Description

The invention relates to a washer-dryer with a laundry drum rotatably mounted in a drum housing and a water inlet opening provided in a wall of the drum housing for the entry of cooling and / or condensate water into the drum housing.

Prior art washer-dryers show the documents WO 2006/029953 WO 2007/138019 A1 such as EP 0 636 732 B1 . DE 44 27 361 A1 and DE 195 22 307 C2 , The three last-mentioned documents primarily each describe a washer-dryer which has a water-cooled condenser for drying wet laundry by means of a circulating process air stream.

Under a washer dryer is thus understood a household appliance, which can both wash and dry laundry and is equipped with appropriate facilities. Like a conventional washing machine, a washer-dryer has a drum housing together with a rotatable drum for receiving the laundry, facilities for supplying and discharging water and laundry treatment means, etc. In addition, a process air circuit is formed in the washer-dryer by a fan, heating channel, drum with laundry load and condenser to dry the washed laundry by a process air flow in the process air circuit. The condenser can be water or air cooled. The air inlet into the drum is usually in the door area above the sight glass, and the air outlet from the drum is located on a wall, in particular on the drum shell or in the drum rear wall. The air outlet opening is at the same time condensate and / or cooling water inlet opening in the drum. From the drum housing periodically water is pumped out during a drying process. Because of the construction space, an air-water countercurrent with strong turbulences is created in this air outlet opening.

For the best possible washing effect with low water consumption, the distances between the laundry drum and the drum housing are minimized even in a washer-dryer; However, in a subsequent drying of the laundry, the drum and the laundry to be dried therein can be moistened unintentionally by water swirls of the condensate water in the area of the air outlet opening. Such undesired moistening worsens the consumption values of the drying process, since the distributed water for re-discharging through the process air flow in particular again must be evaporated. In an arrangement in which the air outlet is located on the drum shell, the vortex formation can be reduced by a uniform enlargement of the outlet opening.

It is the object of the following invention, in a basic construction of a washer dryer in which the water inlet opening is located at the rear of the drum to reduce or even prevent the wetting of the inner drum and laundry with condensate and / or cooling water.

This object is achieved by means of a washer-dryer according to the independent claim. Preferred embodiments are in particular the dependent claims.

The washer-dryer is provided with a laundry drum (inner drum) mounted rotatably in a drum housing (outer drum, tub) and a water inlet opening provided in a wall of the drum housing for entry of cooling water and / or condensate water; In this case, the wall has a recess which extends from the water inlet opening approximately perpendicular to the wall and outwardly of the drum housing.

According to the invention does not penetrate water from the water inlet opening in a straight path in the drum housing, but it must first flow through the return. As a result, the formation of drops and splashes in the area of the inner drum and any laundry there in the drum housing is avoided.

The wall with the recess is preferably a rear wall, and the recess extends in the direction of a jacket of the drum housing.

It is quite conceivable and may also be advantageous, depending on the design of the drum housing and the other components of the washer dryer connected thereto, to provide the water inlet opening with the recess on another wall of the drum housing, in particular on its jacket.

If the water inlet opening is provided on the rear wall of the drum housing, the rear wall preferably has a recess which extends from the water inlet opening in the direction of the jacket of the drum housing or in the direction of the edge of the rear wall.

If appropriate, the recess can also be regarded as an extension of the water inlet opening in the direction of the jacket of the rear wall. A washer-dryer with a distance-optimized air outlet region in the drum rear wall reduces the rewetting of the laundry item to be dried by swirling water and is thus improved in terms of the expenditure on energy and time for the drying process.

Preferably, the water inlet opening in the drum housing simultaneously corresponds to the air outlet opening in a process air duct. Alternatively, however, the water inlet opening and the air outlet opening can be completely or partially separated from one another.

Richtung ausgestaltet.Preferably, the rear wall extends outward along a radial direction, for example, along an imaginary line that passes approximately through the center of the rear wall and the center of the air inlet opening. Preferably, the return is designed mirror-symmetrically with respect to this line or direction.

It is preferred for the reduced filling of a fold on a front bottom of the drum of the laundry drum when the recess extends at least to a radial position which is opposite a jacket of the laundry drum, in particular, if the recess further extends to a shell of the drum housing.

Preferably, the recess at least partially has a tapered (funnel-shaped) shape starting from the water inlet opening, in particular a funnel shape extending over the majority of the length or the entire length of the recess. This will reduce the width or cross-sectional area of the funnel.

Preferably, the recess has a tapering in plan view from the front at least in sections form. This shape may comprise, at least in sections or regions, a curved or straight contour, in particular a tulip-shaped contour.

This shape may comprise, at least in sections or regions, a curved or straight contour, in particular a tulip-shaped contour. Preferably, a distance between a fold on an end face of the jacket of the laundry drum and the drum housing is more than 8 mm, in particular more than 10 mm.

In order to avoid swirling of water, edges in the area of the water inlet opening are rounded, in particular rounded in the shape of a nozzle.

FIG. 1
shows a sectional front view of components of a known washer-dryer with an air outlet opening or water inlet opening on the drum shell;
FIG. 2
shows a sectional view in cross-sectional view of a section of a washer dryer according to said embodiment with a water inlet opening on a rear wall of the drum housing;
FIG. 3

FIG. 1 shows components of a washer-dryer with air-condensation cooling, which is in the state after a wash and before a drying cycle. The washer-dryer has a drum housing 1 (outer drum, tub), in which a laundry drum 2 (inner drum) for receiving laundry 3 is rotatably mounted. By means of a fresh water supply line 4, which opens into a dispenser 5, water is supplied with or without detergent additive to the drum housing 1 and forms there a free fleet 6. The aufwärmbare a heater 7 free fleet 6 can by means of a drain pump 8 through a drain channel 9 to the outside be drained. In addition, a substantially self-contained process air duct 10 for the process air is connected to the tub 1. The upper part 11 of the process air duct 10 is connected to the pressure side of a process air blower 12 and opens at its other end in the drum housing 1 above the filling opening (not shown here) of the laundry drum 2. The lower part 13 of the process air duct 10 is to the suction side of the process air blower 12 connected and opens into an air outlet opening or water inlet opening 14 (relative to the drum housing 1) in a lower portion of the drum housing 1. However, this water inlet opening 14 is still above the level that is ever reached by the fleet 6 during washing or rinsing. In the upper channel part 11, a heating device, not shown here, is typically also arranged for heating the process air. In the drying operation, the process air is blown by means of the blower 12 through the heater, heated there and then mixed in the laundry drum 2 with the wet laundry 3. There, the heat energy is used to evaporate the water in the laundry 3. The thus loaded with steam process air is then cooled in a condenser 15 and passed back to the fan 12.

For this purpose, the condensation device 15 designed as a heat exchanger, which essentially has a cooler 16, is mounted in a lower part 13 of the process air channel 10. The cooler 16 is cooled here by fresh air, which is sucked from the environment of the washer dryer by a cooling air blower 17 and fed to the cooler 16 via the cooling air inflow channel 18. After flowing through the radiator 16 and receiving heat energy from the process air, the cooling air is conducted via a cooling air outflow channel 19 to an exhaust air outlet 20. When condensing the process air in the cooler 16 resulting condensate is discharged via a downpipe 21 through the water inlet opening 14 to the drum housing 1 and pumped from there by means of the drain pump 8 from time to time in the sewage system. The downpipe 21 is designed here as part of the process air duct 10. During drying, therefore, a mass transport of water results from the laundry 3 located in the drum 2 to the outside. This reduces the weight of the laundry 3 and thus also the force on the vibrating system.

Since the water inlet opening 14 is at the same time air outlet for the process air from the drum housing 1 and condensate or cooling water inlet into the drum 1 from the above arranged condensation device 15, arises at this opening 14 space reasons an air-water countercurrent with strong turbulence. For the best possible washing effect with low water consumption, the distances between the washing drum 2 and drum housing 1 are minimized. In a following laundry drying However, by water vortex of the condensate water to be dried laundry 3 and the inner drum 2 can be moistened again unintentionally. An unwanted humidification by condensate water deteriorates the consumption values of the drying process.

In this figure, only for a clearer view of the individual components, the variant of the washer-dryer with the water inlet opening 14 on the jacket of the drum housing 1 is shown. In principle, these elements are also present when the water inlet opening 14 is arranged on the rear wall of the drum housing 1.

FIG. 2 shows a side view of a section of a washer-dryer 22, in which now the water inlet opening 14 is arranged in a rear wall 23 of the drum housing 1; FIG. 3 Since the laundry drum 2 is not closed on the back, but to achieve a good flow characteristics of the process air drum openings 24 in the rear wall 25 of the laundry drum 2 are present, condensate can through the drum openings 24 in the Wash drum 2 penetrate. This can be done by direct spraying of condensate water in the drum openings 24, but above all by an accumulation of sprayed condensate in an inadvertently serving as a collecting groove fold 26 at the front bottom of the shell 27 of the laundry drum 2. Upon rotation of the laundry drum 2, the therein Water entrained, can run down on the rear wall 25 of the laundry drum 2 and thus pass through the drum openings 24 in the laundry drum 2. Particularly critical is the distance d between the fold 26 and the drum housing 1, which is less than 8 mm so far.

In order to avoid rewetting the laundry 3, the rear wall 23 of the drum housing 1, a recess 28 which extends from the water inlet opening 14, starting in the direction of the edge of the back or a jacket 29 of the drum housing 1, via a the jacket of the laundry drum 2 opposite radial position P out to the jacket 29 of the drum housing 1. The contour of the previously used drum housing 1 and the process air duct 10 are shown in dashed lines. The horizontal distance d between the fold 26 and the drum housing 1 is thereby increased to more 10 mm. By this recess 28, it is difficult splash water to get into the drum openings 24, as well as to collect in the fold 26.

The recess 28 has in particular a side view ( FIG. 2 ) starting from the drum opening 14 funnel-shaped downwardly tapering shape, wherein the recess 28 has a continuously tapering in cross-section shown in the form shown. The recess 28 also has a front view ( FIG. 3 ) to the edge or jacket 29 of tapered, tulip-shaped form. This shape is curved at two terminal sections and straight between them. In this case, the return is executed with respect to a radial direction shown here Strichpunktet radial direction.

To reduce the vortex formation at the water inlet opening 14 or in the water outlet region of the recess 28 and the transition region B between the recess 28 and the remaining rear wall 23 are formed without edges. In general, edges or transitions in the water outlet area are flow-optimized, for.

FIG. 4 shows a washer-dryer 30 in the region of the water inlet opening 14, which is now just above the fold 26. The recess 28 is formed to a height just below the fold 26, but not quite up to the jacket 29th

Of course, the present invention is not limited to the embodiment shown. Thus, instead of the air cooling shown, a cooler / condenser with water cooling can be used. Also, other forms of return are possible, for. B. funnel-shaped with straight outer contour or straight down, and the recess may be attached to a wall other than the rear wall. Also, the return can be made shorter. Furthermore, the recess need not extend radially from the water inlet opening to the outside, but for example also angled to a radial direction. Also, the return can, for example, additionally extend backward.
