Definitions
- This invention relates to a boat comprising a hull, a foredeck and afterdeck and a cabin, which is provided with a back wall.
- the object of this invention is to provide a completely new type of boat, which fulfills the wishes of everyone who wants to have a sea-worthy boat which can be used for everything from different aquatic sports to fishing and as a ferry between an island cottage and the mainland.
- Characteristic of a boat according to the invention is that the back wall is transferable into underneath the afterdeck from its protecting position.
- the back wall comprises two permanent outer wall components and two inner door components which can be pushed to the sides.
- a characteristic of another embodiment is that the wall components and door components are of a transparent material, such as tempered glass.
- a characteristic of a third embodiment is that the wall components and door components are provided with a frame construction and form a unit which is transferable along a rail construction between the protecting position of the wall and the resting position beneath the afterdeck.
- a characteristic of a further embodiment is that the back wall of the cockpit is collapsible whereupon the area of the afterdeck becomes larger and can also be used as a loading deck.
- the boat comprises a boat hull, a foredeck and afterdeck 1, 2 and a cabin 3, which is provided with a back wall 4. From its protecting position ( Figure 1 ), the back wall 4 is transferable into underneath the afterdeck 2, Figures 4 and 5.
- the back wall comprises two permanent outer wall components made of tempered glass 6 and two inner door components, which can be pushed to the sides, made of tempered glass 7. The door components 7 are pushed into their open position before the back wall is transferred under the deck 2. In this way the back wall is open in the middle and it is easy to get to the engine, which is underneath the back wall.
- the wall components 6 and the door components 7 are provided with a frame construction (not illustrated in the drawings) and form a unit which is transferable along a rail construction between the protecting position of the wall and the resting position under the afterdeck 2.
- the back wall of the cockpit 8 is collapsible, whereupon the afterdeck 2 has a larger area and can also be used as a loading deck.
- the doors 7 can be entirely manually pushed between the open and closed positions. The movements of the back wall and afterdeck occur hydraulically/pneumatically using a technology known per se and is therefore not described in more detail here.

Abstract
This invention relates to a boat comprising a hull, a foredeck and afterdeck (1, 2) and a cabin (3), which is equipped with a back wall (4). From its protecting position, the back wall (4) is transferable into underneath the afterdeck.
Description
- This invention relates to a boat comprising a hull, a foredeck and afterdeck and a cabin, which is provided with a back wall.
- The object of this invention is to provide a completely new type of boat, which fulfills the wishes of everyone who wants to have a sea-worthy boat which can be used for everything from different aquatic sports to fishing and as a ferry between an island cottage and the mainland. Characteristic of a boat according to the invention is that the back wall is transferable into underneath the afterdeck from its protecting position.
- Characteristic of an advantageous embodiment according to the invention is that the back wall comprises two permanent outer wall components and two inner door components which can be pushed to the sides.
- When the back wall is underneath the deck in its resting position, and the back wall of the cockpit is collapsed, loading and unloading the boat is very easy. It is easy to move around onboard the boat. The large, open space, inside and out, can be used in many different ways.
- The invention shall be explained in the following, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which
-
Figure 1 shows an embodiment of a boat according to the invention, illustrated axonometrically at an angle from the back and above, -
Figure 2 shows the same asFigure 1 , but the back wall of the cockpit is collapsed and the afterdeck is partially raised, -
Figure 3 shows the same asFigure 2 , but the back wall is pushed under the raised afterdeck and -
Figure 4 shows the same asFigure 3 , but the afterdeck is lowered down in place. - The boat comprises a boat hull, a foredeck and
afterdeck 1, 2 and acabin 3, which is provided with a back wall 4. From its protecting position (Figure 1 ), the back wall 4 is transferable into underneath theafterdeck 2,Figures 4 and 5. The back wall comprises two permanent outer wall components made oftempered glass 6 and two inner door components, which can be pushed to the sides, made of tempered glass 7. The door components 7 are pushed into their open position before the back wall is transferred under thedeck 2. In this way the back wall is open in the middle and it is easy to get to the engine, which is underneath the back wall. Thewall components 6 and the door components 7 are provided with a frame construction (not illustrated in the drawings) and form a unit which is transferable along a rail construction between the protecting position of the wall and the resting position under theafterdeck 2. The back wall of thecockpit 8 is collapsible, whereupon theafterdeck 2 has a larger area and can also be used as a loading deck. The doors 7 can be entirely manually pushed between the open and closed positions. The movements of the back wall and afterdeck occur hydraulically/pneumatically using a technology known per se and is therefore not described in more detail here.
Claims (5)
- A boat comprising a boat hull, a foredeck and afterdeck (1, 2) and a cabin (3), in which is provided with a back wall (4), characterized in that, from its protecting position (Figure 1), the back wall (4) is transferable into underneath the afterdeck (2) (Figures 4 and 5).
- A boat according to claim 1, characterized in that the back wall comprises two permanent outer wall components (6) and two inner door components which can be pushed to the sides (7).
- A boat according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the wall components and the door components (6, 7) are of transparent material, such as tempered glass.
- A boat according to claim 1, 2 or 3, characterized in that the wall components and door components (6, 7) are equipped with a frame construction and form a unit which is transferable along a rail construction between the protecting position of the wall and the resting position under the afterdeck.
- A boat according to any of the above claims, characterized in that the back wall of the cockpit (8) is collapsible, whereupon the afterdeck (2) has a larger area and can also be used as a loading deck.
