Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a self-winding timepiece movement comprising a frame carrying a source of mechanical energy, a rotating oscillating mass in reference to the frame along a first axis of rotation and a gear reduction gear arranged to recharge the source of mechanical energy from the movements of the oscillating mass.
  • the oscillating mass is generally integral with a segment or a ring provided with an internal toothing arranged in engagement with a first wheel of the gear reducer.
  • the patent CH 286 915 describes an example of such a movement, wherein the oscillating mass has the form of a ring provided with an unbalance and is mounted on the periphery of the movement by means of rollers.
  • the document FR 2,146,509 discloses a movement in which the oscillating weight carries a ratchet for transmission to the gear reducer.
  • the present invention defined by claim 1, has the main purpose of proposing an alternative to known automatic winding mechanisms, aimed in particular to simplify the structure and assembly.
  • the subject of the present invention is a movement for a timepiece of the type mentioned above, characterized in that the gear train comprises at least one first wheel arranged on the oscillating mass so as to be able to freely rotate relative to to the latter, along a second axis of rotation (X2) substantially parallel to the first axis of rotation (X1).
  • the gear wheel includes a second wheel coaxial with the first wheel and integral in rotation thereof, the first wheel being arranged in engagement with a fixed wheel secured to the frame while the second wheel has a kinematic connection with a third wheel. wheel of the gear reducer whose rotation is likely to cause the charge of the source of mechanical energy.
  • the ratio between, on the one hand, the gear ratio between the first wheel and the fixed wheel, and on the other hand, the gear ratio between the second wheel and the third wheel. wheel is different from 1.
  • an automatic winding mechanism is obtained, part of which is embedded, that is to say carried directly by the oscillating mass.
  • the oscillating mass is removed from the movement, the latter is directly accessible because the bridges are not encumbered by the components of the gear reducer, as is generally the case with - movements of the state of the art.
  • the fixed wheel and the third wheel are coaxial with the oscillating mass being disposed on either side of the latter.
  • the barrel shaft can advantageously be arranged to be coaxial with the oscillating mass, either in a central position with reference to the movement, or in an off-center position.
  • the present invention also relates to a timepiece comprising a movement of the type which has just been described.
  • FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a portion of a watch movement having an automatic winding mechanism according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention
  • the figure 2 represents a sectional view of the elements represented on the figure 1 , when assembled, and
  • the figure 3 represents a perspective view of the elements represented on the figure 1 , when assembled.
  • FIGS. 1 to 3 show in a simplified manner, by way of nonlimiting illustration, the only elements of a watch movement, according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, which are necessary for the understanding of the latter.
  • the figure 1 represent all of these elements in an exploded view in perspective.
  • the watch movement comprises a source of mechanical energy, illustrated here in the form of a mainspring (visible only on the figure 2 ) housed in a barrel 1 and a first end (not visible) is integral with a barrel shaft 2 while its second end (not visible) is integral with a barrel drum 3.
  • a source of mechanical energy illustrated here in the form of a mainspring (visible only on the figure 2 ) housed in a barrel 1 and a first end (not visible) is integral with a barrel shaft 2 while its second end (not visible) is integral with a barrel drum 3.
  • the barrel 1 is rotatably mounted relative to the frame of the watch movement, its shaft 2 being pivoted, on either side of the drum 3, in a first and a second element 4, 5 of the frame, which may be barrel bridges. for example.
  • a first and a second element 4, 5 of the frame which may be barrel bridges. for example.
  • One of these frame elements could alternatively be the platinum of the movement.
  • the watch movement comprises an automatic winding mechanism, here of the unidirectional type, comprising in particular an oscillating mass 8 rotatably mounted with reference to the frame of the movement by means of a ball bearing 10.
  • the ball bearing comprises a hub 11 secured to the barrel shaft, as will be more clearly apparent from the detailed description which will be exposed in connection with the figure 2 , and an outer ring 12, integral with the oscillating mass.
  • the oscillating mass has a first axis of rotation X1 which coincides with the axis of rotation of the barrel shaft 2.
  • the oscillating mass carries a satellite, of axis of rotation X2, comprising a first gear 14 located under the board of the oscillating mass on the representation of the figure 1 and a second gear 15 located on the other side of the board of the oscillating mass.
  • the two wheels 14, 15 are connected to each other by means of a screw 16 disposed in a hole adapted to the board of the oscillating mass.
  • the two wheels 14 and 15 are integral with each other in rotation.
  • the first wheel 14 is arranged to roll on the toothing of a fixed wheel 18, integral with the first frame member 4, when the oscillating mass rotates along its axis X1.
  • the fixed wheel 18 is coaxial with the oscillating mass 8.
  • the second wheel 15 is arranged to mesh with a third wheel 20, also intended to be assembled to the movement so as to pivot along the first axis of rotation X1.
  • the third wheel 20 has the shape of a ring whose inner periphery comprises a toothing 22 designed to cooperate with a device
  • the latter is composed here of an elastic ring comprising two teeth 24 diametrically opposed and each having a shape such that a rotation of the third wheel 20 in a first direction (anti-clockwise on the figure 1 ) does not cause the ring to rotate, because of a sliding of the toothing 22 on the teeth 24, while a rotation of the third wheel 20 in the second direction of rotation causes a rotation of the ring in the same direction (clockwise on the figure 1 ).
  • the ratchet device 23 is intended to be secured to a drive member 26 of the barrel shaft by means of screws not shown.
  • the drive member 26 has a generally disk-like shape in which a square central hole 27 has been provided to cooperate in rotation with a first end 28 of the barrel shaft.
  • a screw 30 makes it possible to make the driving element 26 and the hub 11 of the ball bearing integral with the barrel shaft 2, as is more clearly apparent from the figure 2 .
  • a barrel ratchet 32 is provided to cooperate with the second free end (numeral 33 on the figure 2 ) of the barrel shaft. More specifically, the barrel ratchet is integral with the barrel shaft, here by means of a screw 35, and has a kinematic connection with a conventional winding mechanism (not shown).
  • a pawl 36 is also arranged, in known manner, to act on the toothing of the barrel ratchet and prevent it from rotating counterclockwise on the ratchet. figure 1 .
  • the figures 2 and 3 represent the components of the figure 1 when they are assembled in views, respectively, in section and in perspective.
  • the automatic winding mechanism according to the present invention constitutes a stack of components on the first free end 28 of the barrel shaft 2, which is very favorable from the point of view of the bulk with reference to the mechanisms of the prior art:
  • the barrel shaft 2 pivots in a stone 37 carried by the fixed wheel 18, itself secured to the first frame member 4.
  • the barrel shaft 2 extends beyond beyond this frame member to carry the ball bearing 10, arranged in abutment against an annular shoulder 38 of the barrel shaft 2 and on which the driving element 26 rests.
  • the ball bearing 10, more precisely its hub 11, and the drive element 26 are made integral with the barrel shaft under the effect of the action of the head of the screw 30 on the element d drive, the screw 30 being screwed directly into the first free end 28 of the barrel shaft.
  • the third wheel 20 simply rests on the driving member 26 while being free to rotate relative thereto.
  • the satellite formed of the first and second wheels 14, 15 is arranged such that the wheels 14 and 15 are respectively opposite the fixed wheel 18 and the third wheel 20 to ensure their meshing.
  • the rotation of the oscillating mass 8 about the axis X1 causes a rotation of the first wheel 14 about the axis X2 because of its meshing with the fixed wheel 18.
  • the second wheel 15 is driven simultaneously in rotation which causes the rotation of the third wheel 20 about the first axis of rotation X1.
  • the ratio between, on the one hand, the gear ratio between the first wheel 14 and the fixed wheel 18, and on the other hand, the ratio gearing between the second wheel 15 and the third wheel 20 is different from 1.
  • this ratio is generally between 120 and 180 revolutions of oscillating weight in order to rotate the shaft. barrel of a turn.
  • the automatic winding mechanism according to the present invention offers simplified assembly and disassembly methods.
  • an eccentric arrangement of the oscillating mass 8 (which then has a diameter smaller than that of the movement) and the barrel, these two elements being coaxial, advantageously allows the manufacturer to benefit from great flexibility in the positioning of complications on the bridge side of the watch movement according to the present invention.
  • the skilled person may for example adapt the teaching that has just been exposed to the implementation of a bidirectional winding mechanism without departing from the scope of the present invention.
  • the third wheel 20 is arranged in engagement with two ratchet devices operating in opposite directions with respect to each other, in a conventional manner.
