Abstract

L'isolant de la bougie d'allumage est constitué d'une portion interne (2) en céramique et d'une pointe saphir (3). La pointe saphir (3) est constituée d'un monocristal de saphir sans tension résiduelle ni contrainte, ni déformation. Cet isolant renferme une électrode centrale (4) en métal, laquelle électrode (4) contient une tige (5) réalisée à partir d'un matériau dont la conductivité thermique est plusieurs fois supérieure à celle de l'électrode centrale (4). Sur la surface interne (6) de la pointe saphir (3) est déposée une couche d'un adhésif haute température, sur la surface externe (7) est déposée une couche du même adhésif auquel s'ajoute de la poudre de cuivre dans une quantité maximum de 3% par volume et présentant une granulométrie maximale de 5 μm.
