Description

The present invention relates to a rifle sling, in particular a rifle for armed forces.

The applicant of the present application has been selling rifle straps for armed forces for many years.

Such a strap is usually attached at its ends to a rifle, for example an assault rifle, which allows the weapon to be worn around the neck when traveling or patrolling and avoids having to carry the weapon with both hands . It facilitates change between patrol positions and firing positions.

The document US 2008/0217371 describes such a rifle sling.

The straps of the depositor are distinguished by the fact of comprising in a portion of sheath an elastic whose function is to cushion the shocks with each step during a displacement and thus relieve the muscles of the neck.

Currently, if the fighter is injured at the trunk and is on the back, you must pass the rifle with the shoulder strap over the head to help, which can be dangerous under certain conditions. In addition, depending on the injury, it is advisable to maneuver the injured as little as possible.

The present invention aims to provide an improved rifle shoulder that overcomes the aforementioned drawbacks

For this purpose, the subject of the invention is a rifle sling comprising a first fastening strap at a first rifle end, an intermediate portion which comprises an envelope with a padding for wearing around the nape of the neck, at least one sheath having a elastic tensioner fixed inside said sheath and a fastener for securing the sheath to a second end of the rifle, characterized in that the intermediate portion and the sheath are releasably connected by a connecting hook, in that it comprises a camouflage sleeve of the hook and in that the sleeve is formed by an extension of the envelope of the intermediate portion.

By hook, of course means a bent movable attachment for fixing something.

The figure 1 shows a ramp 1 of a rifle according to the invention. This strap comprises a first fastening strap 3 intended to be fixed to a first end of a rifle not shown, such as the shoulder stock.

This fastening strap 3 is received in a first adjustment loop 5, for example made of plastic, preferably black in color and having for example a friction stop to ensure the attachment of the strap 3 when the latter is passed around the 'stopped.

The adjustment loop 5 is attached to an intermediate portion 7. This portion 7 comprises an envelope filled with preferably flat padding and is intended to be worn around the neck by the fighter. Its width and length are determined to ensure the best comfort.

This intermediate portion 7 is connected to a sheath 9 with an elastic tensioner, preferably in a detachable manner by a hook 11 visible by example on the Figure 2A . This hook 11 thus forms a hooking means.

On the figure 1 as well as on the Figure 2B this hook 11 is housed in a camouflage sheath 13, preferably made by an extension of the casing 7.

The hook 11 is a rigid hook. It is for example metallic to give good strength to the connection between the casing 7 and the sheath 9. It preferably comprises a closing tab biased by a spring in the closed position.

With this hook 11, you can easily unhook a rifle around the neck of a wounded fighter and rescue him without having to maneuver him further.

The camouflage sheath 13 avoids any possible reflection on the metal hook 11, in particular, if the metal is exposed by a large use.

It also prevents the fighter hangs his other equipment on the ramp or inadvertently injures himself.

According to a first variant, the hook 11 cooperates with a fabric loop 15 sewn onto a strap 17 to which is attached a second adjustment loop 19.

Alternatively, this loop 15 may be replaced by a not shown metal ring.

The second adjustment loop 19 receives a strap portion 21 of the sheath 9.

This adjustment strap 21 has at its free end a transverse gripping band 23 (see FIG. figure 3A ), for example hooks and loops. Thus, it is possible to wind up the excess strap 21 and to fasten it properly by the strip 23 by simply folding as shown in FIG. figure 3B and on the figure 1 .

The sheath 9 is shown more particularly in Figures 4 and 5 .

It comprises inside an elastic tensioner 25 fixed inside said sheath 9.

More particularly, the elastic tensioner 25 is made in the form of a sliding closed loop in the sheath. Sliding in the sheath, it is understood that the tensioner is not directly fixed against the wall 27 of the sheath 9, but can achieve some relative movement in the untensioned state.

Preferably, the elastic tensioner 25 comprises an elastic and a metal arch 29 joining the ends of the elastic to form a closed loop.

To maintain the tensioner 25 in the sheath and so that it can perform its function for shock absorption, the strap comprises means 31 for positioning the ends of said loop which are engaged therewith from inside the loop .
According to a first variant represented in figure 5 , the positioning means are formed by seams 33 made between walls 29 opposite the sheath, inside the elastic tensioning loop 2 5.

Thus, when the sheath 9 is stretched, these seams 33 engage from the inside with the tensioner 25 and the tensioner 25 will resiliently oppose further elongation of the sheath 9, thus damping shocks during a walk.

According to a second variant represented on the figure 6 , the positioning means comprise for each end a strap or a halyard 35 fixed to the sheath 9 outside the loop, for example by a seam and engaged with the elastic tensioner loop from the inside thereof .

Finally, the other end of the sheath 9 comprises a fastener 37 for the barrel of the rifle preferably made of a flame retardant material to withstand the heating of the barrel.

It is therefore understood that the strap of the invention has many advantages and can be adapted to the size of all fighters and the weight of any rifle.

The surplus straps or straps can be stored or folded so as not to hinder operations.

In addition, if necessary, it allows to be detached easily to allow any intervention, including relief on a wounded fighter.

Claims (5)

1. Rifle sling (1) comprising a first strap (3) for fastening to a first end of the rifle, an intermediate portion (7) which comprises a casing with a padding for wearing around the neck, at least one sheath (9) having an elastic tensioner (25) fixed inside the said sheath (9) and an attachment (37) for fixing the sheath (9) to a second end of the rifle, characterized in that the intermediate portion (7) and the sheath (9) are connected in a removable manner by a connecting hook (11), and in that it comprises a sleeve (13) for camouflaging the hook (11), and in that the sleeve (13) is formed by an extension of the casing of the intermediate part (7).
2. Sling according to Claim 1, characterized in that the hook (11) is metallic and comprises a closure tongue loaded by a spring into the closed position.
3. Sling according to any one of Claims 1 to 2, characterized in that the hook (11) cooperates with a fabric loop (15).
4. Sling according to any one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the hook cooperates with a metal ring.
5. Sling according to any one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the attachment (37) for the barrel of the rifle is made of a fireproof material.
