Claims (15)

  1. Collecting container for a document shredder (1), which is removably arranged in an interior space (2a) open at one side, the space being provided below a cutting mechanism in the housing (2) of the document shredder (1) or like apparatus, wherein a profiled front part (8) is associated with the front wall (7) of the collecting container (3) and is connected with the wall (7) at least in a section, characterised in that at least a lefthand edge region and a righthand edge region, preferably also an upper edge region, of the front part (8) protrudes laterally beyond the front wall (7) and arranged at the inner side (8b) of the front part (8) are at least two mutually spaced-apart strips (19, 20) between which the front longitudinal edges (17) of the front wall (7) of the collecting container (3) as well as regions of the side walls (5 and 6) near the edges are positioned and preferably also mechanically positively retained.
  2. Collecting container according to claim 1, characterised in that the front part (8) bears by its inner side (8b) directly against the outer side (7a) of the front wall (7).
  3. Collecting container according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the front part (8) is arranged at the front wall (7) with the inner side (8b) of the front part spaced at least in a section from the outer side (7a).
  4. Collecting container according to claim 1, 2 or 3, characterised in that detent means (14) for hooking with the front wall (7) are provided at the inner side (8b) of the front part (8) in the upper region.
  5. Collecting container according to claim 1, 2, 3 or 4, characterised in that support parts (13) which preferably engage in passages (7a) in the front wall (7) are provided at the inner side (8b) of the front part (8) in the lower region.
  6. Collecting container according to claim 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5, characterised in that a conically narrowing cut-out (8e) extends in the front part (8) symmetrically with respect to the vertical medial plane thereof from the lower edge (9d) and projects into the upper region as far as a transversely disposed base (8f).
  7. Collecting container according to claim 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6, characterised in that the edges (11) of the side walls (5 and 6) are inclined downwardly, starting from the front wall (7), in rearward direction towards the rear wall (4).
  8. Collecting container according to claim 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7, characterised in that the projections (10a, 10b and 10c), which protrude upwardly and laterally beyond the collecting container (5, 6, 7), of the front part (8) respectively have several rib-shaped webs (21 or 22).

  12. Collecting container according to claims 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5, characterised in that the front part (8) is non-positively and/or mechanically positively connected with the front wall (7).
  13. Collecting container according to claim 12, characterised in that the connection is produced by screwing, glueing and/or welding.
  14. Collecting container according to claim 12 or 13, characterised in that the non-positive connection between the two parts (7 and 8) of the door (1) is punctiform.
  15. Collecting container according to at least one of the claims 1 to 14, characterised in that at least area sections of the collecting container (3) consist of translucent, preferably transparent, material, preferably the front wall (7) thereof, particularly the flat part (16) of the indentation (15) thereof.
