Das Netz 38 wird über Einstellösen (nicht dargestellt) gestrafft und bieten somit bei einem Unfall sicheren Halt für die Kopfstütze 31 bzw. die Oberkörperstütze 32, um damit als Schutz gegen ein Umkippen des Rollstuhles 70 und gegen Verletzung der Person im Bereich des Kopfes zu dienen. Um die Person zusätzlich zu schützen, umfasst das dargestellte Rückhaltesystem 10 auch einen Drei-Punkt-Sicherheitsgurt 34, der ebenfalls am Fahrzeugboden 82 in einer dort angeordneten Gurtpeitsche bzw. Halterung 37 befestigt ist.
