Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a female plug for a connector system providing the connection of the first and second conductive means of signal transmission, said connector system comprising a self-locking system of the push-pull type some of whose elements are integral with the female plug, said female plug comprising a tubular body housing an insert equipped to receive each of the ends of the first signal conduction means and ensure their connection with the ends of the second signal conduction means. The invention also relates to a male plug conjugate to the socket and a self-locking connector system formed by the aforementioned male and female plugs.
The connectors for connecting self-locking signal transmission conductors of the push-pull type have been known for several years. These connectors comprise a socket more commonly known as socket comprising essentially a socket housing an insert equipped to receive each of the ends of the conductors and a plug more commonly known as plug. The surface of the tubular body of the socket is often provided with windows or blind holes forming part of the locking system. The plug comprises an inner socket housing an insert similar to the plug insert and a locking system comprising resilient tongues provided with locking profiles complementary to the windows or blind holes of the tubular body of the catch. A control sleeve is movably mounted on the inner socket of the plug, provided with means for pushing the tabs against the elastic thrust and unlock the assembly. The shapes and layouts of different means cooperating in locking and unlocking vary. The fact of arranging in the wall of the tubular body of the window or blind hole socket weakens the wall and compromises the tightness that is desired in several areas of use of these self-locking connectors, if only in the medical field. .
The present invention provides a solution to this problem namely to propose a socket or plug a push-pull connector whose outer tubular body is perfectly sealed and is not weakened by the presence of locking means especially when the plug is small dimensions and the thickness of the wall is small.
The invention also provides a corresponding plug or plug and the self-locking connector obtained by the collaboration of these two plugs and sockets.
The socket or socket is defined by
According to a variant, said elements of the self-locking system consist of at least two positive or negative or alternating reliefs located on the periphery of said insert.
Indeed, the use of at least two positive reliefs (protuberances) or negative (recesses) or alternating on the side walls of the insert provides a lock with a plug provided with complementary means while not weakening the tubular body of the socket and making a good seal possible. The reliefs will have a profile facilitating the engagement with the complementary elements of the card and preventing the inadvertent unlocking.
The insert can be made in one piece with the tubular body of the socket, for example, if the tubular body and the insert are of an insulating material all being obtained by injection.
The invention also relates to a plug or plug intended to collaborate with a socket or socket to form a connector system, characterized in that it comprises a first tubular body housing an insert equipped to receive each of the ends of the second means of signal conduction, said tubular body being extended axially by at least two resilient tongue means provided with locking means together with said elements of the self-locking system on said insert of the socket, a second tubular body slidably mounted on said first body and provided with means for urging said locking means against the elastic force of said tab means.

The self-locking of the
Finally the
It is possible to modify the various elements described above by way of example, while respecting the purpose of the present invention namely to involve the insert of the plug for locking instead of the tubular body.
