Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of artificial turf, also called artificial turf. In this field, the method of assembling synthetic threads by slight twisting is known to those skilled in the art as cabling or twisting. This preliminary step makes it possible to form a wire cable for feeding a tufting machine.
A synthetic turf is generally made from synthetic threads inserted in tufts in a carrier in the form of a PVC sheet or elastomer. In order to create the tufts, several synthetic threads are simultaneously inserted into the support by the tufting machine, the threads passing through the needle cat at the same time. The tufting machine makes it possible to insert the threads in the support forming continuous loops. The loops are then cut to leave only tufts. To ensure the joining of the tufts, the support can be raised in temperature in order to heat-seal the tufts with the support.
In order to facilitate the passage of several threads in the cat of the needle, it is thus known said cabling or twisting process in which the synthetic threads are previously associated with each other by a slight twist.
This method is well controlled for traditional synthetic turf for which the synthetic son are only flat son. It allows the manufacture of turf whose tufts are then formed of said flat son. In order to limit the risks of falling or burning, the bottom of such a turf may be provided with elastomer granules.
The manufacturing process of this type of synthetic turf is substantially the same as that of lawns consisting only of flat threads. The step of heating the support of this new type of turf, however, makes it possible to cause the retraction of the textured yarns to the bottom under the effect of heat. This results in a much more lawn-like grass with both a dried-up appearance in the background, green, young growth. This grass is less abrasive thanks to textured yarns lining the bottom of the grass, so adding elastomer granules to the grass bottom is not necessary.
However, during the manufacture of this type of turf, there is however an increase in the breakage of threads on the tufting machine. However, the inventors have identified the cause of this problem as bad wire wiring. They thus concluded that traditional methods of wiring or twisting yarns are not suitable for this type of turf.
Indeed, the son cable obtained by traditional methods, and which includes flat son and textured son, is nervous. When unwound, the twisted thread tends to twist. More particularly, the inventors have found during the unwinding of the cable withdrawal of the textured yarn with respect to the son son forming an accumulation of son, which causes breaks.

Une bobine de réception 11, notamment entraînée par un cylindre 28, permet le bobinage du câble de fils 12.Also, said textured yarn package may be fixed so that the package and its

This cable is obtained from two coils of
The son cable according to the invention finds a particular application for the formation of loops on a support such as an elastomeric sheet or PVC and the sectioning of the loops to leave only tufts. The cable is inserted by a tufting machine.
Of course, other modes of implementation, within the reach of ordinary skill in the art, could have been envisaged without departing from the scope of the invention defined by the claims below.
