Definitions
- the invention relates to a switchable active charge with an explosive charge, a first ignition device, a deformable insert and a holder with a plurality of distributed explosive pellets, wherein the holder is disposed within the effective charge and approximately perpendicular to the main axis of the effective charge.
- a reversible charge which, in addition to a deformable insert and a conventionally arranged ignition device, has a holder with a multiplicity of pellets stored therein.
- EFP Explosively Formed Projectile
- EFP Explosively Formed Projectile
- this object is achieved in that a further ignition device is arranged on the main axis of the active charge and in the region of the holder, and that in the weft direction at a distance a of about half to full caliber before inserting a plurality of plate-like, according to outside inclined guide devices are arranged annularly around the main axis.
- Another advantage of the invention is the fact that a switching of the active charge between the EFP and the splitter mode without mechanical interference of any component of the active charge and only by selecting the corresponding, permanently mounted ignition device takes place.
- a respective guide device corresponds with respect to its position in the weft direction with at least one splinter resulting from the ignition of a pellet from the corresponding part of the insert.
- the outer surfaces of the plate-shaped guide devices have a flat angle of attack ⁇ in the weft direction relative to the main axis.
- ⁇ angle of attack
- the scattering circle of the splitter can be set differently depending on the destination.
- the plate-shaped guide devices are flat, curved or designed to be changeable in shape.
- FIG. 1 shows simplified an embodiment of the guide device according to the invention, which is connected downstream of the axially switchable active charge 1 .
- the active charge itself has two selectively controllable ignition devices Z1, Z2.
- the first ignition device Z1 causes the generation of splinters from the insert E
- the second ignition device Z2 is required for the generation of a projectile according to the EFP mode.
- the first ignition device Z1 is positioned at the end of the active charge 1 opposite the insert E
- the second ignition device likewise lies on the main axis 3 of the active charge 1 and at the same time close to the holder H for the explosive pellets P.
- These pellets stored in the holder are for controlled generation of splinters of defined size required.
- the course of a detonation wave superposition taking place there is associated with FIG. 3 described.
- FIGS. 1a, 1b, 1c the processes of fragmentation are illustrated by means of an exemplary distribution of pellets P in the holder H.
- the FIG. 1a seven identical pellets P provided in the holder H.
- the locations of the detonation wave superimposition DWÜ caused thereby are represented. These are identical to the locations of the pressure peaks which act on the insert E and break them down into this pattern.
- the position of the guide device L according to the invention and the associated holder LH is shown by way of example.
- the holder itself is placed in the weft direction S at a certain distance a in front of the insert E.
- This distance a is dependent on several parameters such as the diameter of the active charge 1 or the curvature of the insert E. Approximately, the distance a is about the order of one-half to one caliber.
- Guide devices L are arranged approximately on a circle around the main axis 3 so that the splinters produced according to the pattern DWÜ outer splinters also hit the outside of the corresponding guide, while the splitter or fragments from the central region of the insert E unaffected by the inner space fly the bracket in the direction of firing.
- the guide L plays no role. It must only be designed so that it does not interfere with the transformation of the insert E into an EFP projectile and that its axis of flight is not obstructed.
- the initiation in the EFP mode takes place by means of the ignition device Z2, which is arranged in the region of the holder H on the main axis 3.
- the unhindered propagation of the detonation wave DW1 leads to the deformation of the insert and to the formation of the projectile EFP.
- FIG. 3 the activation of the splitter mode is shown.
- a part of the generated splitter SPL impinges on the outer surface of the guide devices L.
- the middle splitter or splitter SPLM remains unmolested by the guide device L in a manner similar to the projectile EFP described above.
- Only the outer edge splitter SPL meet the guide devices L.
- the individual parts of the guide L have a relatively shallow angle ⁇ to the direction of flight of the splitter SPL. This causes a ricochet effect.
- This means that the splinters impinging on the guide device are reflected in the order of magnitude of the angle of incidence to the surface of the guide device L and thus receive an approximately equal failure angle.
- This is in the FIG. 3 shown simplified by the arrows 5. It is known that the decrease in speed due to this reflection at flat angles of incidence and suitable materials of the guide devices L is very low and in no way impairs the efficiency of the splinters.
- the angle of incidence or the design of the guide devices L determines the reflection behavior and thus also the reflection angle.
- the number, arrangement and size of the individual guiding devices L within the control system must be harmonized with the pellet pattern.
- FIG. 4 For example, some pellet structures are shown.
- the sub-figure 4a shows a relatively simple pattern with only five evenly distributed over the holder H pellets P.
- the sub-figures 4b, 4c and 4 d then show more complex patterns, each with a higher number of pellets P.
- by means of the arrangement can be predetermined whether the Number of edge splitter SPL becomes larger or smaller.
- the middle splitter SPLM run anyway unhindered through the center of the guide L.
- the width W of the central opening in the holder LH of the guide devices L can be appropriately dimensioned within wide limits.
- FIG. 5 shows by way of example two different embodiments of brackets LH and Leitvorraumen L.
- the system shown on the left works with the ricochet effect.
- the angle of attack ⁇ of the respective guide device L relative to the trajectory of the corresponding splitter determines the angle of departure and thus ultimately the target area in the target.
- the guide devices L can also be movably mounted, so that the angle ⁇ can be changed by means of a controlled adjustment and, correspondingly, the hit area can be increased or decreased.
- FIG. 5 In the right half of the FIG. 5 is another principle of a guide L shown.
- it is proposed to buckle the baffle outward so that the splitter is initially quite flat on the outer surface of the baffle Guide devices incident and thus not ricochet Schl.
- the curvature of the guide increases with increasing length, so that the splinters slide along the surface and finally leave the guide L at a larger angle ⁇ .
- the FIG. 6 exemplifies different target areas on the basis of the aforementioned exemplary pellet pattern FIG. 1 ,
- the target area TF on the target ZI is a function of the deflection angle ⁇ and, of course, the distance of the effective charge from the target.
- the hit area is shown once with and once without the effect of a guide. Without a guide, only the distance to the target remains as a parameter to vary the hit area. Too large distances, however, have a negative effect, since the splinters are braked by the air resistance and their performance thus decreases with increasing distance.
- the guide L significantly increases the flexibility over the deflection angle.
- the hit area can thus be adjusted immediately before the target to be attacked on its current target area.

Description

In
