Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Filtereinrichtung für einen Verbrennungsmotor eines Kraftfahrzeugs, gemäß dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1. Die Anbindung muss dabei einerseits zuverlässig, dass heißt fest erfolgen und andererseits eine dichte Verbindung zwischen der Filtereinrichtung einerseits und dem Verbrennungsmotor, bspw. einem Zylinderkurbelgehäuse desselben, andererseits gewährleisten. Die Erfindung beruht auf dem allgemeinen Gedanken, die Filtereinrichtung sandwichartig aufzubauen und zwar mit einem Gehäuse aus Kunststoff und einem ausgesteiften, vorzugsweise metallischen, Anbindungsflansch, über welchen die Filtereinrichtung gegen einen Verbrennungsmotor verspannbar ist. Der Anbindungsflansch liegt bei montierter Filtereinrichtung somit zwischen dem Verbrennungsmotor und dem Filtergehäuse, wobei der Anbindungsflansch zudem eine mit der Filtereinrichtung kommunizierende Medienübergabemimik mit entsprechenden Ver- / Entsorgungsleitungen bzw. Anschlüssen aufweist. Der ausgesteifte Anbindungsflansch übernimmt somit mehrere Aufgaben: Zum einen kann durch die ausgesteifte Bauweise desselben eine feste und zuverlässige Anbindung an den Verbrennungsmotor erreicht werden, wobei die vorzugsweise metallische Ausbildung des Anbindungsflanschs eine starke Verspannung desselben mit dem Verbrennungsmotor erlaubt. Zum anderen ist in dem erfindungsgemäßen Anbindungsflansch die gesamte, die Filtereinrichtung be- und entliefernde Versorgungs- / Entsorgungsmimik integriert, wodurch sich ein Anbau der erfindungsgemäßen Filtereinrichtung am Verbrennungsmotor äußerst einfach gestaltet. Die Montage erfolgt dabei zunächst durch ein Verbinden des Filtergehäuses mit dem Anbindungsflansch, wozu selbst bohrende Schrauben verwendet werden, die durch den Anbindungsflansch in das Gehäuse der Filtereinrichtung einschraubbar sind, und anschließend ein Montieren des Filtergehäuses zusammen mit dem Anbindungsflansch am Verbrennungsmotor.
