Claims (7)
- Device for pouring cast iron into a mould having a multi-piece metal mould (1) which surrounds a sand mould (3), in the hollow space (4) of which the molten cast iron is poured, characterised in that at least one space (2) through which coolant flows is formed between the surface of the inner wall of the mould (1) and the outer wall of the sand mould (3).
- Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the space through which coolant flows is constructed in the form of at least one channel (2) which extends between the coolant inlet (5) and outlet (8).
- Device according to claim 2, characterised in that the channel (2) is in each case approximately half-formed by a groove-like recess of the inner wall of the mould (1) and an opposing groove-like recess in the outer wall of the sand mould (3).
- Device according to one or more of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that, when faces are curved without bends, the channel (2) extends in a helical-line-like manner between the coolant inlet (5) and outlet (8).
