Abstract

L'invention concerne une presse à toile double (2) servant à éliminer l'eau contenue dans une suspension de fibres et comportant une toile inférieure (8) et une toile supérieure (10) entre lesquelles est formée une bande (F) de fibres. Un agencement de rouleaux (4) comporte un premier moyen de régulation d'élimination de l'eau (22) doté d’un élément (24) d'élimination de l'eau formant une zone de ligne de contact (25) avec un premier rouleau (26) (ou un deuxième moyen de régulation d'élimination de l'eau), où l’élément et le premier rouleau (ou, en  variante, le deuxième moyen de régulation), le long d’un segment de la zone de ligne de contact où ils reposent l’un sur l’autre, sont adaptés l’un à l’autre de façon à donner un profil d’épaisseur conçu pour engendrer un profil d'élimination de l'eau, et où l’élément presse la bande formée (F) contre le premier rouleau ou, en  variante, le deuxième moyen de régulation, par l’intermédiaire des toiles, l’eau exprimée de la bande étant ainsi évacuée à travers l’élément. L'invention concerne également un procédé d'élimination de l'eau contenue dans une suspension de fibres.
