Ausgehend von einer Vorrichtung mit den eingangs beschriebenen Merkmalen wird die Aufgabe erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, dass die Kühlleistung der Kälteanlage auf mehrere Kühlstellen aufteilbar ist, die in Längsrichtung eines Bandförderers angeordnet sind und Einrichtungen zum Anschluss eines Speiseverteilergerätes aufweisen. Bei der Kälteanlage kann es sich um eine externe Anlage oder eine in dem Bandförderer integrierte Kälteanlage handeln, die vorzugsweise als Kompressionskälteanlage ausgebildet ist. Erfindungsgemäß werden die entlang des Bandförderers stehenden Speiseverteilergeräte durch eine Kälteunterverteilung mitversorgt. Die Speiseverteilergeräte bleiben fahrbar und benötigen keine eigene Kältemaschine. Die Speiseverteilergeräte werden an den Verdampfer positioniert und weisen mit dem Verdampfer im Wärmeaustausch stehende Flächen oder Einrichtungen auf. Die Verdampfer können ferner auch in Kühlluftkanälen angeordnet sein, die an einen Kühl- oder Mantellraum der Speiseverteilergeräte anschließbar sind.
