  • the adaptor of the present invention in particular is used in the field of medical supplies and nursing care.
  • patients are fed through a feeding container connected to a feeding set or feeding assembly which is connected to the patient via a feeding conduit in order to feed the patient with a liquid contained in the feeding container.
  • a baby bottle can be used for the feeding container.
  • the feeding container or baby bottle can be purchased from many different manufacturers and, thus, there is a broad range of different sizes and diameters of the feeding containers and their openings.
  • US 2003/0132185 A1 discloses a cap assembly with a spout and a threaded collar, wherein the spout comprises a flange for sealing off a bottle portion.
  • US 2004/011760 A1 discloses a closure top for use with a bottle for medical use which has a freshness seal to be penetrated by insertion of a cannula of a feeding tube.
