- A deflection element (1), in particular for coins or for chips, for guidance, for deflection and/or for changing the position or the location of the coins or chips, in particular within a machine, wherein the deflection apparatus (1) comprises two base plates (2, 3) that are spaced apart opposite one another, that are substantially flat and that form a path for the coins or chips by means of spacers (10, 18), and wherein the spacers (10) engage into openings (11) of the base plates (2, 3) and thus fix the base plates (2, 3) relative to one another, wherein said base plates (2, 3) each have a planar first region (4, 5) in the insertion region of the deflection apparatus, a second planar region (6, 7) in the ejection region of the deflection apparatus, and a curved region (8, 9) by which said first and second regions (4, 5; 6, 7) are connected to one another, and an infeed plane of the coins is inclined with respect to a discharge plane of the coins, characterized in that the insertion region has a first coin channel width that is larger than a second coin channel width of the ejection region, with said curved region (8, 9) between the insertion region and the ejection region gradually tapering the coin channel width from said first coin channel width to the second coin channel width.
- A deflection apparatus in accordance with claim 1, characterized in that the spacers (10) have a strip-like region (18) that serves as a boundary of the path of the coins.
- A deflection apparatus in accordance with claim 1 or claim 2, characterized in that the spacers (10) are formed in one part with the strip-like region (18).
- A deflection apparatus in accordance with claim 1, claim 2, or claim 3, characterized in that the spacers (10) are formed in the manner of hooks at their at least one end region and thus engage into the openings (11) of the base plates (2, 3).
- A deflection apparatus in accordance with one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the base plates (2, 3) are fixed relative to one another and releasable again by means of at least one screw (12).
- A deflection apparatus in accordance with claim 5, characterized in that the at least one screw (12) is arranged at a projecting tongue remote from the path of the coin.
- A deflection apparatus in accordance with one of the preceding claims, characterized in that at least one of the base plates (2, 3) has openings (16, 17) for a simpler cleaning of the apparatus and/or for assembling the apparatus.
- A deflection apparatus in accordance with one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the ejection region (15) is arranged offset with respect to the insertion region (13) viewed in the direction of an intersection line of the infeed plane and of the discharge plane; and in that a three-dimensional movement procedure is provided for a coin passing through the apparatus.
- A deflection apparatus in accordance with one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the base plates (2, 3) are shaped from a plate such as a metal plate and/or from a plastic and/or from a coated material.
- A deflection apparatus in accordance with one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the coin throughput amounts to approximately 7 to 10 coins per second.
- A deflection apparatus in accordance with one of the preceding claims, wherein the first coin channel width in the insertion region amounts to one- and-a-half times or twice the second coin channel width in the ejection region.
- A deflection apparatus in accordance with one of the preceding claims, wherein the insertion region (13) has a widened portion such that the base plates (2, 3) in the insertion region (13) are widened beyond the dimension defined by the spacers (10).
