Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a laundry conditioning device, for example, of the drying or washing-drying machine type, which provides for the drying of the laundry by means of an air flow.
  • the drying circuit of known drying devices typically comprises a drum/tub assembly, a suction assembly, a heat exchanger, and a heating assembly with heating elements.
  • a drying circuit known as a closed drying circuit
  • the air flow induced by the suction assembly is heated by the heating elements and conveyed into the drum where, upon passing through the wet laundry, it causes an evaporation of water contained in the fabrics.
  • wet air is cooled down by a cold water flow or a fresh air flow. Under the cooling action, vapour condenses and is collected and discharged together with the cooling water. The dehumidified air is then sucked by the suction assembly and recirculated.
  • drying air is sucked from the environment and, after passing through the laundry, and absorbing moisture therefrom, is discharged directly into the environment.
  • Washing-drying machines comprise a support and housing structure, inside which a washing tub is housed, which is provided with a front port which is closable by means of a window port, which is frontally hinged to the housing.
  • a drum receiving the laundry to be washed and/or dried is rotatably housed inside the washing tub around a horizontal or inclined axis.
  • the drum also defines a front port arranged at the washing tub opening, in order to be able to perform the laundry loading and unloading.
  • the washing tub is adapted to hold the washing fluid during the laundry washing steps, and to constitute a portion of the drying circuit during the laundry drying step.
  • a washing water conveying system which can be connected to the water supply network.
  • Such washing water conveying system comprises one or more solenoid valves adapted to adjust the supply of a plurality of flow paths extending downstream such solenoid valves through respective compartments of a detergent-holder tray to the washing tub.
  • a waste pipe is provided at the washing tub bottom, with associated drain pump, which provides for the washing fluid removal from the tub and which controls the liquid level inside the tub together with the supply solenoid valves.
  • a heating element is provided, which is arranged inside the tub in the interspace between the tub wall of the laundry-holding tub.
  • the drying circuit of the prior art washing-drying machines essentially corresponds to the circuit of the laundry drying machines described above.
  • the laundry which is treated in the laundry drying and washing-drying machines of the prior art typically results to be ultra-dry, hot, and poorly ironable.
  • a successive re-humidification of the laundry by a rinse cycle would wet the laundry too much, thus compromising an easy ironing thereof.
  • object of the present invention is to provide a laundry conditioning device having such characteristics as to condition the laundry so as to make the ironing thereof easier.
  • the laundry conditioning device comprises:
  • the piezoelectric aerosol generator in contact with water to be converted into moisture expands and shrinks in response to a potential difference applied to the piezoelectric crystal, thus applying a high-frequency vibration (in the ultrasounds range) to the water, such as to generate an instantaneous, cold aerosol flow which can be conveyed to the laundry.
  • Figure 1 is a schematic, sectional view of a laundry conditioning device according to an embodiment of the invention.
  • FIG. 2 is a schematic, sectional view of a laundry conditioning device (laundry dryer) according to a further embodiment of the invention
  • Figure 2A is a sectional view of a detail of Figure 2 in an operative condition
  • FIG. 3 is a top view of a detail of a laundry conditioning device (washer-dryer) according to a further embodiment of the invention.
  • Figure 4 is a sectional, side view of the detail in Figure 3 ;
  • Figure 5 illustrates a detail of a laundry drying machine according to a variation of the embodiment illustrated in Figure 2 .
  • a laundry conditioning device is generally indicated with the reference numeral 1, and comprises a laundry holding space 2 which can be so closed as to essentially insulate the laundry 3 from the environment outside the device 1, as well as a humidifying device 4 adapted to inject moisture into the laundry holding space 2.
  • the humidifying device 4 comprises means to provide a water amount which is sufficient for a moisture generation, for example, a water reservoir 5 which is arranged outside the laundry space 2, but preferably inside a housing 6 of the device 1 or, alternatively, a water duct connectable to a water source outside the device.
