Description

The invention is concerned with the problem of the separation of belt members after the firing of the ammunition transported therein by a weapon.

Belt members are known for example from the DE 10 2004 035 634 A1 , In these munitions are supplied to a weapon. With the help of a part of a closure, the ammunition is then pushed into the barrel, the belt members transported on. In some embodiments, the strap members are connected by the ammunition contained therein so that they fall apart when the ammunition leaves the strap member. In other embodiments, the belt members remain connected to each other via hooks and eyes.

From the EP 1 985 960 A1 is a separation device for belt members known, which is involved at the end of a munitions feed and the belt members to split after the firing of ammunition. The device has two elastically mounted tongues above and a rail below the belt members. The empty belt links are brought against the upper tongues. These push right or left of the joint, that is, on the outer edges of the belt members to be released, so that within the joint, the front belt member is raised to the rear along the rail. This releases the connection or the hook of the front member slips out of the eye of the rear belt member (or vice versa). The severed belt member falls down. The tabs are designed as elongated spring elements. A retaining tongue supports the rotation of the belt member.

In this separation device must be ensured that the belt member is always rotated so far that a release by the weight of the front belt member is always guaranteed.

US 2,803,169 A discloses a deboning device having a spring-loaded lever arm which acts on the belt member to be entgurtte such that the eyelet of the belt member is pushed out of the hook. The released belt member then slips along a surface against an ejector shoulder and is ejected.

The invention has the object to show a further separation device for belt members, with a secure release of the belt members to be guaranteed.

The problem is solved by the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments are listed in the subclaims.

The invention is based on the idea to carry out the separation in the region of the junction directly by a separator incorporated in this area and a (Aus-) control curve for the belt members, along which the belt members out and thereby levered, that is detached from each other.

For this purpose, a lower guide and an upper guide is provided in this area. The lower guide is matched to the width of the connection point, that is to the width of the hooks and eyes, and is preferably formed by two tongue-like rails or the like. They are elastic in the region of the separation of the belt members and then running down. A simple and possibly wider rail in the same area of the upper guide is also conceivable. The upper guide is preferably made of a spring, in which the control cam for guiding the / to be separated belt member (r) is involved. The width of the spring is preferably equal to the width of the hooks and eyes, but may also be narrower or wider than this connection point.

In continuation of the invention, it is provided to incorporate an ejection device, which in turn throws the separated belt members in a collecting device or removes. The simplest form of the ejector is a prestressable spring.

The problem here is that the weapons that use belt members for feeding the ammunition shoot even with high cadence. Therefore, the biasing of the spring to this cadence is at least partially tuned, so at least after a predetermined number of separate belt members (at least one, preferably two or three) these are thrown out or thrown away. In a preferred embodiment, the preloading is primarily supported by a motor. Especially with single shot while the engine must be able to go through. This can be done by a known safety clutch that disconnects the engine from the load when there is no load, but does not drive the engine itself with special needs. Alternatively, a chain with flexible members may bias the spring or a hydraulic, pneumatic or magnetic device may be provided.

Reference to an embodiment with drawing, the invention will be described in more detail.

In Fig. 1 1 is a separator for belt members 2 ( Fig. 1a ), which are connected to each other via hooks 3 / eyelets 4 and serve for the transport and the support of ammunition 5. The separation device 1 is integrated at the end of the ammunition supply 6 and preferably has a housing 7 with a plate 8, through which the device 1 can be attached to a weapon, not shown. To guide the belt members 2, two tongues 10, 11 are preferably mounted below the belt members 2 in the housing 7. The upper guide is used for the actual separation of the belt members 2 and is formed by a specially shaped spring 12. This is matched to the width of the hook 3 / eyelets 4 and approximately as wide as this joint 13. In the spring 12 is incorporated a control cam 13 for cutting. The control cam 13 itself is matched to the shape of the belt members 2. She owns, as in Fig. 2 shown, angular passages and at the end 14 a curved area. The special shape of the spring 12 allows the separation of the hooks 3 and 4 eyelets.

The function is as follows:
  • The hook 3 is blocked at the rear end 14 of the control cam 13 of the spring 12, wherein the bent end 14 slides into the half round of the belt member 2. The belt member 2 is pushed down along the curved end 14 of the control cam 13 in this area, the connecting part or area, so that the spring 12 presses in this area and now conveys the hook 3 out of the eyelet 4 out. The separate belt member 2 falls on a plane (23), not shown here, below the separating device 1.

In Fig. 3 schematically an ejection or disposal device 20 is shown, which consists of a motor 21 and a biasable spring 22 here. This is tensioned for example as a function of the firing cadence by the motor 21, wherein the spring 22 does not have to push away after each separation of the belt members 2. In order to make the motor 21 continue to run while the tensioned spring 22 carries the separate belt member (s) 2, the motor 21 is provided with a safety clutch (not shown).

Such safety clutches are, for example, from the company. R + W drive elements GmbH (http://www.rw-kupplungen.de/kupplungen-gelenkwellen/index. Php) and obtainable, for example, in detail in the DE 10 2006 050 995 A1 described.

In Fig. 4 shown (D M = torque, Dw M = rotation angle of the motor 21), thus results in the following functional sequence for tensioning the spring 22:
  • The motor 21 is constantly energized. In its first, adjustable rotation angle range, it biases the spring 22 until the clutch reaches its stop. The clutch itself now releases the shaft of the motor 21, so that the motor 21 can continue to rotate, but this time of idling to relax (release) of the spring 22 can be used. The motor 21 is functionally disconnected from the spring tension. After completion of the set wider angle range, the clutch engages the shaft of the motor 21 again, a new cycle begins. The frequency of the cycles depends on the cadence of the weapon.

It is understood that the tensioning device is not limited to a motorized version. Thus, the tensioning of the spring 22 can also be effected by means of chains and flexible members, hydraulically, pneumatically or magnetically.
