Figur 4a zeigt in einer Ansicht auf den Schlüsselrücken 4 des Schlüssels aus Figur 1, dass der Schaft 1, einen sich verjüngenden, geneigt zur Längsachse des Schaftes 1 angeordneten Abschnitt 12 hat, wodurch die in den Figuren 2 und 3 dargestellten unterschiedlichen Dicken des Schaftes 1 erzeugt werden. Der Schaft 1 ist symmetrisch. Die Längsachse wird in diesem Ausführungsbeispiel von der strichpunktiert dargestellten Symmetrieachse gebildet. Damit sind die beiden Breitseiten 3, 3' des Schaftes 1 gleich aufgebaut. Der Schaft 1 weist einen sich an dem geneigt angeordneten Abschnitt 12 zu der Schlüsselspitze 9 hin erstreckenden, parallelen Abschnitt 13 der Breitseiten 3, 3' mit konstanter Dicke auf. Der Übergang des sich verjüngenden Abschnitts 12 zu dem Abschnitt 13 mit konstanter Dicke weist einen Radius R auf. Der sich verjüngende Abschnitt 14 erstreckt sich über die gesamte Länge des Schaftes 1 und kann beispielsweise von einem Walzenfräser mit einem besonders großem Radius R erzeugt werden. Claims (8)

  1. A key for a cylinder lock with a shaft (1) and a handle (2), with profile grooves (6, 7) arranged on broad sides of the shaft (1) opposite one another and arranged parallel to the shaft (1), characterized in that the shaft (1) has a tapered section (12, 14, 15) and that the tapered section (12, 14, 15) generates a constant reduction of the thickness of the shaft (1) extending from the handle (2) toward the key tip (9) and that the shaft (1) close to the handle (2) is thicker than close to the key tip (9).
  2. A key according to Claim 1, characterized in that the profile grooves (6, 7, 10 11) continuously have a constant depth over the entire length of the shaft (1).
  3. A key according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that at least one parallel section (13, 16, 17) of the broad sides (3, 3') is connected to the tapered section (12, 14, 15).
  4. A key according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the tapered section (14) is arranged in the middle area of the shaft (1) and that in each case a parallel section (16, 17) of the broad sides (3, 3') is connected to the ends of the tapered section (14).
  5. A key according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the tapered section (12) is generated by an inclination of both broad sides (3, 3') to the respectively opposite broad side (3, 3').
  6. A key according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the transition of the tapered section towards the parallel section (13) of the broad sides (3, 3') has a radius (R).
  7. A key according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the tapered section (12, 15) is designed as an inclination.
  8. A key according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the tapered section (14) has a curvature.
