Description

The present invention relates to a snow board on snow such as a ski, a monoski, a surf, or other. It relates more particularly to an improvement relating to a gliding board whose structure is of the type called "sandwich".

The practice of boardsports is becoming more and more followers and has evolved in recent years with more and more demanding practitioners on the quality of products. This is, for example, the case of snow sports.

Numerous models of gliding boards, and especially skis, which are constituted by an elongated beam of variable thickness, the front end of which is raised to form the spatula, while the lower surface comprises a slip sole bordered by metal edges.

Despite all the efforts made by the manufacturers to satisfy the customers, there is not, to date, ski combining perfectly the comfort of use with satisfactory characteristics of behavior in the trajectories, whatever the type of ground, and whoever the user is.

Some solutions have been proposed, as for example by the constructions disclosed by US patents US published under number 2006/0091645 , the French patent 1 294 003 , the French patent FR 2 798 297 , the Japanese patent 55112577 , the French patent FR 2,683,734 , 2,670,392 and 2,675,391 . But all these proposals turn out not to be perfect, and the present invention seeks to remedy this by proposing a gliding board not having the same characteristics of stiffness on its side edges to locate snap areas on the snow and locally improve this attachment.

The ski disclosed by the international patent application is also known WO 97/06864 which discloses a ski having the shape of an elongate beam of variable thickness, comprising a central zone called pad extended forwards by a front zone raised at its end to form a spatula, and backwards by a zone rear end with a bead, said beam comprising a central longitudinal core is constituted by a beam extending longitudinally, at least one reinforcing layer, a top layer of protection and decoration a sliding layer made by a sheet of a material to low coefficient of friction bordered by two edges, while each of the lateral faces of the core is secured a song, this song being extended laterally by an external edge through a passage in the reinforcing layer during the manufacture of the ski. According to the previous construction, the outer song is not intimately related to the inner song which is in contact with the nucleus. This structure, although perfected, does not make it possible to make a ski which is satisfactory in all types of snow and does not make it possible, in particular, to locate snap zones.

Thus the snow sliding board according to the invention, having the shape of an elongated beam of variable thickness, comprising a central zone called pad extended forwards by a front zone raised at its end to form a spatula, and rearwards by a rear area terminated by a heel, said beam comprising
  • a central longitudinal core constituted by a longitudinally extending beam,
  • at least one reinforcing layer
  • a top layer of protection and decor
  • a sliding layer formed by a sheet of a low friction material bordered by two edges,
while at each of the lateral faces of the core is secured a respective singing
is characterized in that at least one of the songs is made up of at least a part of the length of the board, two intimately linked, longitudinally extending edge members, namely an internal vocal element whose side face internal is secured to the lateral face of the core and an outer edge element, while the width of at least one of the songs varies longitudinally, while the two edge elements are joined together by the cooperation of shapes between the adjacent lateral faces, namely between the internal lateral face of the external element and the external lateral face of the inner element.

The gliding board of the invention is for example of the type of construction called "sandwich". Thus, and as is clear from the figure 2 , the body of the gliding board includes
  • a central longitudinal core (7) consisting of a longitudinally extending beam,
  • at least one reinforcing layer (8a, 8b, 8c)
  • a top layer of protection and decoration (9)
  • a sliding layer (10) formed by a sheet of a low friction material bordered by two metal edges (11a, 11b), which define a longitudinal curvature known as the dimension line (LC).
while at each of the lateral faces (12a, 12b) of the core (7) is joined directly or indirectly a respective edge (13a, 13b) formed by at least one longitudinal profile, namely a singing left (13a) and a right edge (13b), the core may be covered with a reinforcing layer to form a torsion box.

According to the achievements illustrated in particular Figures 4, 5 , 7 and 8 and given as non-limiting examples, the body of the gliding board comprises an upper reinforcing layer (8a), and two lower reinforcing layers (8b, 8c).

In known manner, the reinforcing layers are of composite material such as fiberglass, carbon, aramid, ceramic or other impregnated with a thermoplastic resin or thermosetting resins, see aluminum.

The slip layer (10) is for example polyethylene.

Les chants (13a, 13b) sont en matière plastique comme par exemple de type ABS avantageusement chargée, voir en matière phénolique compriméeThe edges (13a, 13b) are made of plastic such as, for example, of the ABS type that is advantageously loaded, see in compressed phenolic material

The core (7) is made of wood or synthetic foam such as expanded polyurethane.

According to the embodiments as illustrated, each of the side edges (13a, 13b) is a longitudinal profile whose height (H) is greater than its width (e). Note that the height (H) is substantially equal to the thickness of the core. Thus, the height (H) of each song is variable to evolve with the value of the thickness of the core.

According to the invention the width (e) of at least one of the songs (13a, 13b) is such that over the length, this width evolves. In other words, the width (e) of the edge varies longitudinally to present at least one zone of greater width than that which is found in other places along the length. Of course, each of the songs (13a, 13b) may be concerned with the variation of width.

According to the embodiments, represented by the Figures 2 to 12 at least one of the songs (13a, 13b) consists of two intimately connected singing elements (13'a, 13 "a-13'b, 13" b) extending longitudinally, namely an internal element of edge (13 "a, 13" b) whose internal lateral face (14a, 14b) is secured to the lateral face (12a, 12b) of the core (7) and an external edge element (13'a, 13 ') b). Note that the two edge elements are secured together by the cooperation of shapes between adjacent side faces (18'a, 18 "a-18'b, 18" b), namely between the inner side face (18'a, 18'b) of the outer member (13'a, 13'b) and the outer side face (18 "a, 18" b) of the inner member (13 "a, 13" b).

According to the embodiment variant illustrated in figure 2 the outer edge elements (13'a, 13'b) do not show any undulation, and follow the profile of the dimension line while having a constant width (e), and the inner edge element ( 13 "a, 13" b) has a corrugation in particular towards the plane (P). Thus, the edge (13a, 13b) comprises two zones of smaller width (15a, 15'a-15b, 15'b), separated by a protruding zone (16a, 16b) said central projection extending towards the plane ( P), while the front zone of smaller width (15a, 15b) is limited forwardly (AV) by a front projection (16'a, 16'b), while the rear zone of smaller width (15 ') a, 15'b) is limited longitudinally by the central projection (16a, 16b) and rearwardly (AR), by a rear projection (16 "a, 16"'b). We have understood that the succession of a projection (16'a, 16'b), a recess (15a, 15b) of a projection (16a, 16b) and a recess (15'a, 15'b) followed by a protrusion (16 "a, 16" b) forms a corrugation of the inner face (14a, 14b) of the edge (13a, 13b). This wave is made especially on a surfboard to improve its grip on the snow. Thus, thanks to the proposed construction the gliding board has areas where the attachment is maximum in the areas where the edge and in particular its internal singing elements are projecting and wider.

According to the embodiments described above, it is the internal lateral face (14a, 14b) of the edge (13a, 13b), in contact and secured to the external lateral face (12a, 12b) of the core (7) which comprises the or the protruding areas (16'a, 16a, 16 "a - 16'b, 16b, 16" b), but it could be otherwise. Indeed, it is the external lateral face (17a, 17b) of the song (13a, 13b) which could include the projecting zone or zones, see the undulation.

According to the variant illustrated in figure 3 the inner side face (18'a, 18'b) of the outer edge element (13'a, 13'b) has a shape-compliant corrugation with a corrugation of corresponding shape and size, formed on the external side face (18 "a, 18" b) of the inner edge element (13 "a, 13" b).

According to the embodiments described above, the outer lateral faces (17a, 17b) extend vertically to make substantially a right angle (A) with the sliding surface (S). Generators generating the external lateral surfaces (17a, 17b) of the edges (13a, 13b) are substantially perpendicular with respect to the sliding surface (S) and follow longitudinally the dimension lines (LC).

So the Figures 4 and 5 are cross-sectional views along AA of the figure 2 and some figure 3 for the illustration of the figure 4 and according to BB of the figure 3 for the illustration of the figure 5 .

The figure 6 is a schematic view from above, of a variant according to which the edge (13a, 13b) comprises, as before, two edge elements (13'a, 13'b-13 "a, 13" b) and according to which the face external side (17a, 17b) is inclined. Thus at the edges, the outer side face has the lower curvature (C1) while in the upper part it has the upper curvature (C2), these two curvatures along the dimension line (LC). This arrangement can also be obtained by machining the songs. Which will have the effect if the elements of songs are of different color to see in some places appear the color of the inner element of song, thus creating effects of colors.

According to another embodiment illustrated in figure 6a , and Figures 7 and 8 , the angle of inclination (A) is variable to have a significant value in the area of the pad (2) and gradually decrease towards the ends. The figure 7 is a sectional view according to CC of the figure 6a while the figure 8 is a sectional view according to DD of the figure 6a .

Note that if the generator is sufficiently inclined, on the side faces of the gliding board will appear the two elements constituting the songs.

The Figures 9 to 12 are partial schematic half-views of partial tops similar to the figure 6 illustrating four alternative embodiments.

La figure 5 est une vue selon la demi coupe transversale B-B de la figure 9.According to the variant illustrated in figure 9 the edge is such that in the area of the pad (2) the edge (13a, 13b) consists only of an inner edge element (13 "a, 13" b) while in the front (3) and rear zones (1) of the gliding board, the song consists of two intimately linked singing elements (13'a, 13 "a-13'b, 13" b), extending longitudinally, namely an internal singing element (13 "a, 13" b) whose inner lateral face (14a, 14b) is secured to the lateral face (12a, 12b) of the core (7) and an external edge element (13'a, 13'b) . Note also that according to this embodiment the width of the song (e) is variable. Note that in the area of the shoe (2) the edge (13a, 13b) consists only of the inner edge element (13 "a, 13" b), while in the front zones (3) and back (5) the song includes both singing elements. The figure 4 is a view along the half-cross section AA of the figure 9 . The figure 5 is a view along the half-cross section BB of the figure 9 .

According to the variant illustrated in figure 10 the edge (13a, 13b) consists of two intimately connected singing elements (13'a, 13 "a-13'b, 13" b) extending longitudinally, namely an internal vocal element (13 "a , 13 "b) whose inner lateral face (14a, 14b) is secured to the lateral face (12a, 12b) of the core (7) and an outer edge element (13'a, 13'b). Note that as before, the two edge elements are secured together by the cooperation of shapes between the adjacent side faces (18'a, 18 "a-18'b, 18" b), namely between the internal lateral face (18 'a, 18'b) of the outer member (13'a, 13'b) and the outer side face (18 "a, 18" b) of the inner member (13 "a, 13" b). It will also be noted that according to this embodiment the width of the internal singing element (13 "a, 13" b) of the edge is constant while the width of the outer element (13'a, 13'b) is variable to increase from the pad area (2) to the ends. The figure 5 is a view along the half-cross section BB of the figure 10 . It has been understood that the edge (13) comprises two edge elements (13a, 13'a) in the front (3) and rear (5) zones whose width varies along their length.

It will be noted that according to the variants illustrated in Figures 9 and 10 , the gliding board has two areas where the attachment is maximum localized in the ends of said board and more particularly in the front (3) and rear (5) areas, where the edge has a greater width and consists of two singing elements (13'a, 13 "a), whereas in the zone of the pad (2), the edge consists only of the internal singing element (13" a).

La figure 5 est une vue selon la demi coupe transversale B-B de la figure 11.According to the variant illustrated in figure 11 the edge (13a, 13b) consists of two intimately connected singing elements (13'a, 13 "a-13'b, 13" b) extending longitudinally, namely an internal vocal element (13 "a , 13 "b) whose inner lateral face (14a, 14b) is secured to the lateral face (12a, 12b) of the core (7) and an outer edge element (13'a, 13'b). It will also be noted that according to this embodiment, the inner edge element (13 "a, 13" b) has a corrugation and its width is constant, whereas the external edge element (17a, 17b) is such that its outer face does not have any undulation and for example follows the dimension line (LC) of the gliding board. The figure 5 is a view along the half-cross section BB of the figure 11 .

According to the variant illustrated in figure 12 the edge (13a, 13b) consists at least in certain areas of two intimately connected singing elements (13'a, 13 "a-13'b, 13" b), extending longitudinally, namely an element internal edge (13 "a, 13" b) whose internal lateral face (14a, 14b) is secured to the lateral face (12a, 12b) of the core (7), and an external edge element (13'a, 13'b). It will also be noted that according to this embodiment, the inner edge element (13 "a, 13" b) has a corrugation, while the outer edge element (13'a, 13'b) is not localized. only in certain areas, to follow by its external face the side line (LC) of the gliding board. The figure 4 is a view in a cross section AA of the figure 12 while the figure 5 is a view in a cross section BB of the figure 12 . It will be noted that according to the variant of figure 12 the edge (13) consists of two edge elements (13a, 13'a) only in certain areas of the ski, such as at least a part of the zone of the shoe (2) and at least a part of the zones front (3) and rear (5).

We saw previously that the two elements of songs could be of different colors, but they could be of different materials, to see of same material but of different mechanical characteristics and for example one of the elements could be such that its material presents inclusions metal or other. Note also that the width of the two edge elements can be of the same width in a cross section, or of different width, knowing that the internal singing element will advantageously nger greater than the external element.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments described and represented by way of examples, but it also includes all the technical equivalents as well as their combinations. Thus, the height (H) of the edges could be less than the thickness (E) of the core (7). Similarly the gliding board could be asymmetrical, especially with regard to the songs.
