Abstract

Description

The invention relates to a cosmetic applicator according to the preamble of claim 1 and a cosmetic product comprising the cosmetic applicator.

Such a generic cosmetic applicator is from the EP 0 817 579 B1 known. The cosmetic applicator disclosed therein has a first applicator region, for example balls extruded on a wire, and a second applicator region, which may be formed, for example, as a comb applicator. The object of the invention is to develop a generic cosmetic applicator such that use of the cosmetic applicator by the user is possible without hindrance and in particular an accidental application of cosmetics, especially of mascara on areas of skin near the human eye is prevented.

Furthermore, the variability and the variety of possible applications of the applicator should be increased. Another preferably likewise to be solved object of the invention is to specify an applicator which makes it possible to wet the applicator areas with different amounts of mascara cosmetic, in particular it should be possible to exclude at least one of the applicator areas completely or almost completely from the wetting with mascara liquid. Such an applicator region which is not wetted or barely wetted should be usable as an applicator region for the fine distribution of mascara liquid onto the eyelashes.

These objects are achieved with an applicator having the features of claim 1. A cosmetic applicator according to the invention having a first applicator region and at least one further applicator region is characterized in that the applicator regions are connected to one another and to one another via a joint and / or the further applicator region is linearly displaceable relative to the first applicator region connected to the first applicator area. Such an applicator has the advantage that, when using the first applicator region, the further applicator region can be moved away from an environment in which the risk of a collision of the further applicator region with skin areas of the user that are not to be wetted exists. Secondly, this can be done alternatively or additionally by a linear displacement of the further applicator region relative to the first applicator region. For this purpose, therefore, the further (outer) applicator region can be drawn closer to the end of the first applicator region and thus the risk of a collision can be reduced. In a particular embodiment, the further applicator area can be drawn into a cavity of the first applicator area and thus completely removed from the danger area. In another particular embodiment, the further applicator region can be folded into the first applicator region, in the manner of the blade of a pocket knife, which is folded into the handle of the pocket knife when closing.

Conveniently, the hinge is designed as a hinge joint with a hinge axis, wherein the at least one further applicator region is preferably pivotable in a plane which is parallel to a longitudinal axis of the cosmetic applicator or this longitudinal axis. Such a hinge joint is typically characterized by the fact that it has two hinged parts which slide against each other.

In a further expedient embodiment, the joint between the first applicator region and the further applicator region is a ball and socket joint with a joint socket and a condyle formed. The first applicator region is expediently distally inward relative to the further applicator region, i. According to a further advantageous embodiment, the distal outer applicator region is retractable by means of a suitable mechanism in a cavity of the distal inner applicator and extendable again, so that the distal outer applicator is completely removed from a hazardous area.

As a further possible embodiment of the applicator according to the invention, the first and further applicator regions may be designed to be able to be placed in a folded-on state of the further applicator region along a longitudinal plane of the first applicator region, in particular along a longitudinal center plane of the first applicator region. In this embodiment, therefore, the first applicator region and the further applicator region are conceptually formed by a longitudinal separation plane, in particular by a longitudinal center separation plane of the cosmetic applicator.

The pivotability of the distal outer applicator region relative to the first applicator region has proven to be particularly preferred within a pivoting cone with a cone angle of 0 <α ≤ 90 °, in particular 0 <α ≤ 45 °. In an expedient refinement, the further applicator region is arranged such that it can rotate relative to the first applicator region about the longitudinal axis of the first applicator region. The connection between the first applicator region and the at least one further applicator region is preferably detachable. This makes it possible in a simple manner to make the other applicator area replaceable. Thus, there are possibilities for assigning different applicator types as a further applicator area to a first applicator or for exchanging possibly worn applicators inexpensively and simply.

In order to increase the variability of the possible use of the cosmetic applicator according to the invention, it is advisable to design the first applicator region and the at least one further applicator region differently with respect to the applicator type with regard to their application behavior. For example, it may be useful to form the first type of applicator as a groove applicator and the other applicator area as a brush applicator. Of course, also disk applicators and other known types of applicators come into question depending on the intended use. If the applicator regions are both of the brush type, the applicator regions can expediently vary with regard to the bristle density, bristle stiffnesses and bristle shapes, ie with regard to the bristle properties in general, and thus ensure increased versatility of use.

In the case of grooved applicators, it is advisable to optionally select different groove widths, groove depths or conicities and / or cross-sectional geometries of the grooves.

Furthermore, it is expedient, for example, to rigidly form the first applicator region relative to its longitudinal axis, and to form the further applicator region elastically flexible relative to its longitudinal axis. In this way, in particular a fine tuning of the cosmetic applicator to eyelashes and eye shapes of the user can be adjusted.

So that the cosmetic applicator can be handled comfortably and ergonomically favorably, it is recommended to provide a handling device by means of which the relative movement of the at least two applicator areas can be accomplished without the user having to touch the applicator areas wetted during the application with his fingers.
