- the profile encloses the two extension surfaces along the edge area in a predetermined distance from the same in creating elongated spaces, which extend in said direction and which are intended to be filled with joint sealing compound e.g. silicone, in constituting a water-repelling, elongated joint between the profiles and the extension surfaces.
- the U-profile encloses the thickness of the wall without a real joint width, between the two vertical side border portions of the U- profile and the extension area of the wall element, which causes that only a too thin joint of sealing compound can be applied by aid of a tool e.g.
- One object of the present invention is to decrease those drawbacks existing with the structures mentioned above by mounting the wall elements into at least one profile/profile portion, which extends in a direction in parallel with and in a predetermined distance from the two extension surfaces at their edge area in constituting an elongated space between the sheet-metal profiLe and the extension surfaces. The space then gives room for filling up sealing compound, which creates a perfect, hygienic, water-repelling elongated joint, which over a period of time is well-functioning and easy to handle.
- a well-functioning water-repelling device to fit up sheet units preferably wall elements, comprising two opposite parallel extension surfaces and along its circumference an edge area, which via at least one elongated profile can be fixed into position against a support e.g. a floor or ceiling and which extends in a direction in parallel with the support.
- the edge area is enclosed by said profile in a predetermined distance from at least one of said extension surfaces in creating at least one elongated space, which extends in said direction in parallel with said support.
- the space in this way creates room to be filled with joint sealing compound in constituting a water-repelling, elongated joint between the profile and the actual extension surface, which has about 3-15 mm width and 10-70 mm depth.
- the profile consists of an U-formation enclosing said edge area, which is provided with an edge side extending across the extension surfaces.
- the U-formation is provided with at least one elongated bottom portion, which is mainly parallel with the support and constitutes at least a part of the lower, horizontal part of the U-formation, which in turn ⁇ s provided with two elongated side border portions, which extend from the bottom portion and the support and constitute the two vertical portions of said U-formation for enclosing the two extension surfaces of the edge area.
- the U-profile is manufactured by bent plate sheet-metal. Screws or rivets are mounted through the side border portions into the extension surfaces. The distance does not increase in this way during the filling up with the joint sealing compound, since the screws or rivets at the same time as they are holding the wall elements, also fix the distance.
- the joint is thereafter filled up in the elongated space on the spot via an extruding nozzle.
- the two lower portions of the side border portions which are located nearest or near the bottom portion touch upon the extension surfaces from both sides of said sheet unit and further a longer distance from the bottom portion, about 10 - 50 mm, in an other direction across and from the support, the side border portions are bent outwards from the extension surface about 3 — 15 mm in a first bent, in order to reach the predetermined distance and then in a second bent and thereafter in its extension in a direction in parallel with the extension surfaces 10 - 70 mm in the predetermined distance to the ending upper portions of the U- formation in constituting said space.
- the sheet unit is fixed into position against the two lower portions, which touch upon the edge area and guide the sheet unit laterally.
- the extension between the bents creates a bottom of said space.
- the distance which makes room for said joint, can also be created by another alternative solution of the invention by that the side border portions are straight protruding from the bottom portion and extend in parallel with the extension surfaces during their whole extension up to the ending upper portion in this distance from the extension surface.
- the intermediate distance elements are provided such as plastic spacers, which are as wide as the size of the distance and constitute the bottom of the space.
- the sheet unit is in this case fixed to position between the spacers laterally.
- the bottom portion preferably in its middle comprises extensions pointing towards the edge side, which during the insertion of the edge area between the two side border portions, make the extensions to be urged into the edge side or match into present guiding grooves for fixing into position of the sheet unit at the same time as a fixing in position laterally is obtained.
- the side border portions can also in said mentioned variants of the invention be movable towards and away from each other in a direction in parallel with the bottom portion in order to increase or decrease the distance between the side border portions for obtaining of a fitting, which can be chosen to different thickness of different sheet units from 50 - 200 ram.
- the side border portions can be fixed into a predetermined position in a predetermined alignment distance between these in parallel with the support to a position for the fixation into position of the sheet unit.
- the bottom portion then constitutes an attachment area of the sheet unit to the support by e.g. bolts, nails or rivets.
- the bottom portion comprises in a further embodiment example of the invention portions, which extend beyond the side border portions in parallel with the support. These can be used as anchoring area.
- these comprise in their longitudinal direction elongated formations such as rills, extensions or bowl formations, which serve as surfaces which are increasing the contact surface of the joint against the side border portion, which results in a more effective tightening effect and a better fixation into position of the joint against the side border portion.
- the principal advantages of the invention are that a hygienic, easy to wash, water-repelling jointing of sheet units in a support has been provided, said joint is easy to apply to the space in question and which thereafter is tight, easy to keep clean and which dose not gather mould and dirt under the edge sides.

- the U-formation 12 comprises two bottom portions 14 and two elongated side border portions 15, which extend from the bottom portions 14 and the support 8 and which constitute the two vertical portions of said U-formation 12. At a lower portion 20 of the two side border portions 15 these are touching upon towards the extension surfaces 3. A short distance away from the bottom portions 14 the side border portions 15 are bent outwards in another direction 18 in a first bent 24 across and from said support 8 in order to reach said distance 10 and from there in its continuation after a following bent 24 continue straight away to an ending upper portion 17.
- the bottom portion 14 constitutes an anchoring area 19 for fixing the profile 6 to the support 8.

- the bottom portion 14 comprises an extension 16, which is pointing upwards in the direction 18 and is intended, during the insertion of the edge side 13 between the two side border portions 15, to be urged into a guiding groove 25 provided in said edge side 13.
