a strategy for using the electric energy of a hybrid vehicle and plug-in to optimize the use of energy consumption of the vehicle.
- the invention applies to any motor vehicle of hybrid type and plug-in, using several different sources of energy to move.
- Hybrid vehicle and plug-in means a hybrid vehicle whose storage of electrical energy is rechargeable by the sector. Subsequently, the term “hybrid” instead of “hybrid and plug-in” will be used to simplify the description.
- a hybrid vehicle comprises two separate energy reservoirs. Indeed, it comprises a first reversible energy reservoir, and a second non-reversible energy reservoir.
- the first reversible energy reservoir is an electrochemical storage source that stores electrical energy. This electrochemical storage source supplies electrical energy to a reversible electric motor that converts this electrical energy into mechanical energy.
- the storage source may be a Lithium-ion (Li-ion), nickel-metal hydride (NiMH), nickel-zinc (Ni-Zn) type battery, etc. It may also take the form of a supercapacitor. Subsequently, the term "storer" will be used to simplify the description.
- the second energy reservoir is a fuel tank.
- This fuel tank is used to power an internal combustion engine.
- the internal combustion engine converts the thermal energy from the combustion of the fuel into mechanical energy.
- the first and second energy reservoirs therefore constitute a source of energy transformed into mechanical energy to ensure traction of the vehicle.
- the power link between one of the tanks is reversible, and it is then possible to use the electrical energy contained in the storer to accelerate the vehicle, or to use the kinetic energy of the vehicle during a deceleration, to fill the storer.
- the price of fuel is growing year after year, mainly because of the scarcity of global hydrocarbon resources.
- a notable consequence of fuel price growth is the fact that fuel efficiency has come into play when it comes to choosing a new vehicle.
- the vehicles with the lowest fuel consumption rating in Liter / 100 km and the lowest annual fuel consumption estimate are those that will allow the purchaser of a new vehicle to save as much fuel as possible, year after year. .
- the invention solves this problem by proposing a method of optimizing the energy consumption of a hybrid vehicle in use, favoring the use of the electric motor to that of the engine to ensure traction of the vehicle.
- the invention provides that at the end of the path traveled by the vehicle, between a starting point and an arrival point, all the electrical energy available in the storage has been consumed.
- the vehicle is equipped with an activated on-board navigation system, enabling it to carry out a geolocation of the vehicle, it determines a distance remaining to be traveled by the vehicle before the next reload of the storer on the 110-220V network.
- This determination is possible by determining the distance of the path to be traveled, determining the type of taxiing during the journey, determining the state of charge of the electric energy store and the level of fuel in its tank.
- the invention further provides that when the vehicle is equipped with a non-activated on-board navigation system, a distance remaining to be traveled by the vehicle is determined before the next recharging of the storage unit on the 110-220V network.
- the determination of this distance is done on the one hand, by determining the type of driving of the vehicle during its journey (difficult traffic, smooth traffic, driving on the road, on the motorway), by analyzing the average speed and the number of stops. of the vehicle and, secondly, according to data from a statistical study and previously stored, during the design, in a computer system of the vehicle. This statistical data may for example be the average speed of the vehicle and the percentage of average downtime on a type of trip usually followed.
- the invention allows that at the end of a distance traveled by the vehicle between two successive recharges on the sector, all the electrical energy available in the storage has been consumed in order to exhaust the least fuel possible to ensure the traction of the vehicle.
- the subject of the invention is therefore a method of optimizing a power consumption of a hybrid and plug-in vehicle comprising two traction modes, respectively electric and thermal, in which, it is determined, a distance traveled between two successive recharges of the vehicle on the sector,
- an electrical energy available at a time "t" is determined in an electrical energy store
- a parameter "mu" is determined as a function of the distance traveled between two successive recharges of the vehicle on the sector and of the electric energy available in the storeroom.
- the invention includes any of the following features:
- a navigation system when a navigation system is activated, to determine the distance traveled between two successive recharges of the vehicle on the sector, it determines a distance of a path to be traveled by the vehicle according to a starting point and a point d arrival, and one determines a type of driving of the vehicle during the journey;
- a navigation system when a navigation system is not activated, to determine the distance traveled between two successive recharges of the vehicle on the sector, it is determined from statistical data, the type of driving in based on an average vehicle speed, and a percentage of average downtime is determined on a type of trip usually followed;
- the electric motor when the parameter "mu" is below a determined value, the electric motor is used for the traction of the vehicle; when the parameter "mu" is above a determined value, the combination of the engine and the electric motor is used for the traction of the vehicle;
- the invention also relates to a hybrid vehicle and plug-in implementing a method as defined above.
- FIG. 1 a schematic representation of the vehicle according to the invention
- - Figure 3 a curve representing the stopping distance of the vehicle according to the invention before recharging the storer of electrical energy, depending on the average speed of said vehicle;
- - Figure 4 a curve representing the cost of the energy consumption of the vehicle according to the invention, as a function of the stopping distance of the vehicle before charging the storer of electrical energy;
- Figure 1 is a schematic representation showing a hybrid power train equipping many vehicles of modern design.
- a vehicle 1 is equipped with a storer 2 of electrical energy. This storer 2 supplies electrical energy to an electric motor 3, in order to compensate or replace a heat engine 4, to ensure the traction of the vehicle 1 via a transmission T.
- the vehicle 1 comprises a computer system 5.
- This computer system 5 can be a computer. It can also be formed by several calculators.
- This computer system 5 controls, on the one hand, a control unit 6 of the electric motor 3, and on the other hand, a control unit 7 of the heat engine 4.
- the control unit 6 controls the electric motor 3 via a inverter 8 powered by the storer 2.
- the vehicle 1 further comprises a navigation system 9 associated with a display device such as a screen 10.
- the navigation system 9 is equipped with a geolocation device 11 such as a GPS.
- the computer system 5 manages and measures the state of charge of the storer 2.
- the vehicle 1 being a hybrid, it has means for recharging the storer 2.
- a first recharging means comprises a 12 configuration adapted plug, allowing to connect directly the storer 2 at a fast charging station 13, present in some parking places.
- a second possible charging means comprises an on-board charger 14 provided with a plug 15, making it possible to connect the storer 2 to a 110-220V domestic electrical network 16 or sector. In both cases, the loading order of the storer 2 is generated by the computer system 5 and transmitted to the socket 13, or to the on-board charger 14.
- the vehicle 1 also comprises an energy reservoir (not shown) for supplying the heat engine 4 with fuel.
- the current operation of the vehicle 1 generates a significant energy consumption which is characterized by an increase in energy costs.
- the invention proposes to optimize the energy consumption of the vehicle 1, by consuming all the electrical energy available in the storer 2, so that at the end of a journey of the vehicle 1, the storer 2 is totally empty.
- the vehicle 1 has two phases of operation, including a first phase where the storage 2 empties to consume the electrical energy and a second phase corresponding to a "full hybrid" conventional where the energy balance of the storer
- FIG. 2 illustrates these two phases of operation of the vehicle 1.
- the method according to the invention comprises two steps.
- a first step when the on-board navigation system
- the navigation system 9 is activated, the type of running of the vehicle 1 is determined, that is, if Vehicle 1 drives in town, on a road or highway.
- the navigation system 9 uses the geolocation device 11, to determine the geographical position of the vehicle 1, the departure and arrival points, the theoretical distance remaining to be traveled by the vehicle 1, the time estimated remaining, depending on whether or not traffic delays From all these data acquired via the geolocation device 11, the navigation system 9 determines whether the vehicle 1 is traveling on a road, in a city or on a highway. The navigation system 9 thus determines the distance that the vehicle 1 must travel before a refill of the storer 2 is performed.
- a second step when the on-board navigation system 9 is not activated, the location-based device 11 is therefore not available, the type of rolling of the vehicle 1 is then determined (slow city, fluid city, road, highway ) using data from statistical studies, illustrated by the curve in Figure 4.
- This statistical study is based on the average speed and the percentage of average downtime on a typical trip type followed by the vehicle 1. Therefore, depending on the behavior of the driver on the road relative to the average speed of the vehicle 1, it is therefore possible to determine the distance remaining to travel before reloading the storer 2 on the sector. From these statistics, we are able to know for example that 50% of the traffic on national roads have a distance greater than 50km. Therefore, the distance remaining to be traveled before reloading the storer 2 on the sector is then 50km.
- the gain in consumption vehicle energy 1 can conversely translate into the estimated cost for energy consumption, for a distance traveled by the vehicle of 100km.
- This consumption gain is obtained according to the stopping distance remaining to be traveled before reloading the storer 2, the electrical energy available in the storer 2, as well as a parameter "Mu" which will be defined later.
- the energy consumption gain curve is defined for each type of driving. From this curve, as a function of the distance between two predetermined storage refills 2, and the desired maximum consumption gain, the optimal mu parameter is thus deduced.
- the mu parameter is an image of the energy optimization strategy of the vehicle 1. In other words, when mu is weak, energy is quickly spent, and when mu is high, there is time to recharge the electrical energy store. . There is necessarily on this curve a value of the mu parameter for which we obtain a balance of the storer 2 zero, that is to say that we spend exactly what we have in the storer 2.
- the mu parameter will then vary according to the stopping distance between two refills De2r, the electrical energy available in the storer 2 and the type of rolling. In the example of FIG. 5, as long as the distance De2r to be traveled is less than 10Km, it is necessary to opt for a parameter mu equal to 10 (mu10). For a distance between 10 and 25Km, you have to choose a parameter mu equal to 50 (mu50).
- the computer system 5 comprises a program memory 20 and a data memory 21 connected to a microprocessor 22 via a communication bus 23.
- the computer system 5 is connected to the various components of the vehicle 1 above described, via another communication bus 24.
- the computer system 5 comprises an input / output interface 25, for connecting the buses 23 and 24.
- the actions managed by the computer system 5, are ordered by the microprocessor 22.
- the microprocessor 22 generates, in response to the instruction codes stored in the program memory 20, commands for the various components of the vehicle 1.
- the program memory 20 comprises several program areas corresponding respectively to a series of operations.
- a first operation corresponds to a determination of the distance that can be traveled with the vehicle 1, according to the electric traction, and the speed or speed of the vehicle 1.
- a second operation corresponds to a determination of the state of charge of the storer 2 of the vehicle 1.
- FIG. 5 is an example of a functional diagram of the method according to the invention.
- a general program comprising all the sub-programs 30 to 44, organizes the succession of as many steps as sub-programs, according to the following mode.
- This diagram shows the preliminary step in which the mode of operation of the vehicle 1 is determined. In other words, whether the vehicle is stationary or in rolling mode. When the vehicle 1 is in rolling mode, then step 31 is performed, otherwise, step 30 is repeated.
- step 31 it is determined whether the navigation system 9 embedded in the vehicle 1 is activated. When the navigation system 9 of the vehicle 1 is activated, then the step 32 is carried out, otherwise, the step 33 is carried out.
- step 32 the theoretical distance of the paths to be made by the vehicle 1 is determined according to the data acquired via the geolocation device 11. These data can be the starting and finishing points of the path of the vehicle 1, as well as the road traffic that the vehicle 1 may encounter. When the theoretical distance of the path is determined, then step 34 is carried out.
- step 34 the type of haulage that the vehicle 1 will have to take during the journeys is determined, that is, whether the vehicle will pass through the city, the road, or the highway.
- step 35 is carried out.
- step 35 the electrical energy available in the storage unit 2 is determined.
- step 36 is carried out.
- step 36 the remaining distance to be traveled is determined before reloading the storer 2. When this distance is determined, then step 38 is carried out.
- step 33 the type of driving of the vehicle is determined according to the average speed of the vehicle.
- step 37 is carried out.
- step 37 the remaining distance to be traveled is determined before reloading the storer 2, according to the average speed of the vehicle.
- step 38 is performed.

Description
- lorsqu'un système de navigation est activé, pour déterminer la distance parcourue entre deux recharges successives du véhicule sur le secteur, on détermine une distance d'un trajet à parcourir par le véhicule en fonction d'un point de départ et un point d'arrivée, et on détermine un type de roulage du véhicule durant le trajet ;
fonction d'une vitesse moyenne du véhicule, et on détermine un pourcentage de temps d'arrêt moyen sur un type de trajet habituellement suivi ;
- lorsque le paramètre « mu » est en dessous d'une valeur déterminée, on utilise le moteur électrique pour la traction du véhicule ; - lorsque le paramètre « mu » est au dessus d'une valeur déterminée, on utilise la combinaison du moteur thermique et du moteur électrique pour la traction du véhicule ;
- on affiche sur un écran un indicateur représentatif de l'optimisation de la consommation de l'énergie électrique du véhicule ; - lorsque l'état de charge du stockeur est nul avant la fin du trajet du véhicule, alors on utilise le moteur thermique pour assurer la traction du véhicule pour le reste du trajet, et on affiche sur un écran, un indicateur indiquant une distance parcourue avec l'énergie électrique ;
- Figure 1 : une représentation schématique du véhicule selon l'invention ;
- Figure 2 : une courbe représentant l'évolution de l'état de charge du stockeur d'énergie électrique, en fonction de la distance parcourue par le véhicule selon l'invention ;
- Figure 3 : une courbe représentant la distance d'arrêt du véhicule selon l'invention avant une recharge du stockeur d'énergie électrique, en fonction de la vitesse moyenne dudit véhicule ; - Figure 4 : une courbe représentant le coût de la consommation énergétique du véhicule selon l'invention, en fonction de la distance d'arrêt du véhicule avant une recharge du stockeur d'énergie électrique ;
- Figure 5 : un diagramme fonctionnel du procédé selon l'invention ;
