Definitions

  • the present invention relates to the technical field of security documents, identification documents and / or securities documents.
  • the invention relates to documents which, because of their nature or rights they may confer, must be protected from counterfeiting or falsification.
  • the medium is in the form of a page of a booklet (passport, etc.) or a general form of card (identity card, etc.).
  • variable printed data also designated by variable mentions, related for example to the identity of its bearer (the portrait, the names, first names of the bearer) which therefore differ from one holder to another.
  • the document WO 2005/108110 refers to valuable documents (such as banknotes or checks), to which a laser-generated identifier is added which forms an optical effect that makes it difficult to imitate.
  • an outer ink layer comprising a laser radiation-absorbing component is used by transforming or vaporizing.
  • a laser absorbing layer 126 is introduced beneath the outer layer of ink, and between two layers of laser insensitive ink ( Fig. 7a, 7b ). This laser absorbing intermediate layer 126 and the laser insensitive ink bottom layer are patterned together by printing technology to represent a pattern.
  • the laser absorbing layer 126 is then laser etched and uniformly ablated onto a surface 136. A succession of zones with different optical impressions is thus created.
  • zones 140 and 144 two effects related to the pigments of the outer layer, respectively non-transformed and transformed by the laser, are observed. In an area 142, only a flat, clear surface is observed. Finally, in a zone 146, the color of the laser-insensitive lower layer is simply observed. It is the set of zones that forms the means of identification.
  • documents generally include a combination of security features that make it very difficult to reproduce or falsify.
  • a security element may consist for example of an insert (security thread, electronic chip) incorporated in the support, but also in a pattern (text, portrait, logo, etc.) printed on the support, etc.
