  2. Method for producing a surface of a component, particularly a wooden surface, having a uniform appearance, wherein defective areas on the surface are detected and repaired by smoothing the damaged surface region, characterised in that a printer prints a print image onto a carrier, said carrier then being applied onto the repaired surface region, wherein the visual design of the print image on the repaired surface region is adapted to the visual design of the adjoining surface region.
