Definitions
- the invention relates to a sleeve as a carrier for strip-shaped material, in particular for packaging tapes, from spirally wound layers, wherein the width of the cover layer is smaller than that of the underlying layer and extends along the longitudinal edge spaced.
- Sleeves for winding band-shaped or web-shaped material are usually tubular hollow cylinders, which are produced by winding paper layers around a fixed mandrel. The production is fully automatic in the endless process, whereby the required lengths are cut to length by a knife cutting machine.
- the sleeves are used for winding winding material, which may be filamentary, web-shaped or band-shaped material. Pods made in this way are therefore also referred to as a winding core for the aforementioned materials.
- various methods are known from the prior art to ensure attachment of the material to be wound on the sleeve surface during winding.
- a sleeve on the sleeve outer surface has a recess in which an adhesive medium is applied.
- the problem with such a sleeve is that, during storage and storage, fine and coarse dirt particles and larger objects can adhere in the region of the depression. This can be done over the entire circumference of the sleeve, because the spiral-shaped depression is formed circumferentially. In this way, a set of the winding material with its beginning on the adhesive medium cause problems, so that adhesion of the winding material on the adhesive difficult or even prevented, and thus a sufficient fixation of winding material on the surface of the sleeve can not always be guaranteed sufficient.
- the state of the art is the utility model DE 89 06 454 U1 in which a sleeve-shaped winding core for thin web-shaped winding material is disclosed. It describes that the application of Winding takes place on the sleeve-shaped winding core by means of an adhesive layer, which is applied over the entire surface as a strip on the cover sheet of the sleeve.
- the adhesive layer does not run flush on the outer surface of the cover sheet, but slightly lower than the cover sheet itself.
- a disadvantage of such a winding tube is that the adhesive surface is also affected by impurities and dust in their adhesiveness and thus a fixation of winding material on the sleeve can not always be guaranteed sufficiently.
- a winding tube on which a band-shaped adhesive tape is wound spirally.
- the adhesive strip consists of several layers, the lowest layer being a permanent adhesive which bonds the adhesive strip to the winding tube.
- a carrier material applied to the permanent adhesive is provided with a releasable adhesive on the opposite side.
- a removable protective layer is applied as the top layer, which must be removed to allow the winding of tape-shaped winding material.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a sleeve as a carrier for web-shaped winding material, which prevents contamination of the machine by parts of the adhesive layer or foreign matter from the sleeve surface and ensures an easily detachable connection of the winding material of the sleeve.
- the object is achieved in that at least one edge region of the cover layer is wetted with a releasable pressure-sensitive adhesive, which is between the cover layer and the underlying layer, so that between the cover layer and the underlying layer, a packaging tape can be inserted and fixed.
- a sleeve according to the invention has a plurality of superimposed paper or paperboard webs, which are referred to below layers and spirally wound around a mandrel. This creates a sleeve in the form of a hollow cylinder, which can be used as a hub for example, web-shaped or band-shaped material.
- the radial wall thickness of the sleeve is determined by the number of spirally wound layers.
- a spiral winding guarantees sufficient stability of the sleeve as a carrier material for the winding material.
- the width of the cover layer that is to say the last layer of the sleeve, is smaller than the latter located location.
- the circumferential surface of the underlying layer is thus no longer completely covered by the cover layer of the sleeve, while maintaining the same winding angle.
- the longitudinal edges of the cover layer run after winding spaced from one another, so that a gap is visible to the viewer along the longitudinal edges of the cover layer.
- the resulting gap runs as a distance of the longitudinal edges to each other over the entire circumference of the sleeve spirally.
- the invention provides that at least one edge region of the spaced-apart longitudinal edges of the cover layer is wetted with a pressure-sensitive adhesive. This means that the inside of the cover layer on the underlying layer, for example, is almost completely connected via a normal adhesive, while the edge region of the cover layer is only partially connected to the underlying layer via the pressure-sensitive adhesive.
- the advantage of such a configuration is that no contamination of a subsequent machine used by the belt-shaped material as a result of adhesive residues or foreign bodies, which could be detached from the exposed adhesive layer of the sleeve occurs.
- the pressure-sensitive adhesive is located between the cover layer and the underlying layer in the edge region, so that the edge region of the cover layer is covered at all times and again detachably formed, this being possible at any point of the cover layer in the edge region.
- ribbon-shaped winding material can be pushed with the winding beginning under the cover layer and is sufficiently fixed by the adhesive, wherein after at least one revolution, the winding material comes to lie one above the other and thus tightened.
- the winding material can be easily withdrawn from the machine used by the sleeve, leaving only extremely low pressure adhesive residues on the winding end.
- the cover layer centrally with a commercial adhesive for connecting the individual layers and the edge, at least one side, preferably on both sides, with a Pressure-sensitive adhesive is wetted.
- the middle area of the uppermost cover layer and the adhesive materials used ensure that the adhesion of the cover layer to the lower layers is guaranteed in each case.
- the edge region along the longitudinal edge allows a detachment of the top layer. To wrap tape-shaped material, this can be pushed in the edge region under the cover layer, this being possible in the double sense of the aforementioned embodiment, that is, a once attached winding tube can be used in each direction of rotation by the two-sided adhesive in the edge region.
- the adhesive allows in this case a subsequent pushing the tape-shaped winding material with sufficient adhesion for the Anwickelvorgang.
- the lateral edge region of the cover layer is convex, crimped or bent over to the outside.
- a band-shaped winding material in the form of a packaging tape for winding easily be guided under the top layer.
- the longitudinal edges of the cover layer can be significantly more easily lifted by the predetermined curvature, so that the winding material can be attached at any point of the outer cover layer.
- the sleeve does not require or has no slots, grooves or other stamped depressions into which the beginning of the tape must be manually inserted. Rather, the beginning of the tape under the spirally extending edge regions at any point on the sleeve without further aids (glue, tape, staple, etc.) can be fixed. An automated fixation of the tape on the sleeve is thereby easily possible.
- Another advantage of the sleeve according to the invention is that the band can be easily fixed at right angles or at any angle to the sleeve axis on the sleeve and does not have to follow the spiral inclination angle, as in the case of a possible pocket solution. It should also be mentioned as an advantage that the sleeve surface is smooth and has no bumps or similar unevenness, which can result from the punching of slots or the presence of adhesive-free insertion pockets.
- the pressure-sensitive adhesive allows a multiple detachable connection between the cover layer and the underlying layer, so that the sleeve can be used multiple times, for example, to receive the tape-shaped winding material.
- pressure-sensitive adhesive all adhesive hydrocarbon resins and styrene block copolymers are usable. Furthermore, hydrocarbon esters, polyterpene resins, terpene-phenolic resins can be used as pressure-sensitive adhesives, said list is not to be considered as complete. It is also conceivable that a pressure-sensitive adhesive is composed of a bitumen mixture in order to ensure the advantages of the sleeve according to the invention. When choosing the adhesive, it is important that this is repeatedly detachable from an existing surface, which is given in the present case by the lower layers and the top layer. By the property of the pressure-sensitive adhesive it is ensured that a multiple fixation and detachment of the winding material from the sleeve is made possible, whereby the sleeve can be fed to a multiple use.
- the cover layer has a color difference from the underlying layer of the sleeve. Due to the difference in color between the cover layer and underlying layer an automatic detection of the intended for the fixation of the winding material zone in the depression is easily possible. As a result, an introduction of the winding material is facilitated in the crimped edge portion of the cover layer of the sleeve, the color contrast between top layer and the underlying layer clearly signals a user of the sleeve according to the invention, in which area the winding material can be fixed.
- the edge area provided with a pressure-sensitive adhesive in this case has a width of 1 to 10 mm, preferably 3 to 5 mm, which can already be done a secure Anwicklung.
- FIG. 1 shows a side view of a sleeve 1 according to the invention, which consists of several spirally wound layers 3.
- a sleeve 1 which consists of several spirally wound layers 3.
- a higher paper quality is used for the top layer since the sleeve is subjected to increased stresses on its surface.
- a comprehensive selection of different paper grades is available for the processing company.
- FIG. 1 Here is a section of the sleeve 1 can be seen, which was wound from lower layers 3.
- a cover layer 2 is wound, which has a smaller width than the lower layers 3 according to the invention embodiment. While maintaining the winding angle, the cover layer 2 is thus wound onto the lower layers 3, wherein a gap 8 is formed in the edge region 7. Due to the smaller width of the cover layer 2, the lower layers 3 can thus not be completely covered and lead to the execution of the gap 8.
- the gap 8 is limited by the longitudinal edge 5 of the cover layer 2.
- the gap 8 and the longitudinal edge 5 of the upper cover layer 2 in this case runs helically over the outer circumference of the sleeve 1.
- a pressure-sensitive adhesive ensures in this case the possibility that the cover layer 2 can be lifted off the underlying layers 3 again.
- a winding material for example a packaging tape 4 with its end to slide under the cover layer 2, so as to allow the Anwickeln the packaging tape 4 on the sleeve 1.
- the edge region 7, which is wetted on the underside with the pressure-sensitive adhesive, in a further embodiment of the invention may be additionally bent or flanged outwardly, so that the supply of the packaging tape 4 is facilitated.
- the sleeve 1 of the invention can be used to at any point of the circumference of the Anwickeln of To enable packaging tape 4.
- the particular advantage of this invention is that the sleeve requires no slots or grooves or other stamped recesses, in which usually the beginning of the tape band 4 must be introduced.
- the end of the packaging tape 4 under the edge regions 7, that is pushed between the top layer 2 and the layer 3 underneath, so after example, a 360 ° rotation of the sleeve 1, the tape itself is locked and carried out the further winding process can be.
- Another advantage of the sleeve 1 of the invention is that the band can be easily fixed at right angles or at any angle to the sleeve axis on the sleeve and there is no need to comply with the helical pitch angle as in a bag solution.
- the sleeve surface of the sleeve 1 also no bumps or similar bumps, but rather is designed smooth, so that the winding material, such as the packaging tape 4, can be wound up without unwanted thickening and molding. Due to a difference in color between the top layer 2 and the underlying layers 3 an automatic detection of the receiving area is also clear and thus for the personnel to fasten the packaging tape 4, the work easier.
- FIG. 2 shows in an enlarged side view of the area of the sleeve 1 according to the invention, specifically where the packaging tape 4 is pushed under the edge portion 7.
- the cover layer 2 can thus be lifted off from the layers 3 underneath, wherein this is further facilitated by beading.

Sleeves for winding band-shaped or web-shaped material are usually tubular hollow cylinders, which are produced by winding paper layers around a fixed mandrel.
In both cases, it may also come through the adhering adhesive materials on the winding material to a malfunction in the later used machines. The ends of the winding material are unwound by adhesive adhesions, possibly with dirt particles in the further processing of the winding material and thus get into the machine, causing the malfunction may occur, with a dirtying of the machine is possible because adhesive remnants detach from the exposed adhesive layer and in the Machine can be advised. The situation is similar with foreign bodies or dirt particles, which can impair the function of the machines.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide a sleeve as a carrier for web-shaped winding material, which prevents contamination of the machine by parts of the adhesive layer or foreign matter from the sleeve surface and ensures an easily detachable connection of the winding material of the sleeve.
According to the invention, the object is achieved in that at least one edge region of the cover layer is wetted with a releasable pressure-sensitive adhesive, which is between the cover layer and the underlying layer, so that between the cover layer and the underlying layer, a packaging tape can be inserted and fixed.
A sleeve according to the invention has a plurality of superimposed paper or paperboard webs, which are referred to below layers and spirally wound around a mandrel. This creates a sleeve in the form of a hollow cylinder, which can be used as a hub for example, web-shaped or band-shaped material. The radial wall thickness of the sleeve is determined by the number of spirally wound layers. A spiral winding guarantees sufficient stability of the sleeve as a carrier material for the winding material. According to the invention, the width of the cover layer, that is to say the last layer of the sleeve, is smaller than the latter located location. Due to the smaller width of the cover layer, the circumferential surface of the underlying layer is thus no longer completely covered by the cover layer of the sleeve, while maintaining the same winding angle. Thus, the longitudinal edges of the cover layer run after winding spaced from one another, so that a gap is visible to the viewer along the longitudinal edges of the cover layer. The resulting gap runs as a distance of the longitudinal edges to each other over the entire circumference of the sleeve spirally.
For fixing a winding material on the surface of the sleeve, it is necessary that a possibility of attachment between the cover layer and the winding material is present. For this purpose, the invention provides that at least one edge region of the spaced-apart longitudinal edges of the cover layer is wetted with a pressure-sensitive adhesive. This means that the inside of the cover layer on the underlying layer, for example, is almost completely connected via a normal adhesive, while the edge region of the cover layer is only partially connected to the underlying layer via the pressure-sensitive adhesive. The advantage of such a configuration is that no contamination of a subsequent machine used by the belt-shaped material as a result of adhesive residues or foreign bodies, which could be detached from the exposed adhesive layer of the sleeve occurs. The pressure-sensitive adhesive is located between the cover layer and the underlying layer in the edge region, so that the edge region of the cover layer is covered at all times and again detachably formed, this being possible at any point of the cover layer in the edge region. As a result, for example, ribbon-shaped winding material can be pushed with the winding beginning under the cover layer and is sufficiently fixed by the adhesive, wherein after at least one revolution, the winding material comes to lie one above the other and thus tightened. When unwinding, however, the winding material can be easily withdrawn from the machine used by the sleeve, leaving only extremely low pressure adhesive residues on the winding end. In addition, it is ensured by such an embodiment that no contamination adhering to the stored sleeve and thus can not get into the processing machines.
In a particular embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the cover layer centrally with a commercial adhesive for connecting the individual layers and the edge, at least one side, preferably on both sides, with a Pressure-sensitive adhesive is wetted. The middle area of the uppermost cover layer and the adhesive materials used ensure that the adhesion of the cover layer to the lower layers is guaranteed in each case. The edge region along the longitudinal edge, however, allows a detachment of the top layer. To wrap tape-shaped material, this can be pushed in the edge region under the cover layer, this being possible in the double sense of the aforementioned embodiment, that is, a once attached winding tube can be used in each direction of rotation by the two-sided adhesive in the edge region. In both embodiments, the adhesive allows in this case a subsequent pushing the tape-shaped winding material with sufficient adhesion for the Anwickelvorgang.
In order to make the feeding of the winding material under the cover layer as simple as possible, in a further preferred embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the lateral edge region of the cover layer is convex, crimped or bent over to the outside. In this way, for example, a band-shaped winding material in the form of a packaging tape for winding easily be guided under the top layer. The longitudinal edges of the cover layer can be significantly more easily lifted by the predetermined curvature, so that the winding material can be attached at any point of the outer cover layer.
Particular advantages of the present invention in one or the other embodiment are that the sleeve does not require or has no slots, grooves or other stamped depressions into which the beginning of the tape must be manually inserted. Rather, the beginning of the tape under the spirally extending edge regions at any point on the sleeve without further aids (glue, tape, staple, etc.) can be fixed. An automated fixation of the tape on the sleeve is thereby easily possible. Another advantage of the sleeve according to the invention is that the band can be easily fixed at right angles or at any angle to the sleeve axis on the sleeve and does not have to follow the spiral inclination angle, as in the case of a possible pocket solution. It should also be mentioned as an advantage that the sleeve surface is smooth and has no bumps or similar unevenness, which can result from the punching of slots or the presence of adhesive-free insertion pockets.
Furthermore, it is provided that the pressure-sensitive adhesive allows a multiple detachable connection between the cover layer and the underlying layer, so that the sleeve can be used multiple times, for example, to receive the tape-shaped winding material.
As pressure-sensitive adhesive, all adhesive hydrocarbon resins and styrene block copolymers are usable.
In a further embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the cover layer has a color difference from the underlying layer of the sleeve.
The edge area provided with a pressure-sensitive adhesive in this case has a width of 1 to 10 mm, preferably 3 to 5 mm, which can already be done a secure Anwicklung.

The
