Definitions
- the invention initially relates to a foam sealing strip arranged in a structural sealing joint, for example between a window frame and an associated reveal of a window opening in a building, which has two height regions connected by a low region with respect to a fully restored state over its width Foam sealing tape is soaked for delayed recovery.
- foam sealing tape is for example from the WO 2009/138311 A1 known.
- the disclosure of these cited documents is hereby incorporated in full in the disclosure of this application, including for the purpose of features of the cited documents in claims of the present application with (incorporation by reference).
- the known foam sealing tapes are used in a compressed state in a joint. According to the impregnation for delayed recovery, these foam-sealing tapes then return over a certain period of time, such that they regardless of their design in the fully recovered state profiling having the said profile over the entire surface on the opposite side, so for example, the soffit of the window opening abut.
- the sealing tapes are preferably produced from an integral foam strip and, opposite to their contact surface on the reveal, more preferably have a self-adhesive layer, which may initially be covered, as supplied, with a cover layer.
- the insert preferably consists at least partially of a material other than foam, in particular of a foam other than the mentioned open-cell, for the delayed return.
- a material other than foam in particular of a foam other than the mentioned open-cell, for the delayed return.
- it can also consist of such an open-cell, soaked for delayed recovery foam, in which case, preferably in particular in the impregnate, function-improving additives are included.
- a function-improving additional material can be included as a whole in such a foam, for example, held by a form-fitting manner by clamping.
- a further subject matter relates to the foam sealing tape as such, which has two height ranges connected by a low area in relation to a fully restored state over its width, wherein also in this case the foam sealing tape is impregnated for delayed recovery and arranged in the low region an insert is.
- Another solution results from a foam sealing tape according to claim 2 and the other dependent claims.
- the insert is made of a swellable material.
- reference is made in full to the materials described below.
- the statements relating to the foam sealing tape according to the invention in each case explicitly also refer to a arranged in a building sealing gap foam sealing tape, based on a fully recovered state across its width has two height ranges connected by a low region, wherein the foam sealing tape is soaked to the delayed recovery, and wherein in the low area located in contact with the soffit insert is arranged.
- the insert is swelling and / or formed of a material with respect to the foam material of lower thermal conductivity.
- the foam-sealing tape can be adapted to different requirements by the insert, regardless of the foam, for example, in terms of waterproofness, fire resistance, thermal insulation properties, without interference with the foam material, such as. in an impregnation of the foam material with a particle-containing impregnate would be the case.
- the property profile of the sealing tape as a whole and e.g. with a change in volume of the insert in a changing environment such as moisture or in the event of fire also the properties such. also the air permeability of the foam material can be changed.
- the foam is, for example, a polyurethane foam.
- the open cell nature can be characterized by an air permeability.
- the air permeability can be, for example, in the range of 20 to 1000 l / m 2 sec, measured according to DIN EN 9237 on a 10 mm thick sample at 0.5 mbar vacuum, sample surface 100 cm 2 , for example in the range of 20 to 500 l / m 2 sec or 20 to 250 l / m 2 sec, for certain applications preferably 20 to 150 l / m 2 sec or 50-200 l / m 2 sec at the desired low air permeability.
- the measurement can be carried out with a Frank device, for example the Frank device type 21443.
- the foam may have a density of, for example, 25 to 100 kg / m 3 .
- the insert consists of a source material.
- this may be a moisture swelling material.
- it may also be a heat-swelling material, as it is known in particular as an intumescent material, optionally also a combination of the two materials.
- a swelling material for example, the seal in the building can be improved.
- the passage of water can be delayed and / or the air permeability of the foam sealing tape by the swelling, which then - in the installed state - a higher compression in the joint is reduced.
- a kind of dynamic sealing can also be established so that, depending on the moisture content of the environment, a higher or lower sealing force acts on the soffit or the inserted part, such as the window frame.
- the moisture-swelling material is thus preferably reversibly swellable, so in dry air, it releases previously swollen water, e.g. at 25 ° C and 5% relative humidity.
- the intumescent compound can provide a seal against air leakage and a fire resistance in case of fire.
- the swellable (moisture-swellable) mineral is particularly preferably a clay mineral, in particular bentonite. Such is easily introduced into the insert and particularly environmentally friendly and harmless even in case of fire, since unlike organic materials no fire gases are released.
- the moisture swellable material may also be an organic material, especially polymeric material.
- superabsorbent superabsorbent polymers, SAP
- SAP superabsorbent polymers
- superabsorbents contain or consist mostly of copolymers with ionic monomers, for example copolymers of acrylic acid and ionic acrylates, such as sodium or ammonium acrylate.
- Crosslinking agents eg core crosslinkers, CXL which crosslink the polymer chains and render them water insoluble
- anionic yellow amides such as polyacrylate compounds
- nonionic gelling agents such as eg swelling-capable cellulose derivatives are used, such as cellulose ethers, cellulose esters (cellulose acetobutyrate) or the like, or also swelling starch (in particular thermally treated, largely digested starch), polyvinyl alcohols or the like
- swelling starch in particular thermally treated, largely digested starch
- polyvinyl alcohols polyvinyl alcohols or the like
- intumescent material is, for example, expandable graphite or a material based on polyacetates and / or polyphosphates such as urea derivative ammonium polyphosphate polyacetate in question (see, for example DE 37 35 779 AI ).
- the intumescent material may be as such / for example as a strip, form the insert / or incorporated or impregnated into the carrier material.
- the bentonite or, more generally, the clay mineral or moisture-swellable material may in both cases (ie with respect to the sealing strip or the sealing tape arranged in the joint according to claim 1) be provided as a substance as such.
- the bentonite or, more generally, the clay mineral or moisture swellable material may also be incorporated in a carrier material such as a nonwoven or woven fabric.
- the clay mineral such as bentonite or the moisture-swelling material generally is usually present in the initial state powdery or particulate. As such, it may be shaken into the web or other backing material such as a fabric.
- the moisture swelling material especially bentonite, and the heat swelling material may also be combined in the insert.
- the insert may also comprise a material which has a lower thermal conductivity than the foam material, the insert as a whole may have a lower thermal conductivity than the foam material, for example at 20 ° C and 20% re. Humidity.
- the insert may for example contain perlite (an altered volcanic glass, rock).
- the perlite may contain up to 2-3% by weight of water, preferably ⁇ 0.5-1% by weight or ⁇ 0.1-0.25% by weight.
- the pearlite usually has a density of 900 to 1000 kg / m 3 (bulk density of the crude perlite). By annealing to about 800 ° C to 1000 ° C, perlite inflates to fifteen to twenty times its original volume.
- the swellable material (moisture and / or heat swellable material) can be impregnated into a further carrier material, as here in particular a nonwoven or fabric, in which case this impregnated carrier material forms the insert. This may apply regardless of or in combination herewith also for the heat-insulating material.
- the material may be fixed by an adhesive in the substrate such as the non-woven or fabric.
- the source material and / or the heat-insulating material may be 5-95 wt.% Or 10-90 wt.% Or 30-95 wt.% Or 50-95 wt.% Or up to 98 wt.% Of the insert make up or the insert may consist of 100 wt .-% of the respective material, which may be present, for example, in compressed or with a small amount of adhesive bonded form.
- the source material and / or the heat-insulating material may preferably be present in particles having a particle size in the range of 5-1000 microns, without being limited thereto, for example in the range of 10-750 microns or 20-500 microns.
- the volume expansion of the moisture-swelling material when swelling can be at excess water (maximum water absorption) at 20 ° C of ⁇ 10-20% or ⁇ 30-50% or ⁇ 70-85% or up to a factor of 5-10 or up to a factor of 25-50 or up to factor 100-250 (eg in the case of superabsorbents).
- the volume expansion may therefore be in the range of 10% to 250 or 10% to 100 or 10% factor 25 or 50 factor (each volume .-%).
- the insert can also be independent of a possible property as a source material in the form of a flexible but harder material than the foam.
- a source material in the form of a flexible but harder material than the foam.
- this is preferably displayed to form such a design. This can be a Vermindung the cross section, for example, to reduce the air permeability or generally to increase the tightness can be achieved.
- the insert may be provided freely in the foam-sealing tape.
- the insert if it is designed as a separate part, ie as a molded part, be self-adhesive and glued by means of self-adhesive with the foam of the foam sealing tape.
- the insert preferably extends uniformly over the entire length of the sealing strip.
- the insert may be at least partially or wholly of mineral fibers, including glass fibers and / or mineral fibers, including rockwool fibers.
- the fibers can in this case be crosslinked to form a fiber composite, for example in the form of a nonwoven or woven fabric, which can form a coherent band.
- the insert can thus be formed overall as a joint cord.
- the mineral fibers may comprise a shell of another material, e.g. made of glass fibers.
- the sheath in particular with glass fibers, can be formed by braiding the core of the insert.
- the soul may contain mineral fibers or consist of mineral fibers.
- sheath and / or core may also contain other fiber materials, e.g. contain organic polymeric fibers.
- the insert in particular in the form of a joint cord, can have a bulk density of ⁇ 200 kg / m 3, preferably ⁇ 250 kg / m 3, for example up to 500 kg / m 3 or up to 1000 kg / m 3 or up to 1,500 kg / m 3.
- the respective insert can be glued to the foam-sealing tape or non-positively or positively held on the foam material, for example, the adjacent height areas can overlap the insert to form undercuts and so hold form-fitting.
- the foam sealing tape according to the invention may comprise two or more inserts, each in a low region together or in different, separated by a height range low areas, can be arranged.
- the insert especially in training with fleece or a fiber composite, can be flexible and thus allow a coiling up of the sealing strip.
- the foam-sealing tape according to the invention may have a plurality of low areas, wherein in two or more low areas an insert (which may be the same or different) is provided.
- the sealing tape of the invention may comprise a plurality of inserts which differ in at least one or more features selected from the group of diameters, specific gravity, chemical composition, swellability, intumescent properties, thermal conductivity, water resistance.
- a moisture-swellable insert can be provided together with a heat-swellable insert.
- a moisture-swellable or heat-swellable insert can each be provided with an insert of reduced thermal conductivity.
- a heat-swellable insert or insert with reduced thermal conductivity can be provided each with a waterproof insert.
- the height regions delimiting the respective low region can each have the same height or different heights, preferably both regions of height extend over at least half the height of the insert part, particularly preferably over the entire height of the insert part when the sealing strip is fully restored.
- the foam sealing tape 1 consists of an open-cell flexible foam such as flexible polyurethane foam.
- the foam is soaked to delayed recovery.
- various substances can be used as impregnates.
- a flame retardant Kunststoffharzpolymerim Weggnat In addition, a paraffin-based impregnate, see. approximately EP 1131525 A1 , are used.
- the foam sealing tape further has two profile areas forming in height 3.4, which are separated by a low region 5 from each other.
- the lower region of the cross-sectional profile is of rectangular design, with a contact surface 6 running straight in cross-section.
- a self-adhesive layer 7 is applied, which in its delivery state, cf. Fig. 3 , Can be covered by a cover 9.
- an insert 2 is added in the formed by the low region 5, extending in the longitudinal direction of the foam sealing tape 1 Tal.
- an insert 2 is added.
- it is an insert made of bentonite material. Bentonite is pot-like kneadable and can therefore be wound in roll form - together with the foam sealing tape 1 - as in relation to Fig. 3 described.
- the bentonite may initially be present in powdery form and then be shaken into a nonwoven for better handleability or present in an antisense form as a strip or cord.
- the insert 2 is pressed by the partially expanded foam against the soffit 8.
- the foam sealing tape 1 is expanded to some extent. However, since the fully expanded state would still far exceed the extent of the joint, there is still a preload given for sealing engagement.

Abstract
Description
The invention initially relates to a foam sealing strip arranged in a structural sealing joint, for example between a window frame and an associated reveal of a window opening in a building, which has two height regions connected by a low region with respect to a fully restored state over its width Foam sealing tape is soaked for delayed recovery.

Design foam foam tape and further develop it so that a higher functionality is given.
A possible solution of this indicated technical problem is given according to an inventive idea in an article in which in the installed state of the said foam sealing tape in the low region a contact to the soffit erbringendes insert is arranged. The insert preferably consists at least partially of a material other than foam, in particular of a foam other than the mentioned open-cell, for the delayed return. However, it can also consist of such an open-cell, soaked for delayed recovery foam, in which case, preferably in particular in the impregnate, function-improving additives are included. In addition, however, a function-improving additional material can be included as a whole in such a foam, for example, held by a form-fitting manner by clamping.
A further subject matter relates to the foam sealing tape as such, which has two height ranges connected by a low area in relation to a fully restored state over its width, wherein also in this case the foam sealing tape is impregnated for delayed recovery and arranged in the low region an insert is. Another solution results from a foam sealing tape according to
To solve the extent also applicable, already specified / technical problem is here provided that the insert is made of a swellable material. In this case, reference is made in full to the materials described below.
In the following, the statements relating to the foam sealing tape according to the invention in each case explicitly also refer to a arranged in a building sealing gap foam sealing tape, based on a fully recovered state across its width has two height ranges connected by a low region, wherein the foam sealing tape is soaked to the delayed recovery, and wherein in the low area located in contact with the soffit insert is arranged.
According to the invention, the insert is swelling and / or formed of a material with respect to the foam material of lower thermal conductivity. As a result, the foam-sealing tape can be adapted to different requirements by the insert, regardless of the foam, for example, in terms of waterproofness, fire resistance, thermal insulation properties, without interference with the foam material, such as. in an impregnation of the foam material with a particle-containing impregnate would be the case. Nevertheless, the property profile of the sealing tape as a whole and e.g. with a change in volume of the insert in a changing environment such as moisture or in the event of fire also the properties such. also the air permeability of the foam material can be changed.
The foam is, for example, a polyurethane foam. The open cell nature can be characterized by an air permeability. The air permeability can be, for example, in the range of 20 to 1000 l / m 2 sec, measured according to DIN EN 9237 on a 10 mm thick sample at 0.5 mbar vacuum, sample surface 100 cm 2 , for example in the range of 20 to 500 l / m 2 sec or 20 to 250 l / m 2 sec, for certain applications preferably 20 to 150 l / m 2 sec or 50-200 l / m 2 sec at the desired low air permeability. The measurement can be carried out with a Frank device, for example the Frank device type 21443. The foam may have a density of, for example, 25 to 100 kg / m 3 .
More preferably, the insert consists of a source material. For example, this may be a moisture swelling material. However, it may also be a heat-swelling material, as it is known in particular as an intumescent material, optionally also a combination of the two materials. By a swelling material, for example, the seal in the building can be improved. The passage of water can be delayed and / or the air permeability of the foam sealing tape by the swelling, which then - in the installed state - a higher compression in the joint is reduced. In particular, a kind of dynamic sealing can also be established so that, depending on the moisture content of the environment, a higher or lower sealing force acts on the soffit or the inserted part, such as the window frame. The moisture-swelling material is thus preferably reversibly swellable, so in dry air, it releases previously swollen water, e.g. at 25 ° C and 5% relative humidity. The intumescent compound can provide a seal against air leakage and a fire resistance in case of fire.
The swellable (moisture-swellable) mineral is particularly preferably a clay mineral, in particular bentonite. Such is easily introduced into the insert and particularly environmentally friendly and harmless even in case of fire, since unlike organic materials no fire gases are released. The moisture swellable material may also be an organic material, especially polymeric material. For example, as moisture swellable Material superabsorbent (superabsorbent polymers, SAP) are used, which can absorb many times their own weight - up to 1000 times - in water. Superabsorbents contain or consist mostly of copolymers with ionic monomers, for example copolymers of acrylic acid and ionic acrylates, such as sodium or ammonium acrylate. Crosslinking agents (eg core crosslinkers, CXL) which crosslink the polymer chains and render them water insoluble may be used here Alternatively or in addition, anionic yellow amides such as polyacrylate compounds may be used Alternatively or additionally, nonionic gelling agents such as eg swelling-capable cellulose derivatives are used, such as cellulose ethers, cellulose esters (cellulose acetobutyrate) or the like, or also swelling starch (in particular thermally treated, largely digested starch), polyvinyl alcohols or the like Such swellable materials are known per se be used in combination.
The bentonite or, more generally, the clay mineral or moisture-swellable material may in both cases (ie with respect to the sealing strip or the sealing tape arranged in the joint according to claim 1) be provided as a substance as such. The bentonite or, more generally, the clay mineral or moisture swellable material may also be incorporated in a carrier material such as a nonwoven or woven fabric. The clay mineral such as bentonite or the moisture-swelling material generally is usually present in the initial state powdery or particulate. As such, it may be shaken into the web or other backing material such as a fabric.
The moisture swelling material, especially bentonite, and the heat swelling material may also be combined in the insert.
The insert may also comprise a material which has a lower thermal conductivity than the foam material, the insert as a whole may have a lower thermal conductivity than the foam material, for example at 20 ° C and 20% re. Humidity. For this purpose, the insert may for example contain perlite (an altered volcanic glass, rock). The perlite may contain up to 2-3% by weight of water, preferably ≦ 0.5-1% by weight or ≦ 0.1-0.25% by weight. The pearlite usually has a density of 900 to 1000 kg / m 3 (bulk density of the crude perlite). By annealing to about 800 ° C to 1000 ° C, perlite inflates to fifteen to twenty times its original volume. The annealed pearlite which is preferably contained in the insert may then have a bulk density of 30 to 200 kg / m 3 or preferably 50 to 100 kg / m 3 and a thermal conductivity of λ = 0.020 to 0.14 W / mK or preferably λ = 0.040 to 0.070 W / mK.
The swellable material (moisture and / or heat swellable material) can be impregnated into a further carrier material, as here in particular a nonwoven or fabric, in which case this impregnated carrier material forms the insert. This may apply regardless of or in combination herewith also for the heat-insulating material.
Optionally, the material may be fixed by an adhesive in the substrate such as the non-woven or fabric.
The source material and / or the heat-insulating material may be 5-95 wt.% Or 10-90 wt.% Or 30-95 wt.% Or 50-95 wt.% Or up to 98 wt.% Of the insert make up or the insert may consist of 100 wt .-% of the respective material, which may be present, for example, in compressed or with a small amount of adhesive bonded form.
The source material and / or the heat-insulating material may preferably be present in particles having a particle size in the range of 5-1000 microns, without being limited thereto, for example in the range of 10-750 microns or 20-500 microns.
The volume expansion of the moisture-swelling material when swelling can be at excess water (maximum water absorption) at 20 ° C of ≥ 10-20% or ≥ 30-50% or ≥ 70-85% or up to a factor of 5-10 or up to a factor of 25-50 or up to factor 100-250 (eg in the case of superabsorbents). The volume expansion may therefore be in the range of 10% to 250 or 10% to 100 or 10% factor 25 or 50 factor (each volume .-%).
However, the insert can also be independent of a possible property as a source material in the form of a flexible but harder material than the foam. For example, in the form of a string or a strip. In the case of bentonite this is preferably displayed to form such a design. This can be a Vermindung the cross section, for example, to reduce the air permeability or generally to increase the tightness can be achieved. The insert may be provided freely in the foam-sealing tape. In particular, the insert, if it is designed as a separate part, ie as a molded part, be self-adhesive and glued by means of self-adhesive with the foam of the foam sealing tape. The insert preferably extends uniformly over the entire length of the sealing strip.
The insert may be at least partially or wholly of mineral fibers, including glass fibers and / or mineral fibers, including rockwool fibers. The fibers can in this case be crosslinked to form a fiber composite, for example in the form of a nonwoven or woven fabric, which can form a coherent band. The insert can thus be formed overall as a joint cord. The mineral fibers may comprise a shell of another material, e.g. made of glass fibers. The sheath, in particular with glass fibers, can be formed by braiding the core of the insert. The soul may contain mineral fibers or consist of mineral fibers. Optionally, sheath and / or core may also contain other fiber materials, e.g. contain organic polymeric fibers.
The insert, in particular in the form of a joint cord, can have a bulk density of ≥ 200 kg /
The respective insert can be glued to the foam-sealing tape or non-positively or positively held on the foam material, for example, the adjacent height areas can overlap the insert to form undercuts and so hold form-fitting.
The foam sealing tape according to the invention may comprise two or more inserts, each in a low region together or in different, separated by a height range low areas, can be arranged.
The insert, especially in training with fleece or a fiber composite, can be flexible and thus allow a coiling up of the sealing strip.
The foam-sealing tape according to the invention may have a plurality of low areas, wherein in two or more low areas an insert (which may be the same or different) is provided.
The sealing tape of the invention may comprise a plurality of inserts which differ in at least one or more features selected from the group of diameters, specific gravity, chemical composition, swellability, intumescent properties, thermal conductivity, water resistance. In particular, a moisture-swellable insert can be provided together with a heat-swellable insert. A moisture-swellable or heat-swellable insert can each be provided with an insert of reduced thermal conductivity. A heat-swellable insert or insert with reduced thermal conductivity can be provided each with a waterproof insert.
The height regions delimiting the respective low region can each have the same height or different heights, preferably both regions of height extend over at least half the height of the insert part, particularly preferably over the entire height of the insert part when the sealing strip is fully restored.
