Description

The invention relates to a mounting device comprising a cylindrical mounting ring and a mounting plate with a circular recess for fixing a recessed light in an opening of a building surface, such as a false ceiling or partition.

Known from the prior art, inter alia, the following embodiments for the mounting of recessed lights:
  • The DE 199 42 793 A1 presents a pivotable light fixture, which is equipped with a cylindrical outer ring, on the outside of which retaining elements are attached. By means of the outside holding elements, the lamp is mounted in mounting openings, for example in openings of suspended false ceilings. On the inside of the cylindrical outer ring is a circumferential bead, in which the light source, such as a halogen lamp with reflector, is fixed by means of an inner retaining ring. By means of a collar on the outer circumference of the outer ring, which terminates in a circumferential end bead, the edge of the mounting hole, in which the lamp holder is inserted, veneered in the installed state in a known manner. As required for mounting the lamp in the mounting hole holding elements, which are provided on the smooth, cylindrical outer ring, are designed to ensure a flexible and secure installation in ceiling panels with different thicknesses, remains open. A flush with the mounting surface installation of such lights is certainly not possible through the circular encircling Abschlusswulst.
  • The DE 43 09 804 C2 relates to a recessed ceiling light for low-voltage halogen lamps with a hollow body for receiving the light source, at the edges of which at least two spreaderable to the outside, the ceiling side supportable retaining springs are attached. In addition, further, on the hollow body releasably latching detent springs are provided for positioning the hollow body. By means of the retaining springs, the recessed ceiling light is clamped, for example, in a mounting hole of a suspended ceiling. The detent springs and the retaining springs are fastened to the same metal web. A disadvantage of such an attachment by means of retaining springs is that the recessed luminaire is not positioned flush in the mounting surface. In order to prevent the recessed light is pulled in the installed state by the spring force of the retaining springs in the interior of the mounting hole, a circumferential bead is required, which is visible as an outer boundary ring of the recessed light rests circumferentially on the edge of the opening of the ceiling element. This bead on the one hand forms an abutment against the spring force of the retaining springs and on the other hand covers the opening of the ceiling element in a known manner. Depending on the mass of the lighting fixture, the nature of the material of the suspended ceiling construction and the frequency of installation and removal of such recessed lights, for example, for maintenance purposes, the retaining springs over time lose the grip or the clamping force. Such recessed luminaires can thus continue to protrude out of the mounting surface with the formation of an increasing gap. Apart from the impaired aesthetic impression such poorly mounted lights also pose a security risk, since a loosening of their anchorage or a fall and an associated increased short circuit tendency during operation can not be excluded. Furthermore, it is necessary for this type of recessed lights to cut the opening in the ceiling element exactly positive fit for each individual lamp, so that the outer bead of the lamp rests evenly circumferentially on the ceiling plate.
  • The DE 10 2006 001 289 A1 shows a recessed spotlight, which is provided with a housing with a holder for mounting in a mounting surface, in particular a false ceiling. In the housing, a bulb mount is mounted rotatable and pivotable. The housing, which completely disappears in the installed position, for example in a suspended ceiling to a narrow visible frame, has on two opposite sides holding devices, such as adjustable retaining tongues with which the housing can be clamped to the back of the false ceiling. The disadvantage is such a fastening, especially in ceiling constructions with very thin plates or plates with a particularly large material thickness. The lateral retaining tongues are adjustable in this embodiment only to a lesser extent and can therefore only be used for attachment to certain thicknesses of ceiling tiles. In addition, an exact cut of the ceiling opening is required here to provide a circumferential support for the narrow cover frame.

A fastening device for recessed luminaires in an intermediate ceiling is known from the prior art, in which a flexible perforated plate, which is provided centrally with a circular recess, is suitably inserted into the mounting hole of the false ceiling and positioned so that it is flat at the back the false ceiling rests and the entire cross section of its recess is accessible in the mounting hole. Subsequently, a cylindrical ring, the outer periphery of a stepped shoulder as a transition between two sections with different Outer diameter, inserted into the mounting hole of the false ceiling and through the circular recess of the perforated plate. The cylindrical ring is in the interior of the opening, ie behind the false ceiling, rotated accordingly and pulled from the top or rear with the side with a smaller outer diameter in the recess of the perforated plate that he circulates with its stepped shoulder to the section with a larger outer diameter of the perforated plate rests or locks and is fixed in such a way. The cylindrical ring is provided on its inside with a circumferential recess into which the recessed light is screwed or snapped. Thereafter, the perforated plate is screwed together from below through the false ceiling together with this and thus fixed in position. A disadvantage of this design is that for a flush with the false ceiling installation of the lamp in each case an individual ring with different installation height, which must be adapted to the material thickness of the ceiling plate used, is required.

The present invention therefore has as its object to avoid the known from the prior art disadvantages for the attachment of recessed lighting of the type mentioned, and to provide a mounting device that allows recessed lighting regardless of the material thickness of the ceiling panels flush with each to install the underside of the false ceiling.

According to the invention this object is achieved in a mounting device of the type mentioned by the features stated in the characterizing part of patent claim 1. Particularly preferred embodiments are the subject of the dependent claims.

Advantageously, in a mounting device according to the invention, the mounting plate is designed so that it can be pushed or pushed through the opening in the plate-shaped building surface, such as a false ceiling, and thus arranged behind an intermediate wall or above a suspended false ceiling. The mounting ring is then screwed into the recess of the mounting plate by means of thread. Thus, the mounting ring can be very flexibly adjusted by turning in its axial position relative to the mounting plate or against the building surface. A flush conclusion between mounting ring and building surface is thus easily adjusted by deep corresponding screwing the mounting ring.

For this purpose, an inventive mounting ring is equipped on its outside with at least a portion of a helical external thread. Different versions of an external thread are conceivable. So a single or be executed multi-threaded external thread. Furthermore, a thread with both a single or multiple circumferential thread is just as conceivable as a thread with only a section or segment of a thread.

Preferably, such an external thread on the outside of a mounting ring according to the invention can also be designed as a coarse thread, wherein the external thread has a pitch angle between 10 ° and 40 °, preferably between 15 ° and 25 °. By means of a steep thread, the mounting ring can be quickly brought by twisting in a flush with the building surface location. The mounting ring may have easier to handle on its inside at its rear mounting position in the free end tabs or webs on which the mounting ring for manual twisting and adjusting can be attacked.

Suitably, an inventive mounting ring is equipped on its inner side with at least one radially circumferential recess, which serves to fasten the recessed light. The recessed light has on its cylindrical outer side fastening devices, such as resiliently mounted balls that snap or snap in the installed state in the groove of the mounting ring and thus fix the recessed light in the mounting ring. Due to the circumferential groove, there is no preferred direction of attachment of the recessed light, i. The luminaire body can be rotated as desired in the mounting ring and be adjusted for optimal illumination of the object. In the case of the embodiment with several, radially on the inside of the mounting ring circumferential grooves a recessed light can be installed by snapping into a deeper inside recess also set back in the false ceiling, although the mounting ring is preferably flush with the false ceiling. Thus, the mounting ring forms part of a reflector for the lamp and emerging from the false ceiling light of the recessed light can be bundled more concentrated by the mounting ring.

In a preferred embodiment, the mounting plate has at least one perforated section for receiving fastening screws. As a result, a screwing of the mounting plate on the back of the plate-shaped building surface, such as a false ceiling, much easier. A fixing screw, which is screwed from the front of the false ceiling through this into the mounting plate, is securely held in the corresponding perforated portion of the mounting plate and thus a stable connection between the mounting plate and false ceiling is achieved. The mounting plate according to the invention may also have a plurality of perforated sections in different embodiments. A mounting plate according to the invention can further be constructed in sections of different materials. For example, a perforated section may be made of a more robust material than the remainder of the mounting plate construction.

Preferably, the mounting plate on the circumference of the circular recess at least a portion of an internal thread, which is suitable for the external thread of the mounting ring. This female threaded portion accommodates the complementary external thread of the mounting ring and may include one or more threads depending on the design. Alternatively, the internal thread can also be formed by a very short section of a thread, for example a web or a notch.

Another advantageous feature of a mounting device according to the invention is that both the mounting ring on the outside, as well as the mounting plate on the circumference of the circular recess to each other arranged, mechanically acting locking devices, such as toothed notches, which in the screwed position the mounting ring against rotation relative to the Secure mounting plate.

  • Die Montageplatte wird auf der Rückseite der Zwischendecke oder Zwischenwand derart positioniert, dass die Montageplatte bündig anliegt und der gesamte Querschnitt der kreisförmigen Ausnehmung in der Öffnung der Gebäudefläche frei zugänglich ist;
A method for installing a mounting device according to the invention for fastening a recessed luminaire is advantageously characterized by the sequence of the following method steps:
  • The opening is cut into the building surface in accordance with the installation instructions.
  • The mounting plate is inserted into the opening of a building surface, such as a false ceiling or partition.
  • The mounting plate is positioned on the back of the false ceiling or intermediate wall such that the mounting plate is flush and the entire cross section of the circular recess in the opening of the building surface is freely accessible;
  • The mounting plate is fastened with at least one fastening screw, which is screwed from the front of the building surface through the ceiling or wall plate into one of the holes of a perforated portion of the mounting plate.
  • The mounting ring is inserted into the circular recess of the mounting plate, brought into threaded engagement with the mounting plate and screwed in until a desired end position of the mounting ring is reached.
  • An end position of the mounting ring can then be achieved when the mounting ring is flush with the front of the building surface.
  • The mounting ring is held by mechanically acting locking devices, such as toothed notches, during assembly positively in the position set by the user.
  • Finally, the gap between the mounting ring and the diameter of the building surface opening can be filled with plaster, whereby a fixed position of the mounting ring is achieved with respect to the building surface.

A mounting device according to the invention can be used everywhere versatile, where a preferably flush installation with building surfaces is desired. Instead of a recessed light suitable other devices of the building technology, such as speakers, sensors or monitors can be fitted shapely and flush by means of the mounting device.

Fig. 1a zeigt symbolisch das Ausschneiden bzw. In Fig. 1 The known closest prior art of such mounting devices for a recessed luminaire is shown in several individual drawings of an assembly instructions. The mounting device shown here comprises a flat perforated plate and a cylindrical mounting ring. Fig. 1a symbolically shows the cutting or sawing out a possible circular opening in a false ceiling to open up the underlying cavity for mounting a recessed light. FIG. 1b shows a perforated metal sheet or a comparable fiber material with defined mesh sizes or holes, which is suitable to fix a fastening ring in its preferably centrally arranged circular recess. In Fig. 1b the perforated metal sheet is shown slotted and can thereby be helically twisted for installation and thus be screwed comparable to the thread of a screw by a rotary motion in the relatively smaller opening of the false ceiling. The perforated metal sheet is positioned adjacent to the back of the false ceiling so that the entire cross section of its circular recess in the opening of the false ceiling is freely accessible. Fig. 1c shows how the 90 ° twisted, mounted mounting ring is pushed through the opening of the false ceiling. Fig. 1d shows a schematic sectional view of the partially free-cut opening in the false ceiling. It is shown symbolically that the mounting ring behind or above the false ceiling opposite to in Fig. 1c shown rotated again by 90 °, that is brought into a position parallel to the false ceiling, in such a way that its portion is aligned with a smaller outer diameter down to the opening of the false ceiling. The mounting ring is then pulled down and clicks form-fitting in the perforated plate. A disadvantage of this design is that for a given thickness of the false ceiling in each case a specific, with its corresponding height exactly matching mounting ring must be present to ensure a flush finish with the false ceiling. Fig. 1e shows the locked mounting ring in the opening and an electrical connection cable for later connection to a recessed light or a similar other electrically operated device. In Fig. 1f It is shown that the perforated metal sheet is screwed from the front through the false ceiling with, for example, four fastening screws and thus fixed in position on the back of the false ceiling. Fig. 1g shows that a possible remaining free gap between the opening and the mounting ring can be filled, Fig. 1h symbolizes a thesis of the assembly, the coloring of the false ceiling or the painting over of the filled areas. Thus, the mounting device is fully installed, it can be electrically connected to the recessed light and then locked in the mounting ring of the mounting device.

Fig. 2 shows a mounting plate 2 according to the invention in a rectangular design with a circular recess 3, on the periphery of three portions of an internal thread 4, which are formed as webs 4, projecting into the interior of the recess 3. Directly adjacent to the sections of the internal thread 4, three locking devices 5 are arranged in the form of a toothed notch 5. Adjacent to the circular recess 3 with a diameter 6 are symmetrically two opposite, perforated Sections 7 with numerous, preferably equal holes 8 arranged. In the embodiment shown here, two cut perforated plates 7 are used as perforated sections 7, which are in holding devices 9, for example, in headband 9, which are mounted on the mounting plate 2, are inserted.

Fig. 3 shows the mounting plate 2 Fig. 2 in a side view. The headband 9, which serve to secure the inserted perforated plates 7, are clearly visible in the side view. On the side with a flat bearing surface 10, with which the mounting plate 2 rests on the back of an intermediate ceiling, projects a cylindrical pipe section 11 with a height 12 as an extension of the circular recess 3 of the support surface 10 away. The free end of the pipe section 11 is chamfered here. The pipe section 11 with its height 12 and its outer diameter 13 serves as an installation aid of the mounting plate and is in the installed state in the mounting hole of the false ceiling. The diameter of the mounting hole must therefore be at least as large or slightly larger than the outer diameter 13 of the pipe section 1 can be selected.

In Fig. 4 an inventive, cylindrical mounting ring 14 having an outer diameter 15 and a height 16 is shown. The mounting ring has at its lower free end 17, which is aligned in the installed position in the false ceiling to the underlying space, a plurality of stepped bevels 18. At several portions of the outer side 19 of the mounting ring 14, an external thread 20, designed here as a coarse thread 20, arranged with helical webs 21. Above the webs 21 are each sections with locking devices 22 are provided, which are formed of a plurality of mutually parallel, toothed notches 23.

Fig. 5 shows the mounting ring 14 off Fig. 4 in the supervision. On its inner side 24, two handles 25 project radially opposite one another into the free cross section with an inner diameter 26, which serves to receive the recessed luminaires (not shown). The two handles 25 simplify the installation and adjustment of the mounting ring 14 and prevent a recessed light from being accidentally pushed upwards through the mounting ring 14 in the cavity of the false ceiling during installation.

Fig. 6 illustrates the installation of the mounting plate 2 in the opening 29 of a false ceiling 27. The mounting plate 2 is pushed through the opening 29 of the false ceiling 27 upwards or to the back of the false ceiling 27. At the edge of the substantially circular opening 29, the material thickness 28 of the plates used is the To detect false ceiling 27. The mounting plate 2 according to the invention is in detail in the FIGS. 2 and 3 already described in detail.

Fig. 7 shows a following assembly step: The in Fig. 6 mounting plate 2 shown during installation is already in its final position, with its bearing surface 10 at the back of the false ceiling 27 fitting. The mounting plate 2 is positioned so that the circular recess 3 in the mounting hole 29 is completely accessible. This is facilitated by the in Fig. 3 Further described pipe section 11 which protrudes in extension of the circular recess 3 with a height 12 in the interior of the mounting hole 29 and serves as a positioning aid for the mounting plate 2. The pipe section 1 on the mounting plate 2 is repeatedly interrupted to perform the sections with internal thread 4 and the toothed detents 5 of the locking device on its circumference.

The mounting ring 14 is inserted with its free end 17 pointing down into the mounting hole 29 and screwed into the mounting plate 2. Preferably, the mounting plate 2 has previously been screwed with fastening screws from below through the false ceiling and thus fixed in position.

Fig. 8 shows in a sectional view of the mounting device 1 with a mounting plate 2 and in the circular recess 3 already screwed by means of external thread 20 mounting ring 14, which are arranged in a mounting hole 29 of a false ceiling 27. On the inside 24 of the mounting ring 14 is a radially encircling recess 30, in which a recessed light can be fixed by snapping.

Fig. 9 represents the finished, invisible attached to the back of a false ceiling 27 mounting device. Only the mounting ring 14 as part of the mounting device is in the mounting hole 29 of the false ceiling 27, with which he concludes flush down. A recessed luminaire 31 is secured by insertion into the mounting ring 14 or by snapping them in this accordingly.

The embodiment of the locking devices 5 and 22 with toothed detents 5 and 23 shown in the figures can, of course, also be embodied in other variants - for example many toothed detents 5 can be arranged on the entire circumference of the circular recess 3 of the mounting plate and on the outside 19 of the mounting ring 14 thus a single catch 23 would be sufficient. Also others from the Locking devices known from the prior art, for example bolts or clamping devices, are conceivable.
