Definitions
- the present invention relates to a positioning device for fastening a workpiece in a workpiece holding device, in particular in a vice, with at least one provided for abutment on the workpiece holding device holding device installation side and with at least one workpiece abutment provided for abutment on the workpiece.
- Generic positioning devices are known in the prior art and are also referred to as so-called parallel documents. These are plates which are positioned together with the workpiece to be machined between the clamping jaws of the workpiece holding device. They either serve to support the workpiece to prevent the workpiece from sinking between the jaws of the workpiece holder. Or they are used to keep the jaws farther apart in the clamping position to improve the accessibility of a tool needed to machine the workpiece.
- Generic positioning devices are eg in the EP 1 402 996 A1 shown.
- the generic positioning devices known from the prior art function essentially only for workpieces with parallel outer edges. For workpieces with irregular outer contour, it is often very difficult or even impossible to position the workpiece by means of the positioning sufficiently secure and strong for processing between the jaws of the workpiece holding device.
- the object of the invention is to propose an improvement here.
- a positioning device of the above-mentioned type in that the positioning device has a first positioning device part and at least one second positioning device part, and the first positioning device part has the retaining device contact side and the second positioning device part has the workpiece contact side and wherein the first positioning device part and the second positioning device part can be arranged in at least two, preferably a plurality of, mutually different operating positions to each other, wherein the Garvoriquessstromseite and the workpiece system side are arranged in different operating positions at different angles relative to each other.
- a basic idea of the invention is thus to design the positioning device in two parts, wherein the two parts of the positioning device can be arranged in different operating positions at different angles relative to one another. This makes it possible to adapt the orientation of the workpiece contact side to the respective outer contour of the workpiece to be machined, whereby a secure positioning of the workpiece between the jaws of the workpiece holding device by means of the positioning is possible, even if the workpiece has an irregular outer contour.
- Operating positions are understood to mean exclusively those positions of the two positioning parts, in which a workpiece in the workpiece holding device can also be securely held. Operating positions are therefore not positions of the positioning parts in which the positioning device can not fulfill its function for fastening or positioning a workpiece in a workpiece holding device.
- the retainer abutment side of the first positioning device part is usually formed, as well as the surface of the jaw, on which it is arranged flat. If this is not the case, then the tangent to the holding device installation side, with which the first positioning device part can be fastened to a clamping jaw, can be used to determine the above-mentioned angle. The same applies to the workpiece plant side of the second positioning device. If this side is not flat, then here too a corresponding tangent for determining the angle is to be used. Ultimately, in practice, however, not the measurement of the angle itself is crucial, but the fact that the two positioning parts can be arranged at different angles relative to each other.
- the separating surface between the two positioning parts for example via a toothing or the like only discreetly predetermined angle between the fixture abutment side and the workpiece plant side allows. It is more favorable, however, if the first positioning device part and the second positioning device part can be arranged in a plurality of mutually different operating positions, wherein the holding device contact side and the workpiece contact side in the operating positions in an angular range between a first critical angle and a second critical angle are arranged continuously at different angles relative to each other. This means that any angle can be set in an angular range between the two critical angles.
- first positioning device part and the second positioning device part can be fastened to one another at a separating surface curved along a circular arc segment in the operating positions.
- first positioning device part and the second positioning device part can be fastened to one another at a separating surface curved along a circular arc segment in the operating positions.
- Fig. 1 to 3 show three perspective views in which the two positioning parts 5 and 6 are arranged at different angles to each other. All three figures show operating positions.
- Fig. 1 is the illustrated by the tangent 18 to the workpiece contact side 4 and the tangent 18 'to the Walkervoriquessstromseite 3 angle equal to 0 °.
- the fixture abutment side 3 and the workpiece abutment side 4 are in the operating position according to Fig. 1 so aligned parallel to each other.
- the workpiece plant side 4 is arranged at an acute angle relative to the holding device contact side 3.
- the separating surface 9 between the two positioning parts 5 and 6 is formed in the embodiment shown as a curved along a circular arc segment separation surface with a constant radius or constant curvature.
- the two Positionier Rheinsmaschine 5 and 6 can be moved against each other at this separation surface 9 and conveniently, as also stated in this embodiment, are removed from each other. Between the limiting angles, various angles can be continuously set between the workpiece placing side 4 and the holding device contacting side 3.
- the marks 7 and 8 symbolize the critical angle of this embodiment.
- the outer edges 19 of the second positioning device 6 should always be outside the range between the two markings 7 and 8.
- the size of the angle range between the two limit angles can be predetermined by a corresponding dimensioning of the positioning device parts 5 and 6 and by a corresponding radius of curvature of the separating surface 9 in the embodiment of a positioning device according to the invention.
- the marks 7 and 8 are just one example of how the critical angles can be specified. Other types of labeling are possible.
- the separating surface 9 is formed between the two positioning parts 5 and 6 in the form of groove 10 and spring 11. This ensures in a simple manner exact positioning of the two positioning parts 5 and 6 to each other.
- the groove 10 is formed on the second positioning member 6, and the first positioning device 5 carries a correspondingly shaped spring 11.
- tongue and groove can of course also in the other positioning parts 5 and 6 arranged or be varied in their design and number.
- the embodiment shown has two differently shaped contact surfaces 14 and 15 for workpieces 1 on its workpiece contact side 4.
- the contact surface 14 is flat, so it lies over its entire extent in a plane.
- the other contact surface 15, however, is corrugated or serrated in this embodiment. This is particularly beneficial when corners of the workpiece are to be held. These can engage in the corrugated or jagged abutment surface 15, so that slippage of the workpiece 1 clamped in the workpiece holding device 2 by means of the positioning device according to the invention is prevented.
- At least one, preferably each, contact surface 14 and 15 is favorably associated with an additional support surface 16 or support edge.
- This serves to support the workpiece in a different direction than the contact surfaces 14 and 15.
- the additional support surface 16 is arranged orthogonal to the respective contact surface 14 or 15, as shown in the embodiment of the embodiment also shows. This ensures that the workpiece 1 can be supported not only laterally but also downwards.
- the support surfaces 16 or support edges are conveniently adjacent to, preferably immediately after the, their associated (n) contact surface 14 or 15 arranged.
- Fig. 4 shows a view of the retainer system side 3 of the first positioning part 5.
- the use of magnets 13 for this attachment has the advantage that the positioning device can be attached extremely quickly and flexibly in the respectively desired position on a clamping jaw of the workpiece holding device 2. An elaborate and time-consuming tightening the positioning of the jaws 17 is thereby avoided.
- the magnets 13 are selected so that they are sufficiently strong to prevent the positioning device from slipping again from the once set position before the clamping jaws 17 become distorted. But you are conveniently not executed too strong, so that a targeted change this position or removing the positioning of the jaws 17 by hand and preferably without tools is possible.
- these magnets 13 are the only means of positioning with which the positioning or the first positioning device 5 is attached to the workpiece holding device 2. An additional screwing or the like would only cost unnecessary time.
- the two positioning parts 5 and 6 are magnetically attached to each other.
- the second Positionier noticedsteil 6 a facing the separation surface 9 magnet 12 is provided. This is intended to keep the two Positionier Rheinsmaschine 5 and 6 at least in all between the limit angles 7 and 8 possible operating positions together.
- the magnet 12 is in turn designed so that a once manually set position between the two positioning parts 5 and 6 holds securely, this position by hand, preferably without the use of tools, but also moved, or can be changed.
- the magnet 12 may also be provided elsewhere, for example also on the first positioning device part 5.
- the magnet or magnets 12 are designed so that the two positioning parts 5 and 6 by hand along their separation surface 9 against each other displaced and also by hand are removable from each other.
- the magnet (s) 12 are desirably the only one of the positioning means own fasteners with which the two Positionier Rheinsmaschine 5 and 6 are held together.
- Both the magnets 13 and the magnet (s) 12 are for the sake of simplicity permanent magnets, but it is also the use of electromagnets and the like conceivable.
- the magnets 12 and 13 each serve to pre-position the positioning device (s) in the desired position on the jaws 17 before the workpiece 1 is arranged between them and then clamped.
- the holding forces of the magnets 12 and 13 are usually completely irrelevant, since the overall arrangement of at least one positioning and the workpiece between the jaws 17 are held by the clamping forces of the workpiece holding device. Only when loosening the jaws 17 take the magnets 12 and 13 back to their task, since they then prevent the positioning already falls when opening the jaws 17 down or apart.
- Fig. 6 again shows a side view of the held together positioning parts 5 and 6th
- FIGS. 7 and 8 now show an example of a first installation situation, as the embodiment of the invention Fig. 1 to 6 a positioning device for fixing a workpiece 1 in a workpiece holding device 2 can be used.
- the workpiece 1 selected here only by way of example has a trapezoidal shape and, without the positioning device according to the invention in the position shown, could only be clamped with great difficulty or not sufficiently firmly between the clamping jaws 17 of the workpiece holding device 2 designed here as a vice.
- 1 positioning devices according to the invention are provided on both sides of the workpiece. But this does not necessarily have to be the case. When appropriately shaped Workpieces 1 it may already be sufficient to use a single such positioning.
- FIGS. 9 and 10 show an installation situation in which the workpiece 1 is held securely by the planar contact surface 14 and its associated support surface 16 in the horizontal and vertical directions. Which of the two contact surfaces 14 or 15 are used can be decided depending on the outer contour of the workpiece 1.
- the Positionier Rheinsmaschine 5 and 6 are conveniently formed of a very hard material such as steel. Depending on the field of use, however, it is also possible to use other metals or other materials, such as plastic or ceramic, to form the positioning device.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a positioning device for fastening a workpiece in a workpiece holding device, in particular in a vice, with at least one provided for abutment on the workpiece holding device holding device installation side and with at least one workpiece abutment provided for abutment on the workpiece.
The object of the invention is to propose an improvement here.
This is achieved in a positioning device of the above-mentioned type, in that the positioning device has a first positioning device part and at least one second positioning device part, and the first positioning device part has the retaining device contact side and the second positioning device part has the workpiece contact side and wherein the first positioning device part and the second positioning device part can be arranged in at least two, preferably a plurality of, mutually different operating positions to each other, wherein the Haltevorrichtungsanlageseite and the workpiece system side are arranged in different operating positions at different angles relative to each other.
A basic idea of the invention is thus to design the positioning device in two parts, wherein the two parts of the positioning device can be arranged in different operating positions at different angles relative to one another. This makes it possible to adapt the orientation of the workpiece contact side to the respective outer contour of the workpiece to be machined, whereby a secure positioning of the workpiece between the jaws of the workpiece holding device by means of the positioning is possible, even if the workpiece has an irregular outer contour.
Operating positions are understood to mean exclusively those positions of the two positioning parts, in which a workpiece in the workpiece holding device can also be securely held. Operating positions are therefore not positions of the positioning parts in which the positioning device can not fulfill its function for fastening or positioning a workpiece in a workpiece holding device.
The retainer abutment side of the first positioning device part is usually formed, as well as the surface of the jaw, on which it is arranged flat.
In principle, it is conceivable that the separating surface between the two positioning parts, for example via a toothing or the like only discreetly predetermined angle between the fixture abutment side and the workpiece plant side allows. This can be achieved, for example, in that the first positioning device part and the second positioning device part can be fastened to one another at a separating surface curved along a circular arc segment in the operating positions. In this way, in any case, a particularly good adaptation of the positioning device to the outer contour of the workpiece to be machined is possible.

Conveniently, the separating
The embodiment shown has two differently
As shown in the embodiment shown in the figures, at least one, preferably each,
In the embodiment shown, the two
Both the
