Staubsauger (1 ) mit einem durch einen Deckel (4) verschließbaren Staubsammelraum (6) und mit einer im Staubsammelraum (6) angeordneten Aufnahme (100) für einen Staubbeutel (7), wobei die Aufnahme (100) aus einer ersten, den Deckelschließweg blockierenden Stellung durch Einlegen des Beutels (7) in eine zweite, den Deckelschließweg nicht blockierenden Stellung verschwenkbar ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Lage der Aufnahme (100) in ihrer ersten und zweiten Stellung und die Anordnung des Schwerpunkts der Aufnahme (100) bezüglich der Schwenkachse (113) derart beschaffen sind, dass dann, wenn der Staubsauger (1 ) auf einer wenigstens annähernd waagerechten Standfläche (10) seine Gebrauchslage einnimmt und wenn der Staubbeutel (7) aus der Aufnahme (100) entfernt wird, die Aufnahme (100) selbsttätig von der zweiten in die erste Stellung schwenkt.
