Abstract

L'invention concerne un produit de type fil (10) destiné à être utilisé comme produit de départ dans la pulvérisation ou la soudure métallique ou plasma, ce produit comprenant une enveloppe métallique (12) et une âme composite (14) qui se trouve dans l'enveloppe, cette âme étant partiellement frittée et contenant suffisamment de métal pour conduire le courant électrique. Pour former le produit de type fil, un segment tubulaire métallique (20) est rempli d'une poudre (26) en absence d'oxygène. Puis le segment tubulaire est réduit dans sa section transversale afin de compacter la poudre qui se trouve à l'intérieur. Ensuite, le segment tubulaire est chauffé pour un recuit et un frittage partiel (32) de la poudre. Une autre réduction de section transversale fractionne le frittage partiel en particules qui sont à nouveau compactées, un autre chauffage permettant de recuire le segment tubulaire et de fritter à nouveau les particules. La répétition de ce cycle permet de réaliser ledit produit de type fil.
