Ein wesentlicher Vorteil des erfindungsgemäßen Befestigungselements liegt darin, dass das Befestigungselement innerhalb der Dämmstoffplatte durch das zumindest eine Widerhakenelement sicher gehalten wird. Ferner dient die Bodenplatte des erfindungsgemäßen Befestigungselements als ein Abstandhalter. Es ist bekannt, dass die marktüblichen Klebeschäume beim Zusammenpressen auf Null in sich zusammenfallen und dann ihre Klebekraft vollständig verlieren. Dies kann wiederum dazu führen, dass Dämmstoffplatten, sofern die zu starke Komprimierung des Schaums nicht bemerkt wird, nicht oder nur unzureichend mit dem Untergrund verklebt werden. Da die Bodenplatte eine gewisse Dicke aufweist, dient diese Bodenplatte insofern als Abstandhalter, da sie für einen gewissen, ausreichenden Abstand zwischen Dämmstoffplatte und dem Untergrund sorgt, so dass der zwischen Dämmstoffplatte und Untergrund angeordnete Klebeschaum nicht vollständig in sich zusammenfallen kann. Letzteres kann wiederum zu fehlenden Abständen mit nachfolgendem Zusammenfallen des Schaums führen. Selbst wenn dieses rechtzeitig vom Verarbeiter bemerkt wird, führt es zu Mehraufwand durch Neuverklebung der Dämmplatte.
