Description
The invention relates to an electrical connection with a first connecting part and a second connecting part which can be inserted into the first connecting part, wherein the first connecting part has a receiving space for receiving the second connecting part.
Such electrical connections are known in principle and have the disadvantage, in particular when used in the motor vehicle sector, that the quality of the electrical contact between the first connection part and the second connection part can be impaired by temperature fluctuations, vibrations and / or moisture.
The invention has for its object to provide an electrical connection of the type mentioned, which permanently ensures reliable electrical contact between the first connection part and the second connection part.
The object is achieved by an electrical connection with the features of claim 1. Due to the interference fit of the second connecting part in the first connecting part, the second connecting part is fixed non-positively in the first connecting part and ensures a secure and particularly unsolvable mechanical connection of the first and second connecting part.
At the same time associated with the elastic deformation spring property or flexibility of the first connecting part ensures that the inserted into the first connector second connecting member always under vibration, under extreme temperatures, with drastic temperature jumps and / or increased humidity always in secure electrical contact with the first connection part is. In this way, an optimum quality of the electrical contact between the first and second connecting part is permanently ensured.
The receiving space has a substantially circular cross section at least in a contact region. In this case, the contact region is that region of the receiving space in which the contact section of the second connecting part is actually in mechanical and electrical contact with the first connecting part.
In this case, the contact portion of the second connecting part has a non-circular cross-section whose maximum diameter is slightly larger than the diameter of the receiving space in the contact region. By forming the contact portion of non-circular cross-section, in particular when the contact region of the receiving space has a substantially circular cross-section, it is achieved that the contact portion of the second connecting part is in exactly defined areas in contact with the first connecting part. The forces exerted on the first connecting part by the second connecting part are consequently focused on limited areas, which has an advantageous effect on the elastic deformation of the first connecting part and thereby ultimately on the contact quality.
According to the invention, the contact portion of the second connecting part at least partially on a substantially oval, elliptical or non-rectangular diamond-shaped cross section.
Advantageous embodiments of the invention are described in the dependent claims, the description and the drawings.
According to one embodiment, the contact portion of the second connecting part inserted into the first connecting part is in contact with the first connecting part in at least two spaced-apart and in particular opposite contact regions.
Advantageously, the amount of excess of the contact portion of the second connecting part relative to the receiving space of the first connecting part in the order of 10 -2 mm to 10 -1 mm. Such a dimensioned oversize is sufficiently large to hold the inserted second connecting part non-positively in the first connecting part, ie, in order to provide a press fit. At the same time that is Oversize sufficiently small to cause substantially only an elastic - and at least no significant plastic - deformation of the first connecting part. In other words, the oversize is so small that upon insertion of the second connecting part into the first connecting part a deformation of the first connecting part is effected, which is so low that the first connecting part shows elastic properties even if it is not made of a pronounced spring material , such as spring steel, is formed. The first connection part may thus be formed, for example, from a normal steel.
The electrical connection can be made in a particularly simple and cost-effective manner, when the contact portion of the second connecting part is made by a crimping operation. For example, the second connection part may be a round cross-section cable which has been machined in its contact section by a suitable crimping tool to provide the desired non-circular cross section of the contact section.
The first connection part may have a connection contact, e.g. comprise a threaded bolt, which it is for example to connect with the above-mentioned round cable.

The second connecting

Due to the excess of the
