Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a piston for a cartridge with a cylindrical or cylindrical tube-like base body which can be inserted into a cartridge and along the cylinder axis in a cartridge is displaced and a corresponding cartridge for receiving and storing liquid, powdered or pasty masses and a system from a corresponding cartridge and a tool for moving the piston in the cartridge
  • Cartridges for receiving liquid, pasty or powdery masses have long been known for a variety of applications in the art.
  • Examples of these are two-component adhesives, in which the components are stored separately and mixed together during application in order to start appropriate curing processes.
  • Such cartridges have different designs, such as so-called.
  • Side-by-side forms in which the receiving spaces are arranged side by side, or coaxial cartridges, in which the receiving chambers are arranged coaxially with each other.
  • the piston should be simple and easy to manufacture.
  • the cartridge or the piston to ensure a secure seal with long storage safety. The closing process should be possible effectively and in a simple manner.
  • a piston which has a cylindrical or cylindrical tube-like basic body.
  • the piston comprises at least one sealing lip which seals against a sealing surface which runs parallel or at least at an acute angle to the cylinder longitudinal axis of the piston or the cartridge.
  • the sealing lip is designed in such a way that, when the cartridge is closed with the piston, it is closed by means of a seal at one end. te of the piston attacking tool can be lifted from the sealing surface, so that air can escape from the cartridge through the resulting gap.
  • the sealing lip which can be actuated by means of a tool that can be attacked by the end face, provides a simple and at the same time very effective venting possibility.
  • the sealing lip can be arranged so that it at least partially performs a movement transversely to the cylinder longitudinal axis when lifted from the sealing surface. Contrary to the known from the prior art valves that perform a movement usually parallel to the cylinder longitudinal axis of the cartridge, this allows a simple and secure seal after closing the cartridge and a simple operation for venting. The storage stability of the system is thereby improved because the well-known in valve systems problem of leakage of valve pin is avoided during prolonged storage.

  • this may be effected by forming a pocket adjacent to the sealing lip into which the tool can engage, the pocket being formed such that deformation of the pocket is caused by the engagement of the tool causing the sealing lip to lift off.
  • This can be effected for example by a corresponding shape of the pocket, for example by an inclined surface, which leads to a compression of the piston.
  • Other interactions of the tool with the piston are conceivable, the go beyond an elastic deformation and concomitant movement of the sealing lip.
  • the piston can also be designed so that when closing the Aufhah- meraums the resulting air cushion and the associated air pressure lead to a deformation of the piston, which favors the formation of a gap for the escape of air, while the concerns in the receiving space to be absorbed mass, the sealing effect is enhanced.
  • This can be effected for example by a corresponding shaping of the sealing lip, for which a non-sealing position is favored by the air flow during closing and the corresponding air cushion in front of the piston, while in the static storage of a recorded in the receiving space mass, the sealing position of the sealing lip is favored.
