Definitions
- the present invention relates to a piston for a cartridge with a cylindrical or cylindrical tube-like base body which can be inserted into a cartridge and along the cylinder axis in a cartridge is displaced and a corresponding cartridge for receiving and storing liquid, powdered or pasty masses and a system from a corresponding cartridge and a tool for moving the piston in the cartridge
- Cartridges for receiving liquid, pasty or powdery masses have long been known for a variety of applications in the art.
- Examples of these are two-component adhesives, in which the components are stored separately and mixed together during application in order to start appropriate curing processes.
- Such cartridges have different designs, such as so-called.
- Side-by-side forms in which the receiving spaces are arranged side by side, or coaxial cartridges, in which the receiving chambers are arranged coaxially with each other.
- the piston should be simple and easy to manufacture.
- the cartridge or the piston to ensure a secure seal with long storage safety. The closing process should be possible effectively and in a simple manner.
- a piston which has a cylindrical or cylindrical tube-like basic body.
- the piston comprises at least one sealing lip which seals against a sealing surface which runs parallel or at least at an acute angle to the cylinder longitudinal axis of the piston or the cartridge.
- the sealing lip is designed in such a way that, when the cartridge is closed with the piston, it is closed by means of a seal at one end. te of the piston attacking tool can be lifted from the sealing surface, so that air can escape from the cartridge through the resulting gap.
- the sealing lip which can be actuated by means of a tool that can be attacked by the end face, provides a simple and at the same time very effective venting possibility.
- the sealing lip can be arranged so that it at least partially performs a movement transversely to the cylinder longitudinal axis when lifted from the sealing surface. Contrary to the known from the prior art valves that perform a movement usually parallel to the cylinder longitudinal axis of the cartridge, this allows a simple and secure seal after closing the cartridge and a simple operation for venting. The storage stability of the system is thereby improved because the well-known in valve systems problem of leakage of valve pin is avoided during prolonged storage.
- the sealing lip may in particular run at an acute angle to the cylinder longitudinal axis or a component of the piston provided in parallel thereto or be arranged correspondingly.
- the sealing lip can perform a pivoting movement in the lifting movement, in which the acute angle is reduced accordingly.
- the pivoting movement can be realized by elastic deformation. After removal of the tool, the sealing lip can rest again by an elastic restoring force against the corresponding sealing surface and provide by the elastic restoring force sufficient contact pressure available.
- the tool can engage directly on the sealing lip or, alternatively, cause other elastic deformation of the piston or parts thereof, which causes a corresponding movement of the sealing lip from a sealing state to a non-sealing state and vice versa.
- this may be effected by forming a pocket adjacent to the sealing lip into which the tool can engage, the pocket being formed such that deformation of the pocket is caused by the engagement of the tool causing the sealing lip to lift off.
- This can be effected for example by a corresponding shape of the pocket, for example by an inclined surface, which leads to a compression of the piston.
- Other interactions of the tool with the piston are conceivable, the go beyond an elastic deformation and concomitant movement of the sealing lip.
- the piston can also be designed so that when closing the Aufhah- meraums the resulting air cushion and the associated air pressure lead to a deformation of the piston, which favors the formation of a gap for the escape of air, while the concerns in the receiving space to be absorbed mass, the sealing effect is enhanced.
- This can be effected for example by a corresponding shaping of the sealing lip, for which a non-sealing position is favored by the air flow during closing and the corresponding air cushion in front of the piston, while in the static storage of a recorded in the receiving space mass, the sealing position of the sealing lip is favored.
- the sealing lip can be arranged on the outside of the cylinder or in the case of a cylindrical tube-like base body, that is to say a basic body with a ring structure, on the inside of the tube or the inside of the ring, so that the sealing lip can cooperate with a wall of the corresponding receiving space as a sealing surface.
- the corresponding sealing lip can be provided circumferentially.
- this also applies to other cylinder structures with square, rectangular or other polygonal bases.
- the piston may also have a cover plate, which is arranged on the end face of the base body, which is provided in the cartridge in the direction of the receiving space, ie in the direction of the cartridge interior.
- a cover plate may serve to cover the main body of the piston from the mass stored in the receiving space, which may be chemically very reactive.
- the cover plate may be formed of a different material than the body of the piston to have a corresponding resistance to the chemically active material in the receiving space. This makes it possible to select the materials according to the required property profiles for the main body and the cover separately.
- the main body of the piston may be formed of a softer, more elastic material, while the cover body may be formed of a softer, more elastic material.
- plate can be formed from a hard material.
- the cover plate may be formed of polyamide.
- cover plate can also be used to form a venting device, wherein the sealing lip is part of the venting device.
- the cover plate may be formed so that the sealing lip is protected from contact with the mass received in the receiving space, so that when the sealing lip is open, no mass can escape through the correspondingly formed gap.
- the cover may have a sealing element adjacent to the sealing lip.
- the cover plate may further provide a sealing surface against which seals the sealing lip, for example, if no seal against a wall of the receiving space is possible or desired.
- the cover plate usually has a structure similar to the piston main body
- a U- or U-ring-shaped structure may be formed in which a circumferentially provided in the direction of the cylinder longitudinal leg engage in a corresponding recess of the body and thereby may be connected to the body.
- the connection can be produced in that the leg of the cover plate has latching elements which correspond with latching elements of the base body.
- the leg of the cover plate may surround the base body at least on one side, so that the leg comes to rest on the inside of the receiving space.
- the leg preferably engages in a recess in the base body so that it is spaced from the inside of the receiving space.
- different variants can be realized on the outside and inside.
- a circumferential leg on the cover plate with a corresponding recess in the piston main body and a reverse construction can be selected or it can also be seen more connecting parts for locking and plug connections or other types of connections between body and cover.
- a cover plate which covers substantially the entire cross-section of the receptacle. meraums the cartridge covered at least have a Vietnamese manufactorsöfftiung. Preferably, a plurality of Vietnamese manufactorsöffhungen be provided.
- the air passage openings may be provided in particular spaced from the sealing lip of the base body, so that the air must travel a distance through at least one air duct between Vietnamese mangangsöffhung the cover plate and the sealing lip of the body during the vent. Accordingly, at least one, preferably a plurality of air ducts may be provided between the basic body of the piston and the cover plate, in which the air is guided during the venting.
- Such a measure has the advantage that the air passage opening and / or the air duct can be formed so that although air or other gaseous substances can pass through, but no liquid, pasty or powdery substances, such as the mass taken in the receiving space is, represents. This is a so-called. Filter section is given, which prevents the recorded mass in the receiving space can escape during contact with the piston. In the closed state, the sealing lip is additionally a protection against the unwanted escape of the mass received in the receiving space.
- the air passage opening may preferably be provided on the outside of the cylinder or cylinder tube-like basic shape or the pipe inside or in the middle of the cover plate, wherein the sealing lip as far as possible from the air passage opening on the pipe inside or in the middle of the cover plate or on the outside of the cylinder or cylinder tube-like basic shape of the piston can be provided.
- the air passage opening may be provided on the outside of the cylindrical or cylinder tube-like basic shape of the cover plate, while the sealing lip for generating a vent then provided on a cylinder tube-like basic shape on the tube inside or in a simple cylindrical basic shape in the middle of the cover plate on the piston can be.
- the cover plate can provide a corresponding sealing surface by means of a sleeve projecting in the direction of the main body or a pipe stub.
- the corresponding venting devices can be formed by a sealing lip on the piston main body or by at least one air passage opening on a cover plate of the piston.
- a venting device may be formed by at least two venting devices and an air duct provided therebetween.
- a tool which actuates the sealing lip during displacement of the piston in the cartridge.
- a tool may be formed by a rod having on one of its end faces a tubular extension for cooperation with a sealing lip or a receiving pocket.
- Pipe-like extension here means that it may be a circular cylinder tube extension or a cylinder tube extension with a corresponding square, rectangular or other polygonal basic shape, according to the formation of the sealing lip and the corresponding piston.
- the tube extension may be formed as an outer tube extension, in which, in accordance with the diameter of the rod, a continuation takes place in tube form, for example for actuating a provided on the outer circumference of a cylinder-like piston sealing lip. If the sealing lip is arranged in an inner region, the tube extension can also have a smaller diameter than the rest of the rod cross-section.
