Bei einer Abdeckung von wenigstens 51 % der Längserstreckung des Bettes durch das Seitengitter kann von einer "geschlossenen" Bettseite gesprochen werden. Claims (8)

  1. A side grate for a bed, in particular a sick bed and/or a care bed, the one end of which side grate is mounted in a height-adjustable manner on a carrier post (34) of the bed and the other end is free-standing.
  2. A side grate according to claim 1, characterized by a displacement device (2) and a spar (3) mounted thereon.
  3. A side grate according to claim 2, characterized in that the spar (3) is disposed in a rotatable and/or displaceable manner on the displacement device (2).
  4. A side grate according to claim 2, characterized in that the displacement device (2) comprises a manually actuated locking mechanism (12).
  5. A side grate according to claim 2, characterized in that the displacement device (2) comprises guide ribs (10, 11) which are shaped correspondingly with respect to guide grooves (38, 39) provided by the carrier post (34).
  6. A side grate according to claim 5, characterized in that at least one of the guide ribs (10) comprises a position limiter (16).
  7. A side grate according to claim 2 or claim 3, characterized in that the spar (3) can be telescoped in the longitudinal direction.
  8. A bed, in particular a sick bed and/or a care bed, characterized by a side grate according to one of the preceding claims.
