Abstract

1356119 Testing coins THOMAS AUTOMATICS CO Ltd 8 Dec 1971 [28 Dec 1970] 61400/70 Heading G4V A coin entry head which adapted to be fitted externally on the casing of a vending machine comprises a coin inlet slot (4) (Fig. 1, not shown) which limits the maximum diameter of coins insertable into the head, and a coin shoot including a coin ramp 8 and inclined wall 6, the wall being apertured to form a pair of spaced apart lands 6b, 6c extending longitudinally of the shoot and which are so spaced that coins of insufficient diameter fall through the aperture and are rejected. The wall 6 is fixed to a parallel wall 7 mounted on a base-plate 1 in which a slot 1b is provided for passage of acceptable coins into the machine. Rejected coins are returned via a box member 10 to the user.
