Fig. 1 zeigt ein von einem Backofen 10 gebildetes Gargerät mit einem Garraum 12, wobei der Garraum 12 mit einer Tür 14 verschließbar ist. Der Backofen 10 weist eine Steuereinheit 16, eine Bedienungseinheit 18 mit Bedienelementen 20 und eine Anzeigeeinheit 22 auf und ist mit einem Garraumteiler 36 ausgestattet, der in einem betriebsbereiten Zustand im Garraum 12 angeordnet ist. Der Backofen 10 umfasst weiterhin ein an sich bekanntes, in einer Garraumdecke 26 integriertes Heizelement zur Bereitstellung einer Oberhitze und ein an sich bekanntes, in einem Garraumboden 28 integriertes, unabhängig ansteuerbares Heizelement zur Bereitstellung einer Unterhitze. Mit zwei in unterschiedlichen Höhen jeweils paarweise zu beiden Seiten des Garraums 12 angeordneten, an sich bekannten Führungselementen 34 weist der Backofen 10 eine Höhenverstellvorrichtung 32 auf, mit der der Garraumteiler 36 im Garraum 12 höhenverstellbar ist, indem er zur Veränderung einer Höhenposition in die in einer gleichen Höhe angeordneten Führungselemente 34 eingeschoben wird. Die beiden Heizelemente 40, 42 des Garraumteilers 36 sind dazu vorgesehen, voneinander unabhängig angesteuert zu werden, was durch eine Einzelkontaktierung besonders einfach realisiert werden kann (Fig. 3). Die Sensoreinheit 72 ist dazu vorgesehen, als Kenngrößen des Garraumteilers 36 elektrische Widerstandswerte zwischen den sechs Kontaktfeldern 58 in Signalen zu erfassen. Die Widerstandswerte der Widerstandselemente 60, 62, 64 des Garraumteilers 36 stellen in einer codierten Form Informationen hinsichtlich eines Vorhandenseins von Heizelementen 40, 42, eines Typs von Heizelementen 40, 42 und deren elektrischer Heizleistung bereit. Die Steuereinheit 16 ist dazu vorgesehen, die Signale der Sensoreinheit 72 auszuwerten und vergleicht dazu die Signale mit in Speicherelementen der Steuereinheit 16 hinterlegten Referenzwerten. Bei einer Feststellung einer Übereinstimmung der Signale der Sensoreinheit 72 mit den hinterlegten Referenzwerten innerhalb von in der Steuereinheit 16 ebenfalls hinterlegten Toleranzbereichen ist die Steuereinheit 16 dazu vorgesehen, aufgrund des Signals der Sensoreinheit 72 von einem Betriebsmodus in einen anderen Betriebsmodus zu wechseln und diesen Wechsel, in diesem Ausführungsbeispiel von einem herkömmlichen Backofenbetrieb mit der durch das in der Garraumdecke 26 integrierte Heizelement bereitgestellten Oberhitze und der durch das im Garraumboden 28 integrierte Heizelement bereitgestellten Unterhitze zu einem möglichen Doppelbackofenbetrieb mit unabhängig steuerbarer Oberhitze und Unterhitze in beiden Teilgarräumen 76, 78 unterhalb und oberhalb des Garraumteilers 36, durch eine Veränderung einer Darstellung der Anzeigeeinheit 22 anzuzeigen, wobei die Veränderung der Darstellung der Anzeigeeinheit 22 auch durch die Steuereinheit 16 bei dem Wechsel von einem Betriebsmodus in einen anderen Betriebsmodus vorgenommenen Veränderungen von Bedienungsmerkmalen von Bedienelementen 20 umfasst, indem ein Temperatureinstellbereich eines als Drehknopf 24 ausgebildeten Bedienelements 20 an eine Heizleistung eines Heizelements 40, 42 angepasst wird. Claims (7)

  1. Cooking device, in particular oven (10), with an operating unit (18), a display unit (22), with a cooking chamber (12), with a heating element integrated in a cooking chamber ceiling (26) for providing a top heat and an independently actuatable heating element integrated in a cooking chamber base (28) for providing a bottom heat and with at least one cooking chamber partition panel (26) arranged in the cooking chamber (12) and comprising at least one heating element (40, 42), and with
