- Inking or printing unit of a printing press,- which inking or printing unit comprises an ink transfer roll (1) which comprises a roll body which is adjoined by end-side journals,- each journal of the roll being mounted rotatably via at least one bearing (2, 3, 7) in in each case one bearing housing of the inking or printing unit,- and it being possible for the bearing housings to be moved independently of one another relative to a further cylinder for setting the ink transfer roll (1) against the further cylinder of the printing press,

- Inking or printing unit according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the at least one bearing (2, 3, 7) is a radial bearing.
- Inking or printing unit according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the at least one bearing (2, 3, 7) is an axial bearing (7).
- Inking or printing unit according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the ink transfer roll (1) can be displaced in the axial direction against an axial bearing (7) by means of a displacement drive (5, 13).
- Inking or printing unit according to one of the two preceding claims, characterized in that the axial bearing (7) is a constituent part of a system for setting the lateral register of the ink transfer roll.
- Inking or printing unit according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the mounting is provided on the drive side (AS) of the ink transfer roll (1).
- Inking or printing unit according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the mounting (24) mounts at least one bearing (7) pivotably, in which a shaft is mounted which transmits torque to a shaft journal of the ink transfer roll (1).
