Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Kontaktanordnung für Schwachstromanwendungen. The invention relates to a contact arrangement for low-current applications.

There is a need for special contact arrangements for low power applications, particularly in electrical appliances or electrical circuits formed with electronic controls. Auxiliary or signal switch contacts in such applications switch only very small currents (<1 A), with low control voltages, for example up to 60 V. For low currents, for example less than 100 mA, materials with low intrinsic resistance (gold, silver, copper) are preferred used; not least because of the oxide formation in less noble metals.

Metallic abrasion of the contacts leads to the disadvantage that fine-grained particles easily oxidize and deteriorate the contact or the contact material itself forms a non-conductive oxide. To avoid or reduce the formation of oxide, dirt deposits on the contact surfaces and to reduce the wear of the contact surfaces bridge contacts are provided with spray oil mist. The use of such contact arrangements, which go back to standard contacts used previously, are therefore no longer appropriate for various reasons.

Contact pieces are known from the prior art, which can be produced from coal, graphite or graphite metal mixtures ( DE 844 197 B . DE 20 2005 015 319 U1 ), or in which the materials of the contact pairing are metallic and electrographite ( DD 242 767 B1 . GB 933 239 A ). The invention relates to a contact arrangement comprising at least one fixed contact made of copper and a longitudinally movable contact with a contact bridge carrying the contact pieces. The contacts of the longitudinally movable contact are made of silver graphite ( DE 1049472 AS). Another example of contact mating is from the US-A-1785618 known. It is therefore the object of the invention to present a further development of contact arrangements with contacts formed from carbon material for low-current applications.

The object is achieved by the features of the independent claim, while the dependent claims advantageous developments of the invention can be found.

The core of the invention is that the electrical contact arrangement for low-current applications comprises:
  • two fixed contacts made of a first contact material,
  • a movable contact which can be brought into the closed and open position with the fixed contacts, wherein the moving contact bridging the fixed contacts consists of a contact holder and at least one contact piece of a second contact material,
  • a contact holder carrying the at least one contact piece on the moving contact, wherein the moving contact can be longitudinally movably actuated on the fixed contacts,
wherein a material pairing of the contact-making elements is provided such that the first contact material consists of a metallic conductor material, preferably of a copper or silver alloy and the second contact material has a composition which comprises at least 70 wt .-% and at most 100 wt .-% Carbon material is made, and that the moving contact at least one of the fixed contacts bridging contact piece is present. In the following, when graphite is used, this designation generally refers to one of the carbon materials used. In particular, isostatically pressed graphite (also known by the name iso-graphite) is preferably proposed for the contact pieces.

The contact arrangement is primarily a lift-off or bridge contact, comprising the at least one contact piece and a contact holder carrying the at least one contact piece.

Obwohl Kontakte aus Kohlenstoffwerkstoff einen erhöhten Innenwiderstand aufweisen (im Vergleich zu metallischen Kontakten) haben die vorgeschlagenen Kontaktanordnungen technische und wirtschaftliche Vorteile bei Signal- und Hilfsschalterkontakten mit Steuerströmen von < 1 A und Steuerspannungen bis < 60 V. Zum Beispiel bildet Kohlenstoff keine Oxide an seiner Oberfläche, und wenn dann entsteht nur flüchtiges CO2,Although contacts made of carbon material have an increased internal resistance (compared to metallic contacts), the proposed contact arrangements have technical and economic advantages in signal and auxiliary switch contacts with control currents of <1 A and control voltages up to <60 V. For example, carbon does not form oxides on its surface , and then when only volatile CO 2 is produced ,

Experiments have shown that massive contacts made of carbon material do not break when switching signal currents (24 V, max 1A). Solid contacts made of carbon material have low mass (thus also low bounce behavior, thus faster readiness for signal transmission). Spray oil mist is not necessary since an increase in contact resistance during operation does not occur. The contacts are more economical because no precious metal or copper is used. Carbon material contacts are lighter than metal contacts. The moving contact thus has a smaller mass that has to be moved and braked by the drive. Carbon material as abrasion can lubricate the contacting parts. The fact that the abrasion remains conductive and does not oxidize, it does not reduce the contact. Welding or gluing the contacts is prevented by graphite. Mechanical guides and sliding surfaces in the contact apparatus are additionally lubricated by graphite abrasion and the sliding properties are not degraded as with metal abrasion. A contact point may consist of a conventional AgNi contact. The other contact point is provided with carbon material. The AgNi contact may be corrugated and soldered, welded or riveted to the contact holder. The contact of carbon material may consist of a round rod, a cuboid or a small plate, which is glued with graphite adhesive on the contact holder.

Weitere Ausführungsformen finden sich in folgendem:Further embodiments can be found in the following:

The second contact material may consist of 70 wt .-% or more carbon material and a balance of metal powder. Such a composition is also called metal graphite or called metal-impregnated, for its production, mixtures of metal powders, in particular copper, tin or lead, with graphite, in particular natural graphite, pressed and then solidified by annealing or sintering. The second contact material may also be made completely (100% by weight) of carbon material. There is material for mechanical sealing of contacting contact surfaces, wherein the sealing material consists of several thin layers of pure graphite, and the graphite layers are bonded together with adhesive layers. Such layered carbon materials are also counted among the applications of the invention.

At least one of the contact elements (on the fixed contact or on the moving contact) can be provided with a corrugation or grooves. Corrugations should also be present on the associated contact-making elements, preferably in such a way that the corrugations on the correspondingly assigned contact elements have an orientation rotated by 90 ° relative to one another.

The contact arrangement preferably has two fixed contacts, wherein the fixed contacts at least one contact piece of carbon material bridging the fixed contacts is assigned.

The or the contact piece (s) is / are attached to the contact bridge, with adhesive joints or mechanical brackets in question. The material of the contact bridge may be metallic, ie conductive or insulating. Since at least one contact piece used is, which lies with its entire length on the contact bridge and bridges the fixed contacts in the closed state of the contact arrangement, the material of the contact bridge can also be an electrical insulator.

The at least one contact piece may be formed as a round rod or as a cuboidal plate. The rods may be formed as a solid cylinder or as a half cylinder. In a half cylinder, the flat side of the half cylinder would be usable as an adhesive surface.

The at least one contact piece can be fastened to the contact bridge with at least one clip.

Contact pieces, in particular those in the form of round rods, may be held in sockets on or in the contact bridge.

In the contact arrangement, the contact holder and the at least one contact piece of the moving contact can be formed in one piece. Thus, contact holder and contact piece form a unit that can be connected to each other for example by gluing. In particular, it can proceed that the carbon material of contact holder and contact piece has a uniform composition. In the latter case, the invention assumes that the moving contact is machined (milled out) from a single piece of material of uniform composition.

The contact holder and / or the at least one contact piece should have a contour in the form of a rectangle in a plane perpendicular to the actuating direction of the contact arrangement. It can be formed on the parallel to the distance of the fixed contacts extending longitudinal sides of the rectangle formations that serve as a target or attack points for guides, brackets and / or attachments.

On the contact holder or on the contact piece may be formed a fastening of Kontaktandruckfedern or actuating tappets serving, cylindrical pin. The pin lies centrally on the contact holder or the contact piece and extends, projecting from the surface of the contact holder or the contact piece parallel to the actuating direction of the contact arrangement.

The features of the invention may be formed individually or together in various developments.

Further details and advantages of the invention will be explained with several embodiments with reference to figures. They show in detail
  • Fig. 1 a contact bridge made entirely of carbon material,
  • FIGS. 2A and 2B a contact bridge with cuboidal plate or round sticks,
  • Fig. 3 a contact bridge with a contact piece held with fixing clips,
  • Fig. 4 : a contact bridge with a contact piece as a round rod and
  • Fig. 5 : a contact bridge with a plate-shaped contact piece held in the contact bridge.

The figures each show views of moving contacts T. The moving contacts comprise at least one of the stationary contacts FK (see Fig. 1 ) associated contact piece. The stationary contacts may be below or above a moving contact.

The contacts KQ, KS made of carbon material are drawn with hatching. They are held by a contact holder H or can be glued by means of graphite adhesive.

In the figures, side views are additionally drawn (each below) from the front and (respectively right) of the page. The (two) stationary contacts are bridged by the movable contact under the pressure of a spring means or kept open by a return element (contact plunger). Reset elements (such as springs), which bring the moving contact in contact position with the fixed contacts, however, are not shown. The contact arrangement can be actuated by a contact plunger, wherein the actuation of the moving contact can take place against the restoring force of a return element or against the pressing force of a spring means.

With reference numeral FF guides in the form of short, cylindrical pins are shown, which are intended to serve the holder and / or the attachment of Kontaktandruckfedern or actuating tappets.

The contact bridges (also the contact holders or the contact pieces) generally have the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped. On the longer sides of the rectangular shape semicircular notches S may be formed as guide grooves, which also serve as attack points or surfaces for brackets and / or attachments in addition to the cylindrical pin FF.

Fig. 4.In Fig. 1 a contact bridge (moving contact) is shown, which is completely - so the carrier form and the edge formation - made of carbon material. The entire moving contact, thus contact holder H and contact piece KQ, KS are formed by a single cuboid body made of carbon material in the length of the moving contact. Thus eliminates a fastening, or gluing process of the contact piece KQ, KS at the contact bridge. The contact piece in the integrally formed moving contact can also - unlike in Fig. 1 be designed round (as a half or full cylinder): see. Fig. 4 ,

The Fig. 2A shows a contact bridge, in the full length (aligned parallel to the fixed contacts) applied a plate KQ made of carbon material, for example, is glued. The contact holder H can also be formed of an insulating material in such an arrangement. In the side view 2B an arrangement is shown in the drawing, in which two round rods KS are present parallel to each other, which are taken for example by a contact holder or glued to the contact holder. The round rods each bridge the fixed contacts and can be used as a solid cylinder or as a semi-cylinder KS (as in Fig. 2B ) be formed. In the latter embodiment, the flat side of the half-cylinder can be used as an adhesive surface for attachment to the contact holder.

The FIGS. 3, 4 and 5 each show an arrangement in which the at least one contact piece has a greater length than the contact holder H. The contact piece projects beyond the contact holder on both sides.

In Fig. 3 A method of attachment by means of two mounting brackets B for a small plate KQ made of carbon material is shown.

With Fig. 4 an embodiment of a contact bridge is presented, in which a round rod KS made of carbon material is attached to the contact bridge with a contact holder H made of plastic. This completely eliminates adhesive bonds and associated contact resistance.

In the Fig. 5 is - comparable to Fig. 2 - A cuboidal plate KQ of carbon material accommodated in the contact bridge T, wherein the length of the plate KQ is greater than the length of the contact holder, so that the plate KQ the contact holder (also) surmounted on both sides. It is indicated by dashed lines that the plate can have different widths. Such a contact holder made of plastic - after Fig. 5 - Can be made for example by molding the small plate KQ.
