Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a cup anti-rotation of electrical distributor with at least one beam temporarily maintained prior to the final assembly of the cup and its mounting method.
  • the present invention relates to an anti-rotation cup dispenser electrical receiving at least one beam, the beam being previously mounted and temporarily held on the cup before its final working position, said cup further having a possibility subsequent adaptation to receive additional beam (s).
  • a cup dispenser for receiving the respective pod of several electrical harnesses, these pods being stacked by being oriented differently to allow a saving of space, while ensuring the anti-rotation of each electrical harness.
  • a major difficulty for such a distributor occurs during its final assembly operation, for fixing the electrical contact members in the anti-rotation cup, which causes a loss of time during assembly during this fixing.
  • This pre-assembly can advantageously be modified in order to guarantee the addition of one or additional electrical bundles before or after its final placement.
  • the state of the art is oriented towards the use of an electrical distributor with an anti-rotation cup having a central pin for receiving and temporarily holding one or more electrical contact members supported by the cup, this peg being removable during the final establishment of the assembly.
  • the document US-2006/239794 presents an electrical distributor with a cup for stacking, prior to final assembly, the electrical contact members to be assembled.
  • Way to prior maintenance and assembly assistance to facilitate the assembly of the dispenser in the vehicle consists of a central pin fixed on the cup and can be removed during final fixing, the pin can be reused for another operation of prior maintenance.
  • the mounting aid device described in this document comprises, in addition to the central pin, a mounting plate capping at its upper part, which complicates the manufacture of said device.
  • this mounting plate is provided with securing means with the distributor.
  • the pin is inserted by being introduced from above into them. This can be problematic when the body or the electrical contact members are no longer properly centered in the electrical distributor, this occurring for example during an inadvertent movement thereof or one of these.
  • the problem underlying the present invention is to design an anti-rotation cup for an electrical distributor for receiving an electrical harness with at least one conductive cable ensuring its temporary maintenance prior to fixing the cup in the final position mounting, this by means of a single piece allowing easy placement of the beam in the temporary holding position and easy release of this maintenance during the final assembly of the cup.
  • the invention relates to an anti-rotation cup for a distributor of at least one electrical harness comprising at least one cable with at its end an electrical contact member, this cup being intended to be fixed against a set of reception, said beam being held by a centering jig in this cup temporarily prior to the attachment thereof against the assembly, characterized in that the centering jig is in the form of a rod having its first end secured to the cup by means of joining which can be broken and a second end remote from the cup and free access for the insertion of or contact members of said beam around it.
  • the invention also relates to an electrical distributor comprising at least one beam with such an anti-rotation cup, this cup forming its base.
  • the invention furthermore relates to a method of mounting an anti-rotation cup of an electric dispenser against a receiving assembly, this dispenser having at least one electrical bundle comprising at least one cable with at its end a electrical contact, this method comprising a first step of preliminary and temporary holding of the beam in said cup by a centering jig, a second step of release of this holding for the final position of assembly of the cup on said set and a third fixing step of the cup against the receiving assembly, characterized in that the first step comprises the displacement of or contact members for their positioning relative to the centering jig, the latter then being secured to the cup, and the second step is done by breaking the connection between the centering jig and the cup.
  • the first step comprises an auxiliary support with spacing and support for the beam or cables.
  • the release of the securing means is directly effected by the operator during a direct action thereof on the centering jig or by the action of a cup fixing means against receiving assembly, provided on the latter, against said template in the third step of the method, this action causing the breaking of said securing means.
  • the idea underlying the present invention is to operate the temporary maintenance by stacking or electrical bundles around the temporary holding part held in a fixed position.
  • the technical effect obtained is a facilitated centering of the wiring harness or cables in the distributor compared to that obtained by the state of the art, this while using a simple form of maintenance part.
  • Such misalignment can occur, for example, during an inadvertent movement of the beam in the cup, the beam is not yet maintained in place in the latter.
  • Figure 1 shows a distributor 1 receiving at least one electrical harness, not shown in this figure.
  • This beam may contain several conductive cables each with an electrical contact member at the end of the cable.
  • the dispenser 1 comprises an anti-rotation cup 2 forming the base of this dispenser 1.
  • this cup 2 comprises means 6 for preventing rotation of the electrical bundle or beams during screwing for mounting in the final position of the dispenser 1 when it is secured to the assembly receiving it, for example a piece of the vehicle body or integral with it. These means 6 will be described later.
  • cup 2 anti-rotation is symmetrical in shape of revolution having a cylindrical shape with a base 3 which will bear against the receiving assembly.
  • This cup 2 is preferably plastic.
  • the cup 2 of the distributor 1 comprises elements arranged discontinuously at its periphery. These elements can be constituted by means 6 of separation and anti-rotation of the electrical beam or beams already mentioned above.
  • the electrical distributor 1 comprises a covering cap, not shown in Figure 1, which can be arranged above the side elements 6 by capping them.
  • the anti-rotation cup 2 comprises a recess 4 therethrough, this recess 4 being able to be in the center of the cup 2, as shown in FIG.
  • this recess 4 allows the passage of a stud secured to the receiving assembly of the distributor 1, in particular by welding thereof.
  • This stud serves for the final fixing of the cup 2 anti-rotation on this set.
  • each cable of the beam at the end thereof is advantageously in the form of a lug and, in the final mounting position, this lug can surround the stud in order to make the electrical contact with the receiver assembly, this stud advantageously serving both as fixing means and electrical conduction means for the distributor 1.
  • cup 2 anti-rotation is shown in a position prior to its final assembly against the receiving assembly.
  • the recess 4 is not yet traversed by the stud of this assembly, but according to an essential characteristic of the present invention, a centering jig 5 is provided for the reception and the temporary holding of one or more incorporated electrical contacts. in an electrical harness positioned in the distributor.
  • This centering template 5 is used for the temporary holding of one or cables of an electrical harness prior to putting the final mounting position of the distributor against the receiving assembly.
  • This centering template 5 is integral with the anti-rotation cup 2, being for example fixed by means of securing with it. These means can be arranged at the central recess 4 of the cup 2. These securing means can be broken in order to allow detachment of the centering jig 5 from the anti-rotation cup 2 prior to putting the end position in position.
  • distributor 1 electrical and the passage of the stud of the receiving assembly for fixing the distributor against this set.
  • the centering jig 5 is in the form of a rod extending perpendicularly to the plane of the anti-rotation cup 2 above it.
  • the diameter of the rod is determined so as to allow easy reception of the electrical contact member at the end of the cable or cables of an electrical harness, this or these members being advantageously in the form of pods surrounding the rod for a prior maintenance and temporary electric harness.
  • the diameter of the rod of the jig 5 may advantageously be substantially equivalent to that of the bolt for fixing the cup against the receiver assembly for optimum retention of the contact members that it carries.
  • This holding by this rod 5 can be done just after the insertion wiring step, which consists, for example, in a crimping of the electrical contact member at the end of each cable of an electrical harness.
  • This electrical harness is then provisionally positioned in and secured to the anti-rotation cup 2, before the final assembly of the electrical distributor 1 on the receiving assembly.
  • an entity formed of a cup carrying an electrical harness entity that can be transported as such to the mounting station of the electrical distributor 1 against its receiving assembly.
  • this can also be obtained by action of the cup attachment means against receiving assembly, generally a stud provided on the latter, against said template 5 during the penetration of this stud by the base 3 of the cup 2, this action causing the breaking of said securing means.
  • this cup and beam entity may comprise several levels in order to be able to receive the contact member of additional beams and to maintain them. at different heights above the cup 2 anti-rotation.
  • the mounting method according to the present invention thus comprises a first step of preliminary and temporary holding of the beam in said cup 2 by a centering jig 5, a second step of releasing this holding for the final position of mounting the cup 2 against said assembly and a third step of fixing the cup 2 against the receiving assembly.
  • the first step comprises the displacement of or contact members for their positioning relative to the centering jig 5, the latter being then integral with the cup 2, and in that the second step is done by breaking the connection between the centering jig 5 and the cup 2.
  • the centering jig 5 comprises only one rod having its first end 5a secured to the cup 2 by laterally engageable securing means and a second end 5b remote from the cup 2 and free access for insertion of or contact members of said beam around it.
  • the cup entity 2 with electrical harness, held in position is placed in the mounting position.
  • the mounting jig 5 is then separated from the cup 2 in order to allow the fixing stud of the penetrating receiving assembly to pass through the base 3 of the cup 2 in the recess 4 of this cup 2.
  • the fastening of the centering template 5 to the cup 2 can then be broken by action of the operator on it, for example by forcing it in rotation with his fingers.
  • the centering template 5 may break when the stud is inserted into the recess 4 of the cup 2 and then into the contact member of the electrical harness.
  • a line of least resistance can be created at the junction of the jig 5 and the cup 2.
  • the stud can press the contour of the lower part of the template to make this separation.
  • the stud may be chosen advantageously to have a greater length than that of the recess of the template 5 and / or a diameter slightly less than that of the recess.
  • the stud When fixing the cup 2 against the receiving assembly, the stud penetrates into this recess, the latter acting as a sleeve for the stud, the clearance between the inside of the sleeve and the stud being advantageously low so that the stud exerts on the jig 5 a tearing force of its fastening with the cup 2.
  • the stud when this force is not sufficient to cause tearing of the jig 5, the stud can abut with the upper end of the central recess of the jig 5 and push on it, which causes the fastening of the jig 5 to break with the cup 2, which is generally arranged near the other end of the jig 5.
  • the length of the jig 5 or the length of the stud may be greater or less depending on the method of detachment used.
  • the cup 2 is fixed relative to the stud of the set of receiving, for example by screwing a nut on this stud by inserting the contact member (s) of the cables of the bundle between the nut and the cup 2.
  • the contact members of each of the additional beams are added to the stud in contact with the first beam, the contacts stacking on each other around the stud.
  • the cup 2 is fixed relative to the stud, for example by screwing a nut by interposing the contact of each of the bundles between the nut and the cup, as previously mentioned.
  • the stud can advantageously be used as an electric ground.
  • the anti-rotation cup 2 of the electrical distributor 1 also comprises means 6 for separating and anti-rotating the electrical beam or beams. These means 6 are particularly advantageous in the case where the electrical distributor 1 receives several electrical harnesses.
  • the electrical harness is advantageously placed between two means 6, these make a stop for the rotation of the beam either during the temporary maintenance relative to the centering jig, or during the final assembly relative to the stud of the receiving assembly when screwing the cup 2 anti-rotation on this assembly.
  • these means 6 are also used for the spacing and the separation in height of the cable or cables of the electrical beams arranged above the cup 2 anti-rotation of the distributor 1.
  • the means 6 of separation and anti-rotation are in the form of substantially parallel rods and extending perpendicular to the base 3 of the cup 2 by pointing above it. In one embodiment of the present invention, these means 6 extend substantially parallel to the centering jig 5 of the anti-rotation cup 2.
  • These means 6 comprise, along their length, spacing elements and auxiliary support 8 of the cable or electrical harnesses to position and temporarily hold on the cup 2 anti-rotation prior to its final assembly on the receiving assembly .
  • spacer and auxiliary support elements 8 are regularly distributed over the length of the rods forming the separation and anti-rotation means 6.
  • the electrical beam (s) whose respective contact member at the end of the bundle is arranged around the centering jig 5, are held in position with respect to the cup 2 (2). -rotation by being stably retained by these elements 8 provided on the holding rods 6.
  • spacer and auxiliary support elements 8 project outwardly from the rod 6 carrying them.
  • Each of these elements 8 can be used for attaching a cable or a bundle. They may advantageously be in the form of hooks or flexible clips for holding a part of the beam, that is to say most often the joining part of an electrical member with its respective cable.
  • spacer and auxiliary support clips as elements 8 may have several types of shapes other than that shown in FIG.
  • the operator that is to say the cable has the first end contact member crimped to the harness in the cup 2.
  • This first contact member is at the lowest level of spacing elements and auxiliary support 8.
  • the second beam is then advantageously associated with a spacing element and auxiliary support 8 located at a height greater than the cup 2 than that corresponding to the first beam and so on for the addition of other electrical harnesses.
  • these means 6 can be fixed permanently on the cup 2 anti-rotation.
  • An advantage of the present invention is to allow effective temporary maintenance of the electrical harness or bundles before the final assembly against the receiving assembly, for example the body of a motor vehicle. This temporary maintenance is also done with easy implementation.
  • the present invention also allows a transfer of assembly of the electrical bundle or bundles with the cup during wiring instead of this assembly being during the final assembly of the anti-rotation cup on its receiving assembly, which saves time during assembly.
  • the cup according to the present invention can accept several types of different beams, the spacing of the spacers and auxiliary support being adapted accordingly.
