- the paper is compressed using the compression device 22, 23 by extending the compression device 22, 23 using the scissors lift downwardly towards the floor 20 of the paper receiving compartment 8.
- the locking pins 26 may be inserted through the bushings 25 which are located on the hinge mounted door 24. It will be appreciated that the use of these horizontally arranged compressed paper locking pins 26 for retaining compressed paper and cardboard will eliminate spring back caused by material memory will greatly increase the capacity.
- the hinge mounted door 24 is opened as shown in Figure 6 .
- the compression device 22, 23 is extended in order to assist the paper out of the paper receiving compartment 8. It will be understood that the proximal end wall 21 will direct the paper out would leave from the paper receiving compartment 8. - the hydraulic cylinder 44 in order to open the discharge door 38, the hydraulic cylinder 44 extends the cylinder shaft 45. Due to the linkage mechanism 46, 47 and the rollers 48a and 48b, the weight of the discharge door 38 causes the discharge door 38 to travel downwardly in the slotted mountings 49a. This downward movement unlocks the discharge door 38. As the hydraulic cylinder shaft 45 further extends, the discharge door 38 pivots outwardly into a partially open position as shown in Figure 9 . It will be appreciated that in the fully open position, the discharge door 38 will pivot to at least a horizontal level, and preferably to below the horizontal level. When the discharge door 38 is to be closed, the hydraulic cylinder 44 is activated to retract the hydraulic cylinder shaft 45.
- the hydraulic cylinder shaft 45 pulls the linkage mechanism 46, 47 through the rollers 48a and 48b.
- the discharge door 38 is first pivoted back into a closed position, and then due to the continued retraction of the hydraulic cylinder shaft 45 by the hydraulic cylinder 44, the discharge door at 38 is shifted slightly upwardly so that the upper edge of the discharge door at 38 extends into the L-shaped lip 49b which acts as a safety catch.
- the plate 41 when the plate 41 is lowered to coincide with the floor 30 covering the opening 39, the plate 41 acts as a part of an extended floor in the upper recyclable material compartment 11.
- the plate 41 In known kerbside recycling vehicles, it is common for up to 17% of the length of the upper recyclable material compartment 11 to be used to accommodate a lifting and compacting device to lift packaging materials into the upper recyclable material compartment. Therefore, on the last lift of packaging materials into the upper recyclable material compartment 11, the plate 41 may be held in a raised state coincident with the floor 30 of the upper recyclable material compartment 11 to lengthen the effective floor area of the upper recyclable material compartment 11.
- the product piercing devices 50 and 60 as illustrated in Figures 13 and 14 respectively.
- the product piercing device 50 as the recyclable material is being pushed up towards the roof 31 it will impinge against the spikes 52 which will penetrate the packaging which would then be forced further onto the spikes 52 pushing the product engaging plate 53 towards the base plate 51 which will compress the springs 54.
- the springs will 54 will urge the product engaging plate 53 down over the spikes 52 to release the pierced recyclable material.

- the lip 74 on the flowable material receiving wheel mounted stillage 70 disengages from the locking bar 78 on the locking mechanism 75.
- the flowable material receiving wheel mounted stillage 70 may be then wheeled away by a user to be emptied in a particular recycling area, remote from the storage container 1.
- the locking bar 78 may extend along the length of the storage container 1 so that all of the stillages that are lifted and locked into place will be contemporaneously lowered to ground level and released so as to be removable from their compartments respectively.
- individual locking mechanisms may be used for each stillage in each particular compartment. Hooks, loops, or other such receiving means may be used instead of the lip 78. It is envisaged that the additional locking mechanisms may be activated to securely hold the spillage in place as the storage container 1 is in movement.

Additionally, the brushes 92 will also reduce the level of noise. In a preferred embodiment, natural rubber may line the bucket 93, the inner part of the stillage 90 so as to further reduce the level of noise.

- the standard CanBus protocol will be used to provide an icon based control system to an operator in the vehicle cab.
- a display screen of the icon based control system would show the operator the current status of an ongoing operation, any faulty components such as a transducer, a solenoid, a valve and the like to allow for a quick replacement of the broken component part.
- the kerbside cycling vehicle may comprise an air axle on the chassis which acts to lower the ride height of the kerbside recycling vehicle when the vehicle is in a stationary position.
- This control may be incorporated into the CanBus control mechanism and may be automatically activated when the kerbside recycling vehicle is programmed to be in a refuse collection operative state.
- the reduction in ride height of the vehicle will allow easier access to the refuse receiving flaps for operators.
- the ride height may be increased to a normal operating level again should the speed of the vehicle increase above a predetermined threshold, such as 5 km/h.
- the container 1 will be manufactured from lightweight stainless steel with high-strength space framed twin skin construction with the sheeting forming the sides of the container and made for easy removal and replacement of damaged panels and components.

- wheeled chassis includes not just simply a trailer mounted on wheels for towing behind a vehicle, but also a vehicle itself and any other form of transporting device or equipment. Indeed, one could well envisage situations where the chassis would not have wheels would simply be loaded on an off a transport vehicle while resting on skids. However, in general the chassis would-be wheeled trailers or vehicles. Thus, the term “wheeled chassis” must be accorded the widest possible interpretation.

Claims (15)
- Contenant de stockage (1) de déchets recyclables à plusieurs compartiments à des fins de montage sur un châssis à roues (2) ce par quoi le contenant de stockage (1) comporte :une pluralité de compartiments de réception de déchets recyclables (5, 6, 7, 8) disposés en un alignement et côte-à-côte au niveau inférieur et s'étendant depuis une extrémité proximale (9) jusqu'à une extrémité distale (10) du contenant de stockage (1) et adaptés à des fins de montage sur le châssis à roues (2) ;un compartiment fermé pour matériaux recyclables au niveau supérieur (11) s'étendant en travers d'un ou plusieurs des compartiments de réception de déchets recyclables (5, 6, 7, 8) disposés en un alignement et côte-à-côte au niveau inférieur ; ce par quoi,le compartiment de réception de déchets recyclables au niveau inférieur (5) situé au niveau de l'extrémité proximale (9) du contenant de stockage (1) de déchets est en communication avec le compartiment fermé pour matériaux recyclables au niveau supérieur (11) au travers d'une ouverture (39) dans le plancher (30) du compartiment fermé pour matériaux recyclables au niveau supérieur (11) ;caractérisé en ce quele contenant de stockage (1) comporte par ailleurs un dispositif de levage et de compactage (40) servant à soulever des matériaux recyclables depuis le compartiment de réception de déchets recyclables au niveau inférieur (5) jusque dans le compartiment fermé pour matériaux recyclables au niveau supérieur (11) au travers de l'ouverture (39), et servant à compacter les matériaux recyclables contre le toit (31) du compartiment pour matériaux recyclables au niveau supérieur (11).
- Contenant de stockage (1) de déchets recyclables à plusieurs compartiments selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :le compartiment fermé pour matériaux recyclables au niveau supérieur (11) comporte une paire de parois latérales allongées orientées l'une vers l'autre (32) reliant le plancher (30) et le toit (31), une paroi d'extrémité proximale (33) et une paroi d'extrémité distale (34) ayant une porte de décharge (38) ; etle compartiment pour matériaux recyclables au niveau supérieur (11) comprend un dispositif de transfert de matériaux recyclables (35) servant à déplacer les matériaux recyclables, après compactage, à distance de sa paroi d'extrémité proximale (33) vers sa paroi d'extrémité distale (34).
- Contenant de stockage (1) de déchets recyclables à plusieurs compartiments selon la revendication 2, dans lequel la paroi d'extrémité distale (34) du compartiment pour matériaux recyclables au niveau supérieur (11) comporte par ailleurs une lèvre en forme de L s'étendant vers l'extérieur et vers le bas (49b) le long de son bord supérieur pour recevoir et retenir la porte de décharge (38) dans une position fermée.
- Contenant de stockage (1) de déchets recyclables à plusieurs compartiments selon la revendication 1, dans lequel le toit (31) au-dessus de l'ouverture (39) incorpore un dispositif de perçage de matériaux recyclables (50, 60) sur lequel les matériaux recyclables sont dirigés par le dispositif de levage et de compactage (40).
- Contenant de stockage (1) de déchets recyclables à plusieurs compartiments selon la revendication 4, dans lequel le dispositif de perçage de matériaux recyclables (50) comporte une pluralité de pics dirigés vers le bas (52).
- Contenant de stockage (1) de déchets recyclables à plusieurs compartiments selon la revendication 4 ou la revendication 5, dans lequel le dispositif de perçage de matériaux recyclables (50) comporte une pluralité de pics faisant saillie vers le bas (52) montés sur une plaque de base (51) et faisant saillie au travers d'une plaque de mise en prise de matériaux recyclables (53) munie d'un moyen de sollicitation (54) sollicitant la plaque de mise en prise de matériaux recyclables (53) vers le bas contre tout matériau recyclable venant empiéter dessus.
- Contenant de stockage (1) de déchets recyclables à plusieurs compartiments selon la revendication 6, dans lequel le moyen de sollicitation (54) comporte une pluralité de ressorts (55) dont chacun est monté entre le toit (31) du compartiment pour matériaux recyclables au niveau supérieur (11) et la plaque de mise en prise de matériaux recyclables (53).
- Contenant de stockage (1) de déchets recyclables à plusieurs compartiments selon la revendication 4, dans lequel le dispositif de perçage de matériaux recyclables (60) comporte une pluralité de pointes remplaçables pointues (63) montées sur une pluralité d'arbres de cylindre qui font partie d'une pluralité de cylindres (61).
- Contenant de stockage (1) de déchets recyclables à plusieurs compartiments selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel l'un des compartiments de réception de déchets recyclables (6, 7, 8) est un compartiment de réception de papier (8), ce par quoi le compartiment de réception de papier (8) comporte un plancher en deux parties, une paroi d'extrémité proximale (21) à des fins de montage d'une partie (28) du plancher en deux parties, une porte montée par charnière distale (24) à des fins de montage de l'autre partie (27) du plancher en deux parties, et une paire de parois latérales orientées l'une vers l'autre reliant la paroi d'extrémité proximale (21) sur la porte montée par charnière distale (24).
- Contenant de stockage (1) de déchets recyclables à plusieurs compartiments selon la revendication 9, dans lequel le compartiment de réception de papier (8) loge un dispositif de compactage de papier qui agit vers le bas à des fins de compactage du papier contre le plancher en deux parties.
- Contenant de stockage (1) de déchets recyclables à plusieurs compartiments selon la revendication 9 ou la revendication 10, dans lequel ladite une partie (28) du plancher en deux parties montée sur la paroi d'extrémité proximale (21) est en mesure de pivoter vers le bas par rapport à la paroi d'extrémité proximale (21).
- Contenant de stockage (1) de déchets recyclables à plusieurs compartiments selon les revendications 9 à 11, le compartiment de réception de papier (8) comportant par ailleurs au moins un ensemble de broches de blocage de papier comprimé (26) en mesure de se déplacer dans le sens latéral par rapport au mouvement du papier lors de la compression pour tenir le papier comprimé en position dès que le dispositif de compactage de papier est retiré à la fin d'un cycle de compression.
- Contenant de stockage (1) de déchets recyclables à plusieurs compartiments selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel au moins l'un des compartiments de réception de déchets (6, 7, 8) est un compartiment de réception de matériaux fluides (6) et comprend une plate-forme supplémentaire de réception de déchets montée sur roues (70) ce par quoi les matériaux fluides sont acheminés dans un contenant monté sur roues à des fins de retrait ultérieur ; ce par quoi, la plate-forme supplémentaire de réception de déchets montée sur roues (70) comporte un moyen de réception permettant à la plate-forme de réception de déchets montée sur roues (70) d'être soulevée et verrouillée dans le compartiment de réception de matériaux fluides (6).
- Contenant de stockage (1) de déchets recyclables à plusieurs compartiments selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel le contenant de stockage (1) de déchets recyclables comporte un compartiment de réception de verre recyclable (7) ayant une plaque de montage (83) qui pivote vers l'extérieur pour recevoir et assujettir une caisse pour verre recyclable (84), et un rideau d'isolement acoustique servant à recouvrir l'espace formé quand la plaque de montage (83) est pivotée vers l'extérieur depuis un cadre de support (82) du compartiment de réception de verre recyclable ;
la plaque de montage (83) comporte une ouverture de réception de verre recyclable (87) formée dans celle-ci qui permet au verre recyclable de passer de la caisse pour verre recyclable (84) au compartiment de réception de verre recyclable (7), des moyens de retenue (85a, 85b) de caisse pour verre recyclable étant mis en oeuvre sur sa face extérieure pour assujettir la caisse pour verre recyclable (84), et une trémie arquée (86) entourant l'ouverture de réception de verre recyclable (87) et faisant saillie vers l'intérieur depuis sa face intérieure ; ce par quoi,
la plaque de montage (83) et/ou la trémie arquée (86) sont agencées pour uniquement diriger le verre recyclable depuis la caisse pour verre recyclable (84) jusqu'au compartiment de réception de verre recyclable (7) quand une extrémité de décharge de la trémie arquée (86) a été pivotée vers l'intérieur au-delà du plan du rideau d'isolement acoustique. - Contenant de stockage (1) de déchets recyclables à plusieurs compartiments selon la revendication 14, dans lequel le compartiment de réception de verre recyclable (7) comporte par ailleurs des amortisseurs à gaz (89a, 89b) servant à des fins d'assistance au levage de la plaque de montage (83) ayant la caisse pour verre recyclable (84) assujettie sur celle-ci depuis une position ouverte abaissée jusqu'à une position fermée relevée.
