Abstract

L'invention porte sur un procédé de production d'un composant à finition immédiate ou à finition presque immédiate à partir d'une poudre métallique. Le procédé consiste à produire un insert de dimensions précises correspondant aux dimensions d'un alésage à créer dans le composant fini, l'alésage ayant une longueur d'au moins 750 mm ; à supporter l'insert dans une cavité de moule ; à remplir la cavité de moule avec la poudre métallique ; à soumettre la poudre à une compression isostatique ; et à retirer ultérieurement le matériau de l'insert. Le moule peut être un moule indépendant retiré après une étape initiale pour lier la poudre en une préforme ; la préforme est ensuite encapsulée dans un confinement approprié, tel qu'une boîte métallique ou un revêtement pulvérisé. L'insert peut être un insert métallique en matériau apte à être ultérieurement éliminé par attaque chimique, tel que le cuivre. L'insert peut être revêtu d'un matériau apte à être retiré par attaque et à permettre à l'insert d'être extrait. Un insert métallique peut être revêtu d'un matériau qui fournit une barrière à la diffusion pour prévenir la diffusion de l'insert par diffusion atomique dans la poudre consolidée durant une compression isostatique à chaud.
