Claims (8)

  1. Cooker (2), comprising a hob (3), an oven (4) having a cooking chamber (17) having a door (5) which closes the cooking chamber (17), and a control panel (6) having control elements (9, 10) for controlling the oven (2),
    an upper region (7) of the control panel (6) being provided in order to control the hob (3) and a lower region (8) of the control panel (6) being provided in order to control the oven (4), characterised in that
    the lower region (8) of the control panel (6) for controlling the oven (4) is mounted, at least in part, such that it can pivot about a shaft (20) that is in the upper portion of this region of the control panel (6) and the oven (2) comprises a motor (19) for pivoting this region,
    a gap (18) for removing vapour being provided between the door (5), which closes the cooking chamber (17), and the control panel (6), which gap is covered, at least in part, by the lower region (8) of the control panel (6) in the approximately vertical position and is uncovered again when the lower region (8) of the control panel (6) is extended,
    the lower region (8) of the control panel (6) being automatically pivoted out of the approximately vertical position towards the field of vision of the operator as soon as the oven (4) is being used and/or the pivoting can be manually controlled.
  2. Cooker (2) according to claim 1, wherein a mechanism (27) is arranged between the motor (19) and the lower pivotable region (8) of the control panel (6) and is provided in particular as a transmission consisting of gear wheels (22, 25).
  3. Cooker (2) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the motor (19) is a synchronous motor.
  4. Cooker (2) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the lower pivotable region (8) of the control panel (6) is pivotable out of the approximately vertical position towards the field of vision of the operator by preferably between 0° and 90°, more preferably between 15° and 60°, particularly preferably between 25° and 45°.
  5. Cooker (2) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the lower pivotable region (8) of the control panel (6) is automatically retracted at the end of a cooking process in the oven (4).
  6. Cooker (2) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the lower pivotable region (8) of the control panel (6) extends substantially over the width of the baking muffle (17).
  7. Cooker (2) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein at least the final position of the retracted position (28) of the lower region (8) of the control panel (6) is controlled by a microswitch by means of a cam on a gear wheel (22, 25).
  8. Cooker (2) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the control elements (10) arranged in the lower region (8) of the control panel (6) can be operated by an operator in order to control the oven (4) even when the lower region (8) is retracted.
