- A handle for opening and closing a door, such as one for an isothermal box, of the type comprising a fixed base (1), an arm (3) mounted on the base (1) pivoting between an open position and a closed position of the door, and a hook (12) pivotably mounted on the arm, between a closed position of the handle in which it engages behind a fixed retaining element (13), and an open position of the handle, the pivoting arm (3) including an end portion (24) for receiving a hinge pin (2) of the handle body and an intermediate portion (25) between said end portion (24) and the opposite end (26), which has a U-shaped transverse section and whereof the upper surface (27) and the side faces (28) have a concave shape increasing the mechanical strength of that intermediate portion, such that the mechanical biases exerted on the handle are distributed over the entire surface of the handle body (4).
- The handle according to claim 1, characterized in that a reinforcing part (33) is associated with the aforementioned intermediate portion (25), which is configured and mounted so as to increase the thickness of the wall of the body in that portion (25).
