These types of thermocouples are more robust and offer a better connection and heat evacuation than two-wire thermocouples, which comprise a phase conductor and an earth conductor that are separate from each other. Because of this, coaxial or tubular thermocouples are more suitable for domestic applications such as hob burners, ovens, etc.
