Description

EXTERIOR PVC INTERIOR WOOD WINDOWS AND DOORS
The Related Art
The invention relates to windows and doors made of PVC and wood profiles. The invention particularly relates to windows and doors, which are configured to be formed of PVC in the frame and wings (leaves) and the exterior parts of the meeting rail profiles found in the section parts and formed of wood profile in the interior part, and which are formed with the durability feature of PVC and the healthy breathing structure of wood material. Furthermore, it is aimed to cause minimal wood consumption and thus protect the trees and forests on earth which are cut for obtaining wooden windows. With this invention, an opportunity of a great saving occurs in wood consumption, which still continues.
The Prior Art
Nowadays, windows and doors are formed with profiles formed in various structures. While the windows and doors can be formed of PVC profiles, they can also be formed of PVC, wood, and aluminium based profiles.
Inside the PVC profiles, supporting metal sheets are placed in order to form a durable structure. Frame profiles of windows are mounted to the relevant parts of buildings. According to the length of the windows, if there are sections, frame profile is mounted together with the meeting rail profiles. Wing profiles are mounted at the predetermined places on the frame profiles via hinges. Opening and closing of the wing profiles on the frame profile is ensured via hinges.
Via the seals placed between the wing profile and the frame profile, air is prevented from passing into the inner environment from the outer environment. Single glazing, double glazing or triple glazing is placed on the wing profile. It is insulated via the seals found at the side parts of the glass. A healthy environment is formed via double glazing, because the heat found at the outer environment can not enter into the inner environment.
The most durable structure against rain, moisture, hot-cold etc. factors at the outer environment that affect the material is provided via the PVC profiles. However, by also using double glazing in the doors and windows formed of PVC profiles, the air venting becomes difficult in the inner environment. As a result, the inner environment has to be vented for a period. On the other hand, doors and windows are also used, which have wood appearance via the coatings made on PVC profiles. However, although having wood appearance, the problems occurring due to having PVC structure can not be overcome and a desired structure can not be obtained. In the case of formation of doors and windows just made of wood materials, being effected from the outer environment in a short time causes problems. Since the production costs of the wood profile are high, they are not preferred.
Besides, windows and doors are made out of aluminium profiles. In the aluminium based windows, problems are encountered such as production difficulties, high costs, inefficient insulation via transfer of the external air into the internal environment etc. Therefore, improvements are continuously made in doors and windows. Improvements are being made for formation of doors and windows in a new structure.
During transfer of heat from outer environment to the wood profile through the PVC profile, the behaviours of the two different materials show differences against low or high temperatures. As a result of this, in high temperature or very low temperature conditions, the connections between the PVC profile and the wood profile are damaged. Therefore, these connections have to be very strong. Another problem is the need for providing both blockage of heat and venting of the wood profiles via an air channel while the air is passing through the PVC profile proceeds towards the inner part. When the wood profiles are not ventilated, deformations may occur on the material structure. A reason of the wood material being healthy is its property of providing a balanced air structure in the inner and outer environment by continuous air transfer.
With the improvements made, it is tried to obtain windows and doors which are configured to have both the PVC and the wood profiles together. However, problems occur during combination of the PVC profiles and the wood profiles. Doors and windows are affected from the variations of the conditions at the external environment during usage. In this case, with sudden variations, openings occur at the PVC-wood combination points. Thus, the expected life shortens. Particularly, while using doors and windows in very low temperatures, such as in the poles, the durability of the structures made of PVC-wood profiles with double or triple glazing are negatively affected. A complete insulation can not be provided from the temperature of the external environment. Use of wood profiles in a healthy manner can not be ensured by providing a natural wood smell to the inner environment. To the improvements made in the technical field, the applications with no EP 0674081 , WO 9806921 , DE 10100101 , EP 1640548 can be given as examples. However, the above given problems are not solved with the window structures provided in these applications. A structure which prevents deformation of the wood profiles and the PVC profiles due to the external impacts can not be provided. Their productions are difficult and costly. Combination of wood and PVC profiles are difficult. In general, in these applications, since the problems at the combination structures of the PVC and the wood profiles continue, stronger structures are tried to be formed with new techniques by developing profiles at the same points. As it would be understood, formation of a new solution is necessary by overcoming the problems in formation of windows and doors made of PVC and wood profiles. A structure, in which the PVC material provides both venting of the wood material and the air insulation, can not be formed. While the wood material is quickly affected from the temperature variations and changes occur in its structure rapidly, PVC material does not behave in the same way, since it is more durable. Thus, problems occur at combination Qoint) points of the PVC and the wood material.

Detailed Description of the Invention
Our invention is the windows (24) and doors (30), which are formed in a novel structure formed of the frame and wing profiles (1 ,14) in which the PVC profiles (5) and the wood profiles (10) are combined. The wood profile (10) and the PVC profile (5) combine in a completely fitting manner. In this way their disintegration or the combination places being damaged is not possible.
As it can be seen in Figure-1 , the frame profile (1) is formed by combination of the PVC profile (5) with the wood profile (14). On the PVC profile (5), the seal housing (2), at the inner part, the supporting metal sheet (3), and extensions (4) at the combination part of the supporting metal sheet (3) and the wood profile (10) are formed. On the PVC profile (5), there are PVC profile chambers (6). At the side part, there is a wood profile housing (7) in connection with the insulation gap (13). Side wood profiles (22) are mounted on the side wood profile housing (8) part in a way that they would be mounted as glazing beads. Wood profile (10) is mounted on the wood profile fitting extensions (11) at the knurled structure (9) found on the PVC _ _
profile mounting extensions (15) at the wood profile housing (7). The wood profile protrusions (12) at lower and upper parts of the wood profile (10) are mounted on the PVC profile (5).
As it can be seen in Figure-2, the wing profile (14) is formed by combination of the PVC profile (5) with the wood profile (10). Inside the PVC profile (5), the supporting metal sheet (3) is placed. At the part in which the supporting metal sheet (3) is found and at the wood profile housing (7), extensions (4) are formed. These extensions (4) protect the PVC profile (5) wall.
As it can be seen in Figure-3, meeting rail profile (16) is formed by combination of the PVC profile (5) with the wood profile (10). Inside the PVC profile (5), the supporting metal sheet (3) is found.
As it can be seen in Figure-4, the door wing profile (17) is formed by combination of the PVC profile (5) comprising the supporting metal sheet (3) with the wood profile (10).
As it can be seen in Figure-5, there are seals (21) in contact with the single glazing (18). The seal (21), mounted on the seal housing (2) found on the PVC profile (5), forms a sealing structure on the single glazing (18). The side wood profile (22) is mounted to the side wood profile housing (8). Being in contact with the seal (21), the single glazing (18) forms a sealing structure at the side part. In Figure-6 and figure-7, the application method for the double glazing (19) and the triple glazing (20) are given. Windows (24) and doors (10) are formed in a way that they have PVC profiles (5) at their exterior parts and wood profiles (10) at their interior parts.
As it can be seen in Figure-8, the frame and wing profiles (1 ,14) forming the window (24) are given. An air channel (25) is formed by forming so small holes on the PVC profiles (5) that they can not be seen by naked eye. In this way, the wood profiles (14) are vented and therefore they are ensured to be more healthy and long-lasting. Supporting metal sheets (3) in two different forms are placed for the frame profile (1) and the wing profile (14). As it can be seen in Figure-9, the mounting sectional view of the doors (30) are given, which are formed with the door wing profile (17) and the frame profile (1). Seals (21) are placed between the wood profile (10) and the PVC profile (5).
As it can be seen in Figure-10, the sectional view of the meeting rail profile (16) and wing profile (14) are given. In the structures in which certain sections are formed via the meeting rail profile (16), windows (24) are formed in the meeting rail profile (16) part.
As it can be seen in Figure-11 , mount of the frame-wing profile (1 ,14) is given. Windows (24) are formed with the wing profile (14) and the frame (1) profiles. Supporting metal sheets (5) in suitable form with the PVC profiles (5) are placed in the frame and wing profiles (1,14).
As it can be seen in Figure-12 and figure-13, Corners are formed in 135° and 90° angles with the wing profiles (14), which have corner roundings in contact with the corner rounding profile (26). While an angled rotation is provided on the corner rounding profile (26), sealing is also provided with the seals (21). On the corner rounding profile (26), mounting is easily made by mounting the combination surfaces (27) on the wing profile (14). In Figure-14, at the corner roundings, the corner box profile (28) and the wing profiles (14) at 90° angles are connected from the combination surfaces (27). Supporting metal sheet (3) is placed in the corner box profile (28).
As it can be seen in Figure-15, mounting of the wood casing profile (29) and the frame-wing profile (1 , 14) can be made. Seal (21) is mounted between the exterior wood casing profile (29) and the PVC profile (5). Windows (30) and doors (24) are formed with the wood profile (10) at the inner part of the frame and wing profile (1 , 14) and the PVC profile (5) at the outer part.
Description of the Way of Production and Mounting;
Painted, foiled, and finished PVC profiles (5) and wood profiles (10) are cut according to the dimensions of the present windows (24) in double headed cutting machine or in mitre cutting machine by providing 45 degrees of mitre tips at both edges. The PVC and wood profiles (5,10) cut according to their dimensions, are put into edge duplication milling machines in order to increase their corner welding endurance, and the wood surfaces of the PVC corner combination edges at the parts that would be welded are trimmed for a few millimetres in the corner milling machine. Since this trimmed surface does not harm the wood structure, a perfect workmanship is obtained.
Windows (24) made of wood-PVC profiles (10,5) comprise interior parts made of wood profile (10) which has natural appearance. And these windows (24) are formed to have an exterior part made of PVC profile (5) which is long-lasting and durable against ultraviolet radiation and external factors.
After this step, in order to increase the internal strength of the PVC profiles (5) and make it much stronger, dip galvanized supporting metal sheet (3) is placed inside these. The supporting metal sheets (3) placed are attached to the PVC profiles (5) via driller screws. In the next step, combinations of 45 degree corners heated at 250 0C are made. With this process, window (24) is obtained in desired dimensions having increased comer durability PVC-wood window profiles (5,10).
The next process is completed in the corner cleaning and de-burring machine. In this process, the PVC profile (5) is placed in a way that it would fit on the lower plate. The extra burr coming out of the PVC profile (5) during the corner combination is taken via the lower scraping knife. The wood profile (10) part which would fit on the upper part opens the housing, in which the corner combination apparatus will fit, at the corner combination place via the specially designed saw in a way that would not harm the PVC profile (5).
This operation is applied in the same way in the frame profile (1)- wing profile (14) - from the frame wing to the frame profile (1 ,14,1)- meeting rail profile (16)-door wing profiles (17).
In the next steps, the meeting rail profiles (16) of the windows (24), which have sections, are taken out. Water and wind are easily discharged via the specially designed discharge channels. The same process is applied on all frame and wing profiles (1 , 14). The discharged rain water is discharged before reaching the frame profile (1) seal (21) part thanks to the wing profile (14). After this step, the window bar holes of the wing profiles (14) are opened. In the next steps the wood side profiles (of the glazing bead profiles) (22) are cut and mounted.
The next step is the step of placing the frame - wing (1 , 14) profiles. In this step, the compatible frames and wings (1 , 14) are combined via special hinges and then they can be opened and closed. In the last step, their packaging, quality control and distribution are made.
The invention cannot be limited to the illustrative embodiments given under this section. Alternative embodiments that can be developed by persons skilled in the related art on basis of basic factors covered under scope of protections indicated under claims shall mean violation of the invention.
